Thanks. We still get on each others nerves 🤣 when I was I kid, I didn’t like working on cars with him, because it was a necessity, and he got intense😉. But now it’s on my terms😎
Slowly but surely you’ll get it Funky. Just keep at it brother. Richard is going to have to get his own channel soon! I’m definitely jealous you get to work with your Dad.
Kinda always wanted one of these fancy drippers but you could have tuned a fuel mileage 600 vacuum secondary, a street 800 double pumper and a race 1050 dominator with the time you got invested, hope you get it sorted.
I just went through all this putting an msd atomic 2 (sniper) on mine. You're definitely having some sort of timing issues. I set mine up with an msd box and an 8582 distributor and completely set the efi to no timing control. then got it close enough to fire and set the timing to 15 with my timing light and all is working well so far. I saw the option to mess with the fuel primes with mine as well but I think that's taking you the wrong direction. Mine is also set at 150/50 from factory and I think it may even be a little too much as my whole garage fumes up when I fire it up.
Mine ran fine without the 02 sensor I obviously put it on but only thing I had to do put everything in the wizard and it started right up and ran around the block but I was chasing a problem with it ran fine at idle really good throttle response but once I put in gear and started to move it would just shut off I went over everything thinking it was a problem with my ecu but no it was my bs cheap fuel pump I had put a aem and it ran perfect still is drivin over 2hrs with it about to put a tune for the supercharger timing at 15° advance to 36° soon as I hit the gas fuel pressure 55 and put in stock cam 302 Afr set at 14.0 idle and cruise 12.5 wot couldn’t really think of anything but fuel im not an Expert tho lol I do have a spacer also
Is your main power for the killshot hooked directly to the battery post? If it isn’t it can cause all sorts of issues. The battery’s capacitance absorbs the voltage spikes, otherwise you’ll fry your ecu.
Yeah, no way I would get a sniper. I think this is a better system, but… like anything new there will be kinks to work out. From what I’ve learned tuning my own stuff alittle bit of idle RPM and fuel at idle make a huge difference. For me, it’s either this system or I’m just getting a carb.
did you unlock your timing in the handheld once you set the timing with the timing light? your timing should be bouncing are a few degrees with that cam.
@@funkystangs2843 …so did you ever figure it out….i have a roller cam 5.0 in a ‘67 mustang with the same setup….i just havent installed the coil or distrubutor yet….im running a hei and not very good with distrubutors….mainly cause im a LS guy and my harmonic balancers number markings are pretty much non existent…..did you look on you tube for install videos addressing the distributor 15* ordeal??? …i installed and tuned mine via the wizards prompts and it works great
Look up “driving foward builds” he has a video where he is installing the same systems on an old ‘64 fairlane…he is very informitive on the distrubutor install on video 3 of the fairlane series…check it out, his videos came in very useful for me when i had to update my firmware…….best of luck to you my friend , once you get it dialed in your gonna love it, are you running roller rockers? Is that why its making that sound??
@@trentdawg2832 I watched it. Action Vulture is another good one. He works for Aces. I locked the distributor out! THEIR DIRECTIONS ARE NOT COMPLETE! I talked to the tech. He was telling stuff that isn’t in the manual that should be. You’re telling me to do something that I literally did in this video.🤣 Also I tell you in this video what the sound is from.
Wow definitely a nail bitter & some adult words !!! But I got a question the rotella oil are you using it just for start up & break in or do you run it all the time I run it in my rig but run castrol in my fox but I've heard things about castrol but love rotella I don't know if you can run all the time tho I've got probably a motor that could use a rebuild just looking a better oil for now & an oil I can run regardless of the motor life
I used to use Valvaline. Then the Windsor Wizard I know, told me to use it. I like it. It’s done good by me. I seem to convert people over to it. A LOT OF PEOPLE🤣🤣 Ford Blue Gage’s fault
Excited your getting it together ...it's cool you get to learn along with the system
Yeah it’s a process. Good to learn the whole thing
i think its awsome brother that you and your dad are sharing the good times of tunning and working on the fox, i shore do miss my old man.
Thanks. We still get on each others nerves 🤣 when I was I kid, I didn’t like working on cars with him, because it was a necessity, and he got intense😉. But now it’s on my terms😎
You’ll get it man. You’re smarter than most. Thanks for the video!
Hopefully almost there

I just got some good info, hopefully solves the problem. Thanks
Get'r Done! That rocker sounds like the old slant 6 solid lifter 😁
Yeah another thing on the list
I use aeromotive guage with the brass relief to set after it warms up to get actual temp
It’s holding. There’s more adjustability with the Aeromotive, and with the eBay regulator

If the manual didn’t leave information out of it. Hopefully what I just learned from the tech works. It’s not in the manual. So that’s hood

Yeah I got some clear info from them. I put those tables back. Manual is missing some info for people like me who’s never locked timing out before.

I can only imagine how aggravated you are with the car. I'm hoping for the best outcome for you Funky.
Yeah, it’s just something simple.
It lives!!! Ya Buddy!
For now
The path is the fun part
Literally going through the same thing right except Im doing it on a Datsun
Check out my new video. I figured it out.
you'll get it!
I found out yesterday when I talked it the tech. It’s the lack of complete directions. He’s telling stuff that should be in the manual.
I’m thinking with the way it’s popping back through the intake that the timing is out of wack. Now I’m curious on this
Missing directions

Good design, made well, good price
did you unlock your timing in the handheld once you set the timing with the timing light? your timing should be bouncing are a few degrees with that cam.
Exactly. I’ve never done this before. Weren’t step by step clear, and kinda trailed off directions.
Lock it…as in locking out the advance on the distrubutor…you gotta pull the roll pin out of the slip collar and reset the rotor staft 180*
I did that

Damn so close

My Dude I can hear something nocking I would fix that first because the computer might think damage is being done so its shutting down.
I explain in the video what it is. It’s a rocker tapping the cover. I evidently missed a spot I needed to grind.
