    10:10 Having done LSD enough times i can say xQc is fairly accurate. Psychedelics in my experience put you in a state of mind where you think about things from a far less egotistical perspective. For me it was complete ego death but i think for some it might not be. That experience can be uplifting and pleasant but it can just as easily be the opposite. You are extremely vulnerable mentally and any negative thoughts or influences can have a huge impact on the experience and how it will effect you after. Psychedelics can completely change parts of you personality and ego, for me the changes have been positive helping me get over serious anxiety and self hate issues but can easily have the opposite effect. Excessive use will also lead to extreme effects. I have a friend who tried micro dosing for an extended period of time and after he stopped for a little over a year he experienced Hallucinogen persisting perception disorder which are random hallucinations like flashing lights in your peripheral vision.

      Actually giga based chatter.
      I've done LSD multiple times too and I've had basically the same experience that you just described, ego death into realizations about how much better my life could be. It helped me take stuff less seriously and look more at the bright side of life.
      The more I read about cases of people's problems with psychodelics, the more I realize how lucky I was to only have had good experiences with it.

    My best friend had drug induced psychosis, from doing caps and weed together (he also thinks it helped catalyze his psychosis from lots of his shroom trips). He was pretty similar to Conner in some ways, he thought he was God. He messaged me on discord one day saying he was smarter than elon and einstein and that he could get both of us a lambo. I was really confused because I had no clue what was happening, I couldn't tell if he was joking. He was taken to a psych ward not long after when he went up to police officers to get arrested because he thought he could get out of jail or something. When he was being temporarily held in a police cell he jumped around it thinking that it was a game and by doing it he would solve it. Luckily he recovered at the psych ward and is back to normal doing cybersecurity in university where he met his girlfriend.

    It's scary how this is something that can happen to anyone. Even though I was so easygoing, laid back, and was always so eager to experience new things and live life, I was in a rough spot back in 2020 and eventually I just started to have panic attacks out of nowhere. The slightest of things freaked me out, and it got my head racing from uneasiness, uncertainty, and fear. The rest of the year was just me essentially reassuring myself that things were going to be okay, and that life is as good as its always been. I've been a lot better since then, but truly I've never been the same since then. I hesitate a lot, and get really nervous and restless every once in a while when a bad thought appears in my head. Even so, everything's a learning experience, and I hope to use them to become something better, and reach a point where I am comfortable again. I like to think everything happens for a reason, and that whatever snapped inside me 2 years ago will be what makes me find my best self someday.

    • @aronianspigonian8589
      @aronianspigonian8589 2 года назад +8

      That exact same thing happened to me around the same time. My panic attacks began when I took lsd, though. I went to therapy for a couple months for weekly sessions and that honestly changed my life and made it better than before my panic attacks began. I just needed to speak to another person and hear that they understood. I also needed goals so they literally gave me homework and “assigned books” to read lol. It sounds ridiculous-who would want homework-but I felt like I was alone and had no direction in life. I never stopped actively reading since then and I began reading textbooks for fun. Now I’m apparently just a human sponge for knowledge and it gives me so much fulfillment and joy every day just thinking about learning new stuff. I still get close or have a panic attack every once in a while, but my coping mechanisms work really well after defining and practicing them in and out of therapy. One coping mechanism is reminding myself what I enjoy outside of the current dread I feel during the intense anxiety and panic. I used to just get depressed and tired from panic attacks because they would exhaust me and remind me I didn’t have any goals in life. Now they still exhaust me BUT they are much more easily manageable AND they remind me of what’s important in life. They humble me now. In a way, they have gone from being the bane of my existence, to strengthening my existence as (an apparently, so-far unavoidable) tool to be used. Anyways, you didn’t ask, but I always wondered if someone was going through what I was at the time it all began. Seeing your comment showed me proof that there were people like that. I hope you’re doing really well today. Best wishes

    It's really unfortunate, but yeah, psychedelics can kind of melt your brain if you're susceptible. It is really hard to guarantee that you aren't predisposed, and it could happen to anyone, especially people with preexisting mental health issues or trauma. It took two years for me to get out of what I called the fog & I did a variety of psychedelics. The fog affects all aspects of life and is kind of like your brain stumbling around having to take different routes to get to its destination. It essentially rewires itself through any pathway it can because it's been damaged and the severity varies. If you or someone you know is experiencing this, you can indeed improve the health of the person's brain. The more severe, the harder it is, and it's only the really really bad cases of complete loss of self and general awareness that are mostly a one-way ticket. It takes sobriety, patience, and the will to fight! You must progress, change, and not fight against it, but for it instead. Be humble and accept help because you will need it and it will build stronger bonds than you could possibly imagine. Learn why you do the things you do and why you feel the way you do about something. Sidenote Who gives a fuck about an Oxford comma?

    PSA: Regarding psychedelics, they can be extremely dangerous.
    First is if you have any family history of mental illness regarding perception of reality (schizo).
    The other is the substance. Lsd and mushrooms (lysegamides/tryptamines) are very difficult to OD on (far more so than alcohol), however there are other psychs that can be physically toxic, particularly phenethylamines like mescaline or NBOMe.
    The last danger is source, Lsd is occasionally replaced with NBOMe which can be very dangerous and has killed people. This is one of the biggest issues. There's reagents to test various properties of a chemical and this is a MUST if you choose to travel to the land of twirls and waves.
    Granted there are ways to be much safer and consume unless you're genetically predisposed, then don't touch this stuff or even weed for that matter.
    Also, k2 is not nearly comparable to any of these. I'd never touch that stuff and I've touched a lot of stuff.

Be careful out there, psychedelic's can and will change how your mind works. Usually in a good or non intrusive way, but often enough your psyche can be exposed to thoughts and ways of thinking that you simply hadn't conceived before and it can really mess with your subconscious. There is a very good reason why we forget most of our dreams the next morning.

    Something similar happened to me years ago, but fortunately, the aggressive part only lasted for a month. Someone spiked my drink with LSD or bath salts and I went through what the doctor called a "drug-induced agitated delirium". What's wild is I remember having periods of overconfidence and obsessive thought patterns like Connor was, even about the enlightenment thing, but I also went through a lot of fear too, like hearing voices and thinking I was dead or that my family was going to die.
    X is right about psychedelics being capable of driving people mental. I'm not certain of exactly what my drink was spiked with, but the doctor who saw me at my worst said according to my labs and behavior, he thought it was likely a large dose of LSD.

      To be fair those things do not apply much to psychedelics. Because of tolerance you can't really get addicted in the same way as other drugs and they are the only type of "recreational" drugs that can make you actually change your life for the better, while other drugs can - at best - only help you keep functioning.
      What X said about rewiring you is definitely true, but that is exactly why you would take a psychedelic, not sure how you could use that as an argument against them. In fact, therapy using psychedelics seems to be the only hope for treating chronic alcholol and opiate addiction. Of course therapy and recreational use is different, but demonizing an insanely useful tool such as psychedelics (pun intended) is kind of lame.

    • @NeezMyDew
      @NeezMyDew 2 года назад +4

      @@terryriley6410 You're the exact type of person X was warning about. You can totatlly you get addicted, its rare but we literally have Connor Murphy as a prime example. Takes a week for tolerance to reset after tripping on shrooms or lsd. Other psychs are not the same case. After tripping on psychs, many people get an afterglow where they feel more zen or connected to the world (unless they have a bad trip). This can last days, months, sometimes years for people. Afterwards they may feel uncomfortable and disconnected from reality, not always but increased tripping or more intense trips does correlate to higher chances of developing Depersonalization, Derealization, or Dissociative disorder.
      People like Connor get lost in the enlightenment sauce or maybe just too attached to the anxiety reducing effects, where they need to constantly be on psych's so they can be on the level of mental or spiritual openness they feel like they need to be. People used to always ask Connor why he kept needing to be on Ayahuasca if he already found enlightenment and he never had answer. I believe this was the reason he felt the need to do it every 2 hours

      @@NeezMyDew The cases you talk about obviously need mental help with or without these drugs. Psychedelics just make it very apparent if your mind isn't at the right place, that is their strength not their disadvantage.
      No wonder substance abuse and mental problems correlate. I never said you can't abuse psychedelics, you can abuse anything and sure, people can get addicted to anything, that doesn't mean we have to label every single thing as "addictive".
      I feel like you are doing the strawman here, starting from labeling me as "the exact type of person" going on to debate the imaginary claims and stances of said person.
      Statistically speaking psychedelics are the safest drugs anyone can take, you can bring up fringe examples of some narcissistic youtube rich guy, but the psychedelics did the exact thing they should've with him. He stopped making shit content that makes people have bad self-esteem and pursue useless things like showing your abs to randos and thinking your abs can define you as a person. That done, he still need to complete his transformation on his own, psychedelics won't do everything for you. As it is often said "don't mistake the finger pointing at the moon for the moon".

      @NeezMyDew 2 года назад

      @@terryriley6410 I'm not demonizing them, just stating the problems with them. I believe they should be used medicinally and recreationally, but with great caution.
      And ya in someways the psychedelic use helped Connor, like how he stopped making that cringe prank content. But would you believe after being off psychedelics for a while he's now back to making the same cringe prank content? Also Connor stated before he used Shrooms/LSD back in the original prank days, and it was trying Ayahuasca years later that turned him into an 24/7 online schizoposter.
      Pretty sad for you to just dismiss his journey as a case of mental illness. If you actually looked deeper into his case besides just this video, then you would know Connor was playing up his craziness for the camera. He was actually taking large amounts of Ayahuasca multiple times a day, but he was still relatively normal. His friends couldn't just call the cops or mental health professionals to get him help since he could easily just appear normal and say he's sober.
      Again he didn't have schizophrenia or something else that was triggered by taking psychedelics. It was more like a constant state of mania caused by overusing Ayahuasca. Which probably started because he was caught up in the delusions of grandeur type of stuff that comes along with all the "Enlightenment" effects caused by psychedelics. Also this isn't a fringe case, pretty normal for people to end up like this for periods of time after heavy tryptamine usage

    That part where xqc was talking about his friend spontaneously ending his chain smoking actually happened very similarly to me after taking psychs. I do not suggest psychs though. They were fun and hype when I started using them, but after a few go’s I developed extreme anxiety and had panic attacks every day for weeks when I had never dealt with any of that for my entire life. I ended up getting some therapy for a couple of months and I’ve fully recovered, but it has definitely shown me a dark side to psychs. I didn’t even have it that bad. XQC hit the mark perfectly when it comes to the dangers of psychedelic's. The hidden doors X talks about are potential hereditary disorders that pass down, but have never been "opened" for an individual. For example, someone with the gene of depression could have that gene unlocked through a psych trip. That's the danger behind psyche's, most people don't even know their family's genetic history

      I mean not to shit on the comment (which by the way very well written) or something but im pretty sure there is no 'gene' for depression. It cannot be inherited from your parents. Depression happens when a neurotransmitter called nonadrenaline (i.e a chemical messenger) deteriorates much faster than it normally should. As a result the signal sending activity becomes low and the person starts feeling depressed. You can effectively reduce the symptoms of depression by using a chemical which prevents the breakdown of nonadrenaline or which prevents the production of enzyme that deteroriates nonadrenaline.

    The psychcedelic thing he's talking about is true. A big dose of a psychcedelic like shrooms can cure addictions, depression, anxienty, etc. It's not for everyone though, if your family has a history of mental illness, don't do psychedelics, it could be what triggers schizophrenia or psychosis if your family is prone do those disorders. For me personally, it cured most of my social anxiety, and gave me the motivation to start going to the gym and focus on getting my life more together. This is just a possibility with psychedelics. The thing with psychedelics is, it puts you into sort of a psychosis(which is what the high is). When you come down, its possible some neurotransmitters that were opened from the psychedelic dont go back to normal once you sober up.
    You dont need a family history, you dont need a genetic disposition. Its totally possible for normal people without family history to develop the disorder from normal doses.
    Its not perfect. There is no "right or wrong" way to take psychedelics.
    You just take them, and for some people, even those who do it often can later on develop the symptoms of schizophrenia.
    I took acid like 6 times, but the last time made me extremely paranoid for 2 years. I never went back and im lucky i went back to normal eventually.

    • @janvandaalen4993
      @janvandaalen4993 2 года назад +1

      This is really fucking wrong.
      Describing the high of psychedelics as "sort of psychosis" is bullshit. Hallucinations (can) occur in both a psychotic episode and a psychedelic high, yes, but saying it's alike because of those then sleep paralysis or simply being very tired is "sort of psychosis" to you too.
      What you said about predeposition and right or wrong way to take them is also very wrong. There are a LOT of dangerous factors you HAVE TO consider when taking drugs. A lack of education and responsibility around drugs is exactly why these kinds of things happen to people who don't have a family history with mentall illness.
      Studies suggest that the drugs don't necessarily cause psychosis but uncover the genetic disposition, schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, or the family history.
      One thing you might not have considered is that for example smoking weed from a young age onward puts you in the risk group for this to happen, same goes for even having a single bad reaction to weed before.
      Alcohol or drugs alone are never the single cause of becoming psychotic, this is FACT.
      tl;dr
      - Being high is NOT "sort of psychosis"
      - There are MANY wrong ways to take drugs, and there is countless literature on harm reduction.
      - You either have genetic deposition, an unknown family history, smoked weed from a young age, combined drugs, was missing a lot of sleep, experienced trauma, took a different substance, took too high of a dose, took the substance too often, had a medicine reaction, or had other factors influence it.
      - Your personal experience is not developing schizophrenia after taking "acid".

      @@janvandaalen4993 i disagree. "Psychosis is a condition that affects the way your brain processes information. It causes you to lose touch with reality. You might see, hear, or believe things that aren't real. Psychosis is a symptom, not an illness."
      No, psychedelics are not perfect, even without genetic disposition, you can still have negative long term effects.
      Im wondering what is a wrong way with acid? Do you take the tab sideways? Chew it for too long?
      With shrooms to you inject them rather than drinking a tea or eat them? That would be one wrong way of taking them.
      Im wondering exactly what a wrong way of consuming these substances is, other than obvious no brainers?

      Obviously if you take other meds, you shouldnt be taking any drugs.
      But thats not really what im saying.
      If you are making the decision to take acid, taking acid in a high or low dose isnt doing it wrong.
      Taking shrooms in a high or low dose isnt doing it wrong.
      If you are taking the substance orally like you should, there isnt a "wrong way to take it"
      Harm reduction by doing research doesnt equal no harm, hence thw word reduction.
      Theres too much bs going on with these drugs by people thinking that its all feathers and rainbows.
      Every single individual, even those who take every single precaution possible, can still get fucked up by these substances. Its a genuine risk you are taking when you go into it.

    When I heard "every 2 hours".... What the actual f-
    That's basically taking something even stronger than DMT, 10 times a day, even if it may only be in small doses, and I doubt he was getting much sleep either.

    psychedelics cause psychosis in humans all the time. It happened to my friend, and it took him a year to kinda come back to his normal self, and to this day is still not the same.

    Whaaaaat. I remember watching this dude years ago. Had no idea this happened. I went too far with LSD over the course of a year and reality got very strange. I can 100% see where he's coming from. I was certain most people were "robots," or "not-awakened" as he would put it. It took me like 2 years to come back down to earth. Some of my friends just kept going and now they're incredibly dull and boring/stupid - just repeating the same existential certainties they've created in their minds. Some developed schizophrenia at a young age. Really sad stuff. I just stick to mushrooms maybe twice a year for mental clarity and cleansing. Too much of anything is a bad thing. Glad he seems to be doing better.

      Hes been good for a few months now supposedly hes off the drugs and back to working out, as he used his body as a way to overcome social anxiety and when he got bullied for it he leaned on drugs to break the anxiety and this all happened
