A24 been tapping into combat movies, the fact this is simply called “Warfare” has me feeling it will be authentic
I’ve never heard of a former SEAL/operator splitting writing and directing movies. This will be great film and I hope Ray Mendoza continues to make war films that try to bring reality to the forefront.
I saw the premier of this last week, was absolutely incredible and well and worth the watch.
watched it on opening night tonight, i'd say it's pretty damn authentic. well worth the watch
@@liamregan4975 Platoon is also a great watch. Director/writer fought in Vietnam
Bro the military always gets last write to touch up any unsavoury bits why do you think they get all this equipment.
I want Warfare to win the Oscar Best Sound🔊🧨💣
It’s already got a nomination 😂
Meanwhile, Trump is ruining the country

Meanwhile, trump is clueless
@@Jake-d3b3eliving rent free in your head.....lol
Just got back from the theater and I couldn’t agree more.
Just saw this, This isn’t a movie it’s a memory and that sticks with me. This is men that experience the horror of war and it’s showing awareness of what war truly is
It's not really horror when America attacked an unequal third world nation with no air force though is is it? But if America ever grows a backbone and takes on Russia or China then we shall see but the world knows America hasn't got the guts to try!
Does it show that war is pointless? Or that people die for no reason?
Just saw this an absolute gut wrenching. Makes you feel like part of the team.
Where do you rank it among other war movies?
@@andyman2583one of the most realistic war movies ever
@@andyman2583 wasnt that great to be honest! more woke nonsense
I love how the trailer doesn’t give too much away that’s how it’s done!
lol give too much away? its about war you goofy// what else is there
they pretty much show the part where everything starts to fall
Saw this at an early screening last night and cannot stop thinking about it. Truly shook me to my core. Can't recommend it enough.
Does it have emotions? I will definitely go watch this, war movies always tell great stories. I loved the series SEAL Team, still watching the final season.
@ big time. I’m going to go see it again tomorrow.
@@blairthandi7058um it doesn't tell a 'story' really. Don't expect that. It's weird. It just shows these guys well let's face it, invaders, against a faceless bloodthirsty enemy and that's kinda it. I found myself drifting off thinking about other things honestly. I'm not a call of duty player so I need more than that.
Just saw this movie and am gonna go back. This has to be seen on IMAX
Me too ..the Theater was shacking and at the end me and my buddy felt like we went to a rollercoaster or something else!..i was hocked to..10/10
This is looking pretty badass, can’t wait to go see it
Oscar worthy. Very heavy, emotional and immersive movie.
A24 with great cinema never-ending story ❤
Son of a Nam vet, beyond f’d me up seeing this holy hell man…good on Mr. Mendoza for living to tell the tale. Wishing nothing but peace for all who served..
Absolutely immersive movie. 10/10
Excellent
the battle scenes were my favourite part of civil war anyways, and this looks like a whole movie of just that, i am sold
Yup and I bet Garland/Mendoza and the crew learn from their errors, this combat looks even more intense than what we saw in Civil War.
@@liamregan4975Civil War wasn't about the fighting.....

This movie did not miss and im grateful to have been alive to see this. One of the greatest war movies of this time.. up there with sone of the greatest. Worth multiple trips to the theater. I salute the Heros this is based off of and a salute to Alex Garland for making it.
Whats so bad ass about the film? Two guys yelling for an hour and shit wasn't done? Worst portaid war movie ever.

Ive seen this on a low end movie house! Dude, the sound is just amazing!
Just watched this last night, I recommend for any veteran to watch this movie, especially any Iraq veterans.
Yeah pay to trigger PTSD
Bruh
Pay to trigger PTSD😂 only the ones who suffer in silence get it.
This has the potential to be the most realistic and raw war movie ever made
The outpost was pretty realistic I couldn’t sleep after watching it
you should watch the movie “come and see”
It was very, very raw

Ok calm yourself

Wow. Whomever filmed this did a fantastic job.
I saw this film as a huge critique of the actions in Iraq in 2006.
This movie was great, highly recommend 10/10
Holy crap! Just got done watching this movie and I was on the edge of my seat the. whole. time. It was soo good. Felt like I was right there with them. 10/10 recommend
We will not forget your wars
Actually watch the movie, it's pretty legit.
Write it down then, we don't care and we won't stop!! Praise Allah Akbar!!
good.
Please do. It’s not worth fighting for a false prophet that raped children, pillaged, and murdered for no reason.
Quit touching little boys…
Can't come soon enough. Expecting it to be a good watch.
Dammm looking like it could possibly break the top 10 war movies shoot give me that for 80 - 90 mins and easily put it in my top 5
I was recommended this movie from a friend. I’ll let you guys know how it goes! 👍🏽
Thank you A24! I watch all of your movies and just saw this one tonight. It's amazing. Also, thanks for posting your movies on hbo. Heretic was great, too.
Excited for this. Definitely seeing this one in a theatre!
Just saw it with my son, AMAZING movie! Our theater was completely full, made me happy to see the film getting the support it deserves (at least locally here).
10/10 recommend seeing this movie. Very immersive, excellent sound, and felt so real.
For Joseph Quinn, I will watch this
Just came out the cinema after watching this and its truly an incredible film you really get to feel the pain, suffering and fear of these soldiers the sound of everything in the movie is just perfect this has got to be the best movie we’ve gotten in a good few years
Aah yes the pain and suffering of soldiers, not the pain and suffering of people they murdered right?
@@AlihassanFarooqi-e2iwhat about the civilians that died on 911 they were suffering a lot aswell, you sound like your taking sides with the taliban and terrorists which sounds pretty weird
@@-ZoologyZone- and what did Iraq have to do with 9/11 exactly?
@@Matt-vo1ge Along with Iraq's alleged development of weapons of mass destruction, another justification for invasion was the purported link between Saddam Hussein's government and terrorist organizations, in particular al-Qaeda. In that sense, the Bush administration cast the Iraq war as part of the broader War on Terrorism. Google is free
@@-ZoologyZone-your so brainwashed its actually sad. America did nothing but kill innoncent people in iraq.
Definitely terrifying.... made it seem like you were really there .. and what the hell they went through.
Current grunt in Australia,Fresh out the cinema today .all I can say is the hairs on my arms were sticking up in some scenes .
The sound quality was amazing, you could really feel the impact of the rounds being shot
A24 !!!
This Film Was Outstanding.
I really can't understand how Civil War last year didn't get anything for sound work. It was incredible in the IMAX. The gunshots throughout were terrifyingly real. Didn't feel like an action movie, but real.
Civil war was A**, I hope warfare is much better though
Another “we went to war unnecessarily and feel sad about it” movie. The fact that the American government does this to their young men is criminal, that should be the message of these movies.
I’d say it definitely is an anti-war movie. I commend them for showing a realistic portrayal if they’re going to do it at all.
You didn't even watch the movie and it shows.
Watched it today. Intense movie without all the usual unnecessary bullshit. Awesome soundscape! Detailed gear kits - perfect reenactment.👍🏻 „Shooting“ guns without any recoil is the only obvious detail that disturbed the immersion.
Go watch it!
Is it better than Black Hawk Down?
@@SC-gh6gd Total different movies - both are awesome. Black Hawk Down is a hollywood movie while Warfare is a immersive experience.
Watching Black Hawk Down makes you high five your buddys and lets you say: "Hell yeah, that was an awesome movie."
Warfare gives you PTSD.
"Warfare" lets you experience what our soldiers had to experience when facing the enemy. I think that´s the real merit earned by the director and the cast.
Everyone who has a partner or friend who experienced direct combat HAS to watch that movie so he can understand better what it means coming back from experiencing THIS (maybe multiple times) to everyday normal life.
DJ from GBRS GROUP made a precise comment on that movie.

The trailer alone gives me goosebumps.. errahh 0311s !
I feel like this will win some awards, excited to see it.
This looks amazing but it's just a shame that war still exists 😢
I was in Fallujah, ramadi and Baghdad in the summer of 2005 in the marine corps , prob going to give me nightmares and flashbacks for a month but hopefully it’s worth it …
Worth what?
A24 has been the best and needs to be recognized
I've been to watch this today, absolutely amazing.
Hooked. Need to watch the film.
this shit is insane, watched it last night im genuinely a new oerson
This movie is going to be awesome!
this movie was incredible, literally have never felt so horrified and on edge in a film before
Absolutely, from the moment the grenade got thrown to the credits there was a crazy tention that held itself all threwout the movie

Great movie, captures the reality of war very well
Everyone sitting in Washington D.C should be required to watch this
Ray actually said that he does, too, so those assholes know what going to war entails
The sound is going to go so hard 🔥🔥
BOO TOMATOES 🍅
Just bought tickets can’t wait to watch this on my day off work. I get goosebumps every time I see this trailer.
Hideo Kojima take notes, next Metal Gear
This film is to war films what "Blair Witch" is to horror films. Revolutionary. I believe this created a new genre: war experience films.
I'm seeing it tomorrow I'm soo looking forward to it.
I was a young freshly 18 year old Marine on my first tour over there in ‘06. I don’t have anybody to see this Movie with in theaters and it might be my Generation’s “Saving Private Ryan” so I’ll wait to cry alone at home on theater surround sound 4k.
I love war movies..and this one is going to one for the books 👊👌
If only Call of Duty games were still like this.
Call of duty will never be like this
Try squad, Insurgency and hell let loose
This is going to be one of those movies I have no doubt….. Civil War was just a soft teaser at what Garland can do with this genre.
I’m so sad we don’t have it in theaters where I live 😞

You gotta love how Americans and Israelis have this amazing way of making anyone defending themselves seem like the bad guy.
They didn’t make them look like bad guys. Just dudes defending their neighborhood.
exactly more hollyweird nonsense,, woke crap
This needs to be seen by everyone
This is exactly what I said to my husband when we were leaving the theatre. 🇺🇸
As Frankie Boyle once said, “Not only will America go to your country and kill all your people, but what’s worse I think, is that they’ll come back 20 years later and make a movie about how killing your people made their soldiers feel sad”. Truly an evergreen comment.
Yes, because America is unique in this regard (sarcasm) literally every country does this
Think of the biggest, most popular, English speaking war films since the end of WW11 and you’ll likely come up with an American movie. This is no accident either, branches of the armed forces have been very open with how Hollywood films can be used as propaganda and importantly an effective recruitment tool. The US Army War College published an article in 2017 stating ‘Top Gun’ was produced with the full support of the Navy, including fighter jets and aircraft carriers. The popularity of the film increased recruitment by 400 percent. The industrial military complex and Hollywood go hand in hand.
@@Abby_23 I saw a video of numerous iraq veterans on stage talking on mic about not proud of what they did and what all happened and tossing their medals.
Propaganda movie working at its finest.
@@KatanaPrincessI garentee this movie isn't one of those though, as they had a real combat vet help advise and produce this movie.
Typical movie through the eyes of an English Author about the US military. He got the blood right and made sure you would be sympathetic to Iraqis when it was done, but the storyline and character development were missing. It was ultra low budget, staggering slow to develop and left these viewers (veterans) with more questions than answers when it was over. 1 star out of 10.
Its a good movie 👍
The only thing missing is Plemons.
He's so known I think it may have taken you out of it a little in my opinion great actor tho
It doesn’t glorify or demonize. It just shows how it is for those who have to remember and live with it. It doesn’t hold your hand and it definitely doesn’t hold back. By far the best movie of the year and a real tribute to those who have to live with those memories for the rest of their days.
Best job i ever had!

cuz its garbage
This movie is not about a seal team, it’s about rooks that don’t even know how to use scissors, morphine, Israeli pressure bandages.
It’s because you think seals are suppose to be god like. But I reality they are just humans. This movie shows the other side of special operation warfare. The side that breaks them. Extremely realistic. Many special operation forces have been known to break in combat during Iraq and Afghanistan. Including seals
@@JuJu916JuJuBro thinks seals are supposed to get half the team blown up by a mine and then just walk it off and get some killstreaks in
Movie was terrible, im starting to think these comments are fake. Because there is no way every comment is saying its good when it was boring. They sat in a house the whole movie then they eventually left and it was over. Thats it, that's all. A little gun fighting but thats it. One of the worse movies I've seen. Did better off making this a simple documentary
I love a good Goog Guys Vs Bad Guys movie. I hope these guys win 🤗
I used to think bait was good. Try to be more subtle when fishing
This movie is gonna be so badass it’ll make Disney remake Snow White with expendables as the dwarfs

fax but all these fake patriots think this is honorable ! sick
It's so good, I felt like I was there. The anxiety I felt was unreal
Did you feel the horror experienced by the innocent people?
@johnbeans2000 oh yeah for sure. The movie did a great job of capturing the horrors of war (politics aside)
Is it better than Black Hawk Down?
I watched this movie and I liked it a lot, but I wish there was more to it this is a true story btw
They made a whole movie about Ramadi and didn’t even include the Army infantry? Navy PR is too strong. Jeez.
Yo my goosebumps have goosebumps
Sign me up.
Just to temper expectations, this is more of a thriller like Civil War was not the action packed Hollywood Rambo action.
But why are good movies always short?😏
Is that the star of David on the middle of the helmet?
Makes sense, that’s where the orders come from.
I saw this last night. Its realistic. I just think the combat scenes need more POV
The best
Probably shown a the action in the trailer , Probably sat around talking in that room for 85 percent of it and call it a masterpiece
Great
I was in Iraq in 2005 and shoot a single shot even though I volunteered for infantry missions, because I got bored of doing interrogations
