I love listening to the clock chimes of York Minster and one thing is: I live in Devon but I'm from York as I was born in York hospital in 2002. I should've subscribed before but I do like the video
The York Minster actually has two clocks. At 1:40 you can hear the other clock chiming
For those who don’t know how it looks, here’s a link to a video ruclips.net/video/4zniiPvotcc/видео.html
Where’s the clock that plays the York minster chime
@@ironviper2573 I’m so glad you didn’t Rickroll us there.
@@Introvert708 Good idea………
Sounds like Big Ben without the crack in the bell.
Is it the hour bell or the quarter bells

1:47 the chimes
I didnt know Great Peter had a hammer until now
Lol
You learn new things everyday.
So the bells are real, and it's controlled by a digital clock, WOW!!!!
That is a wild Bella here
Only a little battered looking box with the striking gear for the hammer on a 10 ton bell…
So that’s how Great Peter is chimed.
Why are they calling for urgent assistance right before the hour strike? Was there some kind of emergency happening?
1:47
Im suprised that the minister does not have a clock mechinisum
Great Peter is the bourdon bell that weighs 13, 000kg.
Apollo 2 is the one making the bell chimes oh
It connects from a electric panel so for the quarter bells a number connects to a bell hammer so when one of it lights up the hammer that it connects to triggers the bell to be hit and how great Peter works is so after the full chime the box applys power to the rod that lifts Great Peter Bells Hammer And then the rod goes down hitting the bell.
what is that soft "ding dong" tube bell sound
This is the tubular bells that can be heard inside York Minster.
Known as bim bam chimes
I make sound that chime in piano
Waht is great peter number bell
Maybe 10
He hasn’t got one. He is in a separate bell tower to the change ringing peal. The other 6 bells of the clock chime were cast to match the back 6 bells of the clock chime
Maybe 0.
I think it's number 1 probably
