"Qʷidiččaʔa·tx̌", "The Makah People" (məˈkɑː/; Klallam: màq̓áʔa), are an Indigenous People of the Pacific Northwest Coast living in Washington, in the northwestern part of the continental United States. They are enrolled in the federally recognized Makah Indian Tribe, of the Makah Indian Reservation. Some of our family members come from Vancouver Island, since we are closely related to the Nuu-chah-nulth. The Makah Tribe has called the spectacular Neah Bay, Washington area home, since time immemorial. The name Makah was attributed to the Tribe by the neighbouring tribes, meaning: “People Generous With Food”, in the Salish language. The meaning still applies today, as we invite you to visit our community, to enjoy the natural beauty and learn about our culture and history. Until historic times, the Makah Tribe was composed of five principal winter villages. The prehistoric population of the Makah was estimated to be between approximately 2000-4000 people. Today, there are roughly 1500 Makah people living in and around Neah Bay. The five principal winter villages were located on the shores of the Pacific Ocean and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. These villages were composed of large cedar plank longhouses, which housed many members of an extended family.

I wanted to warn anyone contacting a person who is going by the name "Jaguar Bird", that "it is NOT me".. and if this person(s) is claiming to be me, I ask that you please contact the Administration personelle of that site.. and make them aware, that a fraud is being committed.
