- Do you want lush, high energy pastures? Then mob grazing is the answer! After a spring spent grazing large paddocks, the grass has gotten ahead of us, and we're starting to mob graze our Dexter cattle. In this video, I explain the benefits of mob grazing and how to set up mob grazing paddocks, and how mob cattle psychology works. I also discuss the pros & cons of other grazing methods, including whole-field, rotational, and strip grazing.

73yo and learned something new today, thankyou.
It now makes sense to me. There is a difference between mob grazing and rotational grazing. Think you are the first video I have seen that articulates that. 👍
Pete, I am a suburb dweller 25 miles east of Atlanta and just discovered your EXCELLENT channel. You are so knowledgeable and articulate, it is a pleasure spending 10-20 minutes with you!

I always learn from you. Today I learned why it is important to move the back fence when you are strip mob grazing.
You are absolutely right about the welder! I have had mine for years and have run 5, 10 pound spools with no problem. Love the videos and hope you keep up the great strides in the small farm world.
Dont you just love Sammy. There are always some who have a friendlier and placid temperament .
My Hobart 210 mvp and Lincoln dialarc portable stick welder are a godsend on are farm. Made a custom manure bucket with the Hobart the other day

Your presentation style is awesome! Great blend of well explained theory with the ever necessary practicality of experimenting, observing, adjusting and remaining flexible. Thanks so much.
