- In this Halloween vlog video, I'll show you how I decorated my brothers apartment for fall & Halloween this year and give a Halloween home tour of the finished look! I'll also show you a look at the space before any furniture was in it, & talk about a few things we did to personalize the space with temporary finishes! Starting with a Johanna Parker Halloween themed table, I'll show you how to create a spooky fun Halloween table display along with other other fun ways to decorate for Halloween! We actually didn't purchase much new decor to decorate his home with this year, but instead used fall & Halloween decorations that he has slowly accumulated over the years, making it a Halloween home full of memories of fun shopping trips & other nostalgic times!
(Though it is an interesting tree-house style building, I chose not to record the exterior of his place as it is part of an apartment complex & decided it best to only record his own private home interior for other's privacy.)

I love it! Your brother's apartments looks warm, cozy and not one bit crowded. His furniture flows together so nicely that I can't believe he has that much furniture! And as a fan of Johanna Parker myself I always love seeing you incorporate certain pieces (some that I have myself) here and there and making them look even more stunning then they already are. I had twins as friends growing up as did my mom. There's such a very special bond between twins that is different from that of siblings. His home is gorgeous, welcoming and practical. That ceramic ghost/pumpkin/tree/owl piece on Grammy's cabinet/hutch is the most beautiful decoration I've seen in a long while, I NEED to hunt one down for myself!! 🧡

Amazing how cute and cozy you two made that space. I live in a carriage house in San Diego, it’s smaller at 450 sq ft, but has a spiral stair to the loft area and a fenced in little Garden. I love to decorate for all the holidays and this by far was the most inspiring tutorial I have watched. I am able to apply your design techniques to my own house as it is a similar layout. Thank you for being a tremendous inspiration. ❤
Don't be ashamed. Every one who loves to decorate moves things around dozens of time. Til we get it right, or at least til we think it looks balanced. I never knew you had a twin. What a transformation!!!! From ordinary to extraordinary!!!! The moody colors, the furniture placement, the fireplace wall.... amazing! Shows what you can do with imagination and of course.... creative talent, which is priceless! How fun to have a twin to share so many interests. My best friend and I always buy something alike when we are out shopping, especially seasonal items. A candlestick, an ornament , a decor item. Its so fun to remember our outing together. What a cozy little nest! I love it.

You two did an excellent job with the layout of his home, as well as the Halloween decorations. I loved the witch pillow and the ghost mugs and teapot on the dining table. You might already do this, but I know when I am decorating the center of my dining table, I try to remember to not decorate one-sided, so the guests on the other side of the table don't just see the "back" of all my treasures on the table. But, if the table is just for show, then it doesn't matter.
I really like the furnishings. You made some amazing additions that I would never have thought of, like the fireplace. This entire place is a place to be proud of. The Halloween decorations are well done. Your talent shows through. I would love to have this space. Great job.

I've wanted to have an electric fireplace, but my (rented) walls are stucco, but I bet if I built a wall piece of plywood about 3-4" deep I could cover that with brick wallpaper and a rustic mantel 🤔

There are SO many design features and treasures to look at that I had to watch the video twice, slowing it down and pausing it on the second go-round. I was surprised at how many details I had missed with the first viewing. Everything is charming and inviting. I never knew you were a twin .. I’m a twin to my twin brother and I would do the same as you guys when shopping by the same thing . Or we would say we were buying it for each other ,and swap items when we got out side the store it had a special meaning . I lost my twin to a bowel obstruction in March . Halloween was always our holiday . I miss him so much !
