Aside from the dust, which is common in Ohio apparently, the racing the last 2 nights, and in several of the shows I got to see highlights for, the racing has been excellent.

As a NW Ohioan, there is absolutely no excuse for tracks to not have solved our dirt issues. This farm field clay has been an issue for 40+ years now. We have good clay, it's just deep down. No reason they couldn't cut the top 2 feet off and top it with good material. As a fan, there's nothing more frustrating than paying good money, and not being able to see the damn cars right in front of you. Go dig a deep damn hole, get the good material, back fill the hole with this trash.

@@dankdank9837 fun fact, they couldn't afford my company. How do you think I know now about the soil types?good clay will start to show up around the 8' mark. I do this type of work for a living. A operator, at least 3 trucks, excavator, you're looking between 5-6K a day. Now if im selling the clay as well, double that amount. Thats just getting the clay on site, not including getting rid of the old clay, the dozer to spread the new clay, site work and grading, and any labor hands. Im guessing that this would be a 2 week project with an expected cost around 100K. Or they could rent a machine, get clay on site, use existing labor hands and track equipment, and probably be sub 15K for the project. This could all take place after the season, and before the next season. If they'd like my help, I'd be more than happy to come give them a real quote.

@@Papi-yu9kl local tracks make 0 profit from TV viewership. They make money on concessions. If you only watch on TV, all local tracks will shut down and you will be left with nothing to watch from your comfy couch. You know more than I do obviously, maybe they could hire you for their marketing

Tracks have been listening to the drivers and teams way to much for way to long. Fans have no say in how tracks prep tracks today. I saw it first hand at Tulare Thunder Bowl in Tulare CA. That track used to be one of the best until one night the USAC National Sprinters came to town. Owner watered like he used to for the wing cars which started the night out pretty heavy. We were standing about 15 feet from the owner when the USAC officials and a couple drivers came over and went off on the owner - we don't race on tracks this wet and on and on. Result was the owner stopped cutting the top ever and cut back on overall watering. Now it's a dust bowl with little to nothing on the cushion at all. The bottom goes away early so the middle rubbers up and the nights over. Dry slick dust bowls is what the teams and drivers want, we don't matter one bit.

Amazing race, back and forth and back again battles. Yet people cry it’s dusty. 🤦‍♂️ Who TF cares when racing is this exciting? You prefer dustless single file parade races on a rubbered track? I swear dirt “fans” have to be the whiniest of all. Asphalt is for getting to the track, dirt is for racing- but don’t let dust get in my soy latte. Not every track has tens of thousands of dollars to truck in perfect red clay. They use what’s available and do the best they can to produce great racing. Don’t like it? Buy the speedway or donate the tens of thousands of dollars and spend your own money to truck in perfect red clay.

The part of race that I could actually see seemed exciting. Good racing down to the end. I can’t believe the racers can put on that great of a show in that sand storm. It’s incredible. That track has to be bone dry. Is it bad clay or lack of water?

You can water it all night long, it won't make a difference. It's farm field clay, it's trash. I left a comment explaining how to fix it but they won't do it
