Rhythmically very nice, I'm less pleased with the somewhat high opening notes. And yes, I play the same tune too on the fiddle. You win easily technically. I'm convinced I beat you when it comes to the choice of notes, too bad if that sounds pretentious. I can live with that label.
A fair attempt but as a violinist myself, I don't think the violin character matches the sound of the original song. More notes don't make good. All the best to you.
