I’m going to be honest, when she said she heard “Wet, organic slapping sounds” in the middle of the night in a mostly abandoned library, I half expected a very different outcome.
Yep! Destroyed my mental health for nursing school. Guess who was too messed up to be a nurse once they graduated?? Now, 4 years after my graduation, I'm finally picking up the pieces and hoping to enter my career as a nurse.
I’m a couple of years late but in case you guys didn’t know, Psychosis and Asylum are both written by Matt Dymerski. These two stories are part of Matt’s multiverse of horror stories that I recommend everyone checks out. Starting with Portal In the Forest
I just now made that connection and came here to announce the same thing. I’ve listened to both story’s multiple times and only now after listening to them back to back, made the connection.
What I learned today is: Diets are evil. Don't touch bloody people. Sleep is important. Women are kinda terrifying. Don't take career advice from a junkie. Psychosis is extremely lonely.

@@nathanmartineau4913 Hi! Sadly I don't really remember what I was referring to here, but I'm just gonna take a wild guess from the word "obsessed"... Around that time and a bit before I was infatuated. I was in love with a guy, but that guy, which made matters worse, has an undiagnosed narcisstic personality disorder. And I am on the schizophrenic spectrum, now taking medication (I am much better now) but I used to be extremely delusional and tended to have violent bursts of paranoia. Long story short, I obsessed over him so badly that I borderline stalked him. He referred to himself as an old demon and I, delusional as I was, believed every word he said. It sounds crazy because it was. It didn't even end when he choked me one day, I was paralyzed in fear but a part of me still thought this was him expressing his love for me. It ended when somehow, he managed to make me dissociate into one of my alters called the Child. I don't really remember anything about that night, but it scared him appearantly, badly enough to finally make me leave. It took a lot of time and effort and friendship and therapy. But just a few days ago when he texted me again acting like nothing ever happened, I managed to tell him I was still hurt and scared, and I blocked his number. I'm not proud of what I've done back then, I can only hope I didn't break his mind. He surely did some damage to mine. That's my story.
MOTHsan that’s quite interesting I might say. I am happy that you were able to get help and better yourself now and you were able to block him from hurting you again. Not gonna lie now I’m more curious about you in general I have my fair share of fucked up mental shit but I like to research and learn about mental illnesses and having people to talk to about their problems is a drug to me almost an obsession smh but I also know you don’t know me but if you ever need to talk just ask for my snap or sum shit🙂🤷♂️ again I’m glad you’ve gotten better!
I love this so much. It really makes you think. I was wondering why the nerve fibres didn't infect everyone, if they remained inside the minds of the insane they could control them and make them sane again. But then I thought, what if insanity is what it wants. What if it lets them go because it's done with them. It pushes society so hard to be perfect that they snap. Which begs the question, is it the people with nerve fibres who are infected, or the ones without? It's insane how much I love this. I've listened to this 5 times now I think and you do an amazing job reading it.
I really like that the narrator's monologues have jazz music in the background. I'm sure that you did this on purpose but it reminds me of those old black and white detective movies. Nice😎
Being a bilateral amputee, when the story rolled around to the guy that "gave her everything" it hit a little too close to home. Even so, another amazing upload.

I absolutely LOVE the lo-fi music that plays during the narration between case files. Sitting here with my pitbull on my lap, eyes closed and leaning way back snacking on pita chips and sipping on cinnamon tea. At this current moment in time, Life. Is. Good.
Is this a sequel to “Psychosis?” Like the creepypasta? The guy that stabbed out his eyes with a pen and gets violent around electronics sounds like the protagonist of that story
this story made me quit listening to stories on your channel for a while, and I'm still afraid of finding a story like this one on your channel again. Third story makes me glad I live in a country where uni costs like $8000 first year free! Most expensive accomodation is $20000 but flatting is MUCH cheaper.

Ive listened to a 4 hour one before. The long ones are the good ones

how did this shit go from Twilight Zone to detective story to Outlast back to Twilight Zone? i mean, kudos to the writer, but damn.
If I had a dollar for every time the narrator states that he's convinced 'something more is going on'...
Lazy writing. It's almost as bad as "still haunts me to this day", which is the worst cliche is CreepyPastas.

Don't usually get creeped out I listen to these to lull me to sleep but these stories really are good creeped me out good job
Is this directly liked with Matt Dymerski’s “Psychosis” story because if so omg he connected them well, subtle but once you realise who that last patient is; what follows all makes sense
Third story makes me glad I live in a country where uni costs like $8000 first year free! Most expensive accomodation is $20000 but flatting is MUCH cheaper.
