Everyone agrees D.O.’s voice is made for R&B. Even if I love his albums and choice of genre, I’m still salty we don’t have R&B album. It feels like wasted talent
This song is proof that Kyungsoo is made for R&B tracks and once again confirmed his place as the king of runs. Yoo Youngjin was his (and many others of SM) vocal trainer. He also produced and wrote many songs of SM artists (HOT, BOA, Super Junior, SHINee, TVXQ), of EXO he did both MAMA and History! Sadly he left SM last year and it's not known if he's still working with Kyungsoo. I'd definitely recommend the live versions of this song. There is one where D.O. sings it in a solo performance and then there's a live performance at MAMA 2014 where he performs it with Baekhun and Chen, with the rest of the exo members as backup dancers. Hearing the vocal trinity go off in this song is honestly insane! Especially knowing they were still rookies at the time!
I'm hoping that with both Yoo Youngjin and Kyungsoo out of SM now, they'll be able to collaborate again. He worked with CBX too so who knows, maybe Baekhyun will bring him on! Chen also has a song with one of their vocal coaches, Onestar! May We Bye, I _highly_ recommend it especially for a Chen bias like you ^^

Yoo Young-Jin SM Station, Cure with Taeyong of NCT 127. Luther Vandross is a good comparison, he is from that era, but Cure with Taeyong has 80s rock ballad vibes, if 80s rock ballads had rap verses.
