Big applause to the engineers who developed all the safety equipment.
Yeah, it's incredible how such fragile looking cars can roll, fly, and skid, and the driver walking away.
that's actually *why* the driver can walk away, the cars are designed to crumble and deform to release the energy of the impact, so by the time they hit the wall most of the energy has been diverted. some really interesting tech there, making things that appear to be weaker but are in reality safer...
ugn669 there is a carbonfiber shell/cockpit that is VERY hard to puncture
not only the crumple zones but also the advances in on person safety, like the HANS device for holding your head on your shoulders instead of letting it jerk forward in crashes which was the cause of plenty of deaths in the past of motorsports and theres even the same type of thing for motorcycles which holds your helmet in place on your chest gear instead which keeps your from snapping your neck on impacts with the ground in a crash. this is just one of the things, but there are really plenty of safety features in racing that can save your life and keep injury to a minimum.

Do they have a special compartment in their cars for these guys and their huge balls? Much respect driving that fast zooming around corners and whatnot.
Imagine if they had ejector seats on F1 cars... it's an open cockpit; after shooting off a detachable front panel, there's not much obstruction with launching the driver straight up.
Much lower deaths, although the weight might slow them down a bit.
One small problem with that. Most aircraft have a minimum altitude for ejection to allow the parachute to open and stop the pilot smacking into the ground. This is usually in the region of 100+ feet (30+ metres). In fact in 2011 an RAF Red Arrows pilot was killed after his ejector seat went off whilst the plane was sat on the tarmac.
However, it must be said, F1 ejector seats would look cool as hell

Does anyone know why water comes out of the cars when they cash
Usually it's the result of a broken radiator. If you look at 4:40, the Porsche is leaking from the front-left hand corner, where a hose has been ripped away from the radiator in the crash (on a side note, Porsches are very susceptible to radiator damage in racing. Their radiators are right at the front and even minor con tact seems to break them)

Lots of fluids in a car, any care. Brake fluid, transmission fluid, windshield washer fluid, power steering fluid, antifreeze, etc. There's also in some of these, a cooler in the "passenger seat" for the driver to drink during the race.
Could have also been fuel..

I'm a bit surprised Geoffrey Bodine's NASCAR Truck crash wasn't included, but there are so many unbelievable crashes though.
