Everything looks beautiful! Ahh, the tinsel... memories of walking by our tree as a child and finding tinsel attached to us because of static electricity. My mother was the ONLY one who could put tinsel on the tree. I wasn’t a fan of it back in the day...but love how it looks on your trees. Your whole living room is just lovely. Minimal. The way I like my home. Thank you for the tour.
Beautifully done Sarah! The vignette on/over the piano is stunning. You've made me appreciate white walls, which I always associated with being cold or sterile. Your home looks warm and inviting! Thank you for sharing! 🎄❤
We love tinsel! Target tinsel is very vintage looking and it's my favorite! (The only thing I don't like is cleaning it off the artificial trees ... we keep a real tree outside, but all of our interior trees are artificial - and it's a bit of a pain taking it off, but it sure is pretty!) Loving these videos ... I'm currently recovering from an illness and have been in bed for two weeks so these are such a nice treat! Thank you!
Lovely decorated room. Rustoleum Heirloom White is my fav as well! I also painted an older plastic nativity scene with the same spray paint. I love the idea of putting the nativity in a tray. I might have to change mine! Wishing you a wonderful, Christ centered Christmas!
Loved this. I use all my Mercury glass from all over my house and an old house toy from the 1920S on my mantle. I can’t reach my ornaments and trees this year so I just moved things around. And found winter scenes and frames on Marketplace and moved around art.
I love what you have done for Christmas! I use a lot of second hand items as well. I'm a vendor at a vintage shop and its great outlet to use items for awhile and then be able sell them in the booth and try something else.
Oh Sarah your home looks so lovely and fun. I love the vintage touches and the way you sprinkle your own fairy love dust (aka glitter) in just the right places. Your Grandfather's sheet music banner is so special. I want to try that next year. Merry Christmas!!
Love it! You are one of my favorites decorators! I decorate similarly, I have a 1909 Edwardian home in Minnesota. I have a collection of antique bottlebrush trees and vintage kitsch 1940’s cotton spun ornaments that I collect and love! Merry Christmas! 🎄
Really lovely - restful and peaceful, which I think we are craving greatly this season! I'm adding a nativity to paint to my thrifting list now! Thanks for the inspiration!
When I was a child, my Mom always had tinsel on the Christmas tree. She placed it on the tree one strand at a time and always removed it at the end of the season to save it for the next year. Very time consuming but always beautiful.
Growing up in the 40' thru 50's and on into marriage early 60's the tinsel was different, and was partly metallic and crinkled sort of. We put one piece on at a time and it stayed where you put it. It was great. We would drape up to 5 or 6 pieces or more in the eventual shape of an ice cicle. It took a lot of time, but we weren't in a hurry then
I haven't used tinsel for years. But when we had a real tree I would use it because we would throw it out . That stuff is hard to ger out. We had to as a kid. put small pieces on the tree. when Mom wasn't looking we would throw some on . I took your idea last year with the old music pages and cut them like you did and stung them across the piano. Friends were impressed. So there you go.!! I have everything brought down from the basement. Now exhausted. So I will decorate tomorrow. You look so cute in that fur jacket. next time Joyce
❤️❤️❤️ your style!! Your home is so beautifully decorated, not only for Christmas, but all through the year. You're videos are always so calming and relaxing. Merry Christmas from Canada! 🎄🇨🇦
I enjoyed your vintage Christmas decor video. It looks beautiful. I like mostly you outfit you wore. It was so lovely and match the video. Christmas blessings to you and yours.
Sarah, your room is beautiful. Do you have a tutorial on the music sheet garland? I have an old hymnal from church that I would like to use. I was more curious about the spacing and size of the elements. 💝
Ok I had to pause your video when you talked about putting your Nativity scene in a tray. I instantly thought of this sterling silver tray in my jelly cabinet that I have never used. I pulled it out put my Nativity in and added some status ( I don’t have any hay). It looks great. Thank you for the inspiration. Merry Christmas 🎄
Always enjoy your videos Sarah. White chenille bedspreads are now on my thrifting list! Love all the pillows, really nice living room, great idea with the nativity set, why didn't I think of that :) Also, getting out a vintage mason jar (one with the wire) and popping some candy canes in that today. Take care
Everything looks wonderful! You always amaze me how stunning your home is on a budget - proof that beauty doesn't have to have a big price tag. You always look lovely too - that sweater is perfect on you! Happy holidays to you & yours. Thanks for the videos.
Everything looks beautiful! Love your wreaths with the animals! I will definitely look for those at my next thrift store visit. Your decorating style is very inspirational too!
I am stealing that hoop wreath idea :) I grew up in the 60's and the way you put on tinsel according to my mother was to take a strand or two and blow it onto the tree. Just another way to do it, we were not allowed to glob it onto the tree, lol.
Absolutely gorgeous!!! I never knew about the tinsel tip on how to apply it.. I may change my mind about tinsel because yours looks so beautiful on your tree. Love all the sweet sentimentality in your wreaths, Christmas banners w the sheet music, I'm definitely going to try crafting the merry Christmas one ... Your crafts seem so simple which is awesome for me as I seem to get easily overwhelmed.. thanks for sharing your beautiful decor. I too do simple vignettes scattered throughout our home, more of a whisper of merrymaking. Easy to put up, easy takedown. Merry Christmas.🎄😍
Just wondering what the background music was- it was just so beautiful. And I loved loved the hoop wreaths. I usually love looking at natural faces I need tivity pieces, but this was very appealing. I liked that cream color a lot. I had an old French book from high school that had French music printed in it. I cut a few pages out of it and rolled them and tied them with ribbon and they look really pretty talked into the tree
Great idea for the hoops Loved tinker bell book (I unfortunately cannot have vintage books out as my dog loves to attack them) Also I do enjoy how you break up home tour into separate videos
This room looks very peaceful and calming. May I ask where you found the house that is on your coffee table? I have been looking for one everywhere. I want to put it under a cloche. Unfortunately, where I live there really isn't many places to thrift. Our GoodWill is mediocre and that's all we really have right now. I'm on the hunt also for a soup tureen and noticed in your dining room tour you had a couple of them. Again, if you could share I'd appreciate it. I know Etsy has some but many have hairline cracks which makes me a little nervous when they are being shipped from France and Belgium.
Oops hit it at the wrong time. I was trying to say that we always had the tinsel on our Christmas tree, along with colored lights and colored bubble lifts. Wit more decorations. So pretty and child like🙂. My favorite time 😌🎄🎄🎄
I love the white paint color on your walls. Would you share the brand/color? I love white but it can be a hard color to choose as it can be cold or harsh and not lovely like yours. New to your channel and so glad I found it. Merry Christmas!
You would be surprised how many people do know how to put on tinsel I know how I grew up with it i am 54 years old and I don't have a problem with it at all the younger generation probably does not know but the outer ones do
Everything looks beautiful, but watch out with the tinsel with your cats and I think you have a dog, too, right?? Can cause serious problems and can be deadly if ingested causing a blockage. Please Google it.
Hm. I've heard of people not being able to click the notification bell, but not that they couldn't subscribe! Usually un-subscribing and re-subscribing fixes the problem with the bell! Let me know if you're still having issues!

When I was a child we used tinsel all the time and we put on 1 strand at a time. Very trying for a child, but always so beautiful when done.
A tip: you can watch series on flixzone. I've been using it for watching loads of movies these days.
@Ali Harper Yup, been using Flixzone for since december myself =)
@Ali Harper Yea, been watching on flixzone for years myself =)
Beautiful!

You always inspire me, my friend! Such a beautiful home!
Love your channel and that you are not using Dollar Tree to decorate. Your style is refined and subtle, lovely - thank you for your inspiration.xx
Interesting take on using things that are generally not used by those who decorate farmhouse style, like the tinsel and glittery stars. I liked it.
Very charming. I love how sentimental you are ❤️
Very fun and cozy look, creative too. Like the bifold doors and the hoop wreaths especially. Merry Christmas and blessings.
So sweet and peaceful! Delish!
Love how unique your decor is. Inspires creativity. Great channel.
Everything is always so beautiful. You have the magic touch!
Love it! You are one of my favorites decorators! I decorate similarly, I have a 1909 Edwardian home in Minnesota. I have a collection of antique bottlebrush trees and vintage kitsch 1940’s cotton spun ornaments that I collect and love! Merry Christmas! 🎄
I would love your house!!

Very pretty! I use to use tinsel then went to raffia and then to ribbons. Love how you can change a tree just with these final touches!!!!!
Your home is so warm & festive! Thank you for sharing your creative ideas!
Just absolutely lovely....no need to say more. Felicity
Just beautiful Sarah! Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas!

Beautiful trees !!!!!!! Merry Christmas !!!!!!!
Everything is so beautiful, as is your music 🎄🤗💕

Love the Pom Pom and the music pages garlands! I’m going out thrifting today and will be thinking of some of these ideas!
Another great video-everything is so pretty.
Deanna I still use tensile but it’s clear for my white/silver tree beautiful!
Your home is very beautiful, thanks for sharing it with us!💖

Perfect!
Those Pom poms used to be called ball fringe. They were really popular on white colonial style curtains in the 60s when I was a teenager.
Love your Christmas decor! Absolutely beautiful! ❤️
I use gold tinsel . My grandsons say it looks magical so of course It has become a tradition now
Absolutely beautiful 🎄🎄
I love everything you have done.
Your home is so beautiful.
Such a beautifully decorated living room!!

I'm so glad, Suzan! Thank you for the sweet comment!

I mix in a little real greenery with the fake. Really brings it to life and you get the smell as an added bonus.
Everything looks beautiful! Love your wreaths with the animals! I will definitely look for those at my next thrift store visit.
Your decorating style is very inspirational too!
I love love love the music sheet garland! ✨💖

The music is from Epidemic, their Christmas music is really good.
The song itself is called “What Child is This” by Johannesburg Bornlof
Love the two trees 🎄🎄!
Great idea for the hoops
Loved tinker bell book (I unfortunately cannot have vintage books out as my dog loves to attack them)
Also I do enjoy how you break up home tour into separate videos

I keep looking at your painted piano and my unpainted piano and I think, when I get the courage, mine will be painted too. ☮️❤️☕️-Kirsten
Go for it!
Gorgeous! Can you do a tutorial on how you made the candy cane holder into glass?
I did a tutorial last year over on Facebook!
business.facebook.com/watch/live/?v=970425373148556&ref=watch_permalink
Beautiful!! Where did you get the big house in front of the Christmas trees?
I linked it for you, it’s a kit from Amazon
I have a love/hate relationship with tinsel.. I liked draping it on the tree, but my brothers enjoyed draping it on me😆 So annoying!
Hi Faye!
The walls are Benjamin Moore - Simply White!
Could you laminate the sheet music garland?
Sure!
You would be surprised how many people do know how to put on tinsel I know how I grew up with it i am 54 years old and I don't have a problem with it at all the younger generation probably does not know but the outer ones do
Would you mind saying where you purchased the galvanized metal house on top of the piano. Thanks!
I got them at Kohl’s!
What color is your piano-so beautiful!
It's a mix of two milk paint colors! I share the specifics here: sheholdsdearly.com/painting-a-piano-with-milk-paint/
It’s very pretty. I think the pronunciation is chenille not chanel😉. I enjoy watching you, and get inspiration from what you do. Thanks.
I think you are right!😂
We always called those icicles.
The hoops look so good against that background, cozy atmosphere in your living room
Uh oh! Good to know!
💙💙💙💙💙
❤️
Be careful using tinsel with pets. Cats play with it, eat some, and end up with strangulated intestines.
No more farm house
If you showed more of your work while you’re talking it would be easier to understand what you’re talking about!
You might prefer the written version with still pictures! :) sheholdsdearly.com/living-room-christmas-tour/
Everything looks beautiful, but watch out with the tinsel with your cats and I think you have a dog, too, right?? Can cause serious problems and can be deadly if ingested causing a blockage. Please Google it.
I love her style, but it won’t let me subscribe...it has a line through it
Hm. I've heard of people not being able to click the notification bell, but not that they couldn't subscribe! Usually un-subscribing and re-subscribing fixes the problem with the bell! Let me know if you're still having issues!
