For those saying that Chips should have been converted to veganism: You don't know much about cats. Cats are obligate carnivores and *have to eat meat*, as the majority of their diet, to thrive. Depriving any cat of meat is cruel animal abuse. Humans can survive, and be healthy, without meat. Cats cannot (thisv is the case not "only" for big, wild cats, but also for pet/house cats.
Some people are hands down hopeless cases! Avegan bobcat... 🤦🏻♀️ A horribly corrupting influence on so many levels. Unlike you I can't even get going and explain the details, because certain types of people refuse to be taught substantial knowledge anyway due to their blinded, self-satisfied, pseudo-ethical agenda in life! If If that species of not reasonable but inconsiderate hardliner vegans took over the world in order to save nature and label themselves gracious humans, ironically and dreadfully, fauna and flora would die out within a few years! Raise a vegan bobcat... 🤦🏻♀️ That's in no way consistent with nature, it's quite frankly the epitome of ignorance, stupidity and human destruction of the natural circle.
Saying that cats should convert into veganism is like saying sharks, lions and wolves could last a week without meat. Not only is that animal abuse, it affects their body from that sort of diet.
What a privilege to be able to get close to all of these wild animals. All of these rehabilitators even though they are trained professionals, the risk is always there for wild animal behavior. Yet, they always do it so gracefully.
I have the utmost respect for the people who can do this. It's hard to let even domestic kittens go back to the shelter when they are weaned! Plus, there is a certain percentage that won't survive. It takes a lot of heart!
Thank You volunteers and rehabilitators.. My heart goes out to the animals that do not survive these wild fires. Campers, always make "SURE" that your camp fires are "FULLY EXTINGUISHED BEFORE, going home"!! THANKS!!
I'm so happy you guys are helping these little guys. Chips is adorable!! I think I would find it impossible not to pick him up and kiss and nuzzle his belly.
Thank you so much for sharing this precious little one with us. I am so glad that she was able to be released back into the wild. Great work to that team!
Thank you for sharing this ... just lovely. And I get to thinking and really do appreciate the responsibility you have to walk that line of "OK. No more human contact." The goal being, release back to natural habitat.
CHIPS.... 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 .... I NEVER have seen before SUCH a PRETTY, SWEET and " CRUNCHY " KITTEN !!!!! And later SUCH AN ADORABLE BOBCAT ! GEORGOUS !!!!!! Guys. You are making a great Job! 100000 of THANKFUL GREETINGS ! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I think the hardest part for these great people who help these animals is not interacting with them after a certain time. I know i would just want to cuddle and love Chip and spoil her. But she is not a pet and deserves to live the life of a wild Bobcat. Thanks for all the great work you guys do.
Great to see the kindness of this organization. I always remember the Bobcat who lived at the Oakland Zoo. He died when my children were young and I've always missed him. Don't think they've acquired another bob. Wish Chips and Tahoe Animal Rescue well! Thank you for your service.
Thank you for saving Chips! She is a beautiful bobcat. I am glad everyone worked together to get her rehabbed & released back into the wild. Awesome team work!
This is so cute! >^< I was constantly "awwwwwing" and saying "So cute!" I looked this up because there was a full grown bobcat in my backyard! He was so big!
It warms my heart to know there are kind, smart people on earth, who are working for the survival of precious animals and their beautiful habitats. THANK YOU 💜
You people do so well to care for these animals: I'm very touched ... especially that you take pains to prevent human habituation. I'm curious: have you tracked Chips to see how she's doing in the wild these days?
My bobcat is as gentle as a lamb,I have had him since he was 5 weeks old. He sleeps with me, takes food from my lips so gently I can barely notice it. He is also so smart I am teaching him to use the toilet. Since my German Rottweiler died he has been my guardian while I sleep.
I'm really not trying to discredit your experience, but you really should not be keeping a bobcat in your house, or even have one as a pet in general. It's important for your safety, as well as the safety of others who you might want to introduce the bobcat to. You may feel as though you've made progress in domesticating it, but they are still wild animals... It's not worth the slight chance that it will resort to its feral nature and attack you for some reason unknown to you. Believe me, it can and does happen. I'm just trying to give you a bit of advice as someone who has lived in areas where these types of animals commonly roam. I would NOT under any circumstances ever bring one into my house.
I want to think each and everyone of you for doing such a great and wonderful job for our wildlife. Thank you all and may God Bless You all for the work you are doing.
Thanks for what you do. It's great to see that these orphaned/injured animals are rehabbed correctly and released back into the wild. I could never work for a place like that because I'd want to be picking up that baby cat every single day and giving it lots of love. Lol.
Those eyes! how adorable I apreciate that your main interest is to return her to her habitat . Good job everyone .thankyou you are appreciated by all lovers of NATURE; who need all the GOOD PEOPLE it can get.
What a cute little ball-of-fluff kitten, but what a magnificent bobcat at 10 months. I live in B. C. and have seen forests ravaged like that one. Rehabilitation of wildlife and land is an important job - thanks for caring enough.
it is so sad how animals are losing their habitats day by day by natural disasters and especially human actions, hopefully more people can be made aware of their situation and we all can work to help them because they don't have a voice, we are their voice.
Me too, I would cuddle her every second. She is just too cute and adorable, I love little naughty cuddly Bobcat babies and Bobcat's. I used to have a beautiful tabby cat and he used to snuggle right next to me on my bed all night and then in the morning he would rub his cute soft face next to mine to wake me up so I didn't need an alarm clock but unfortunately he died and when I look at his BEUTIFUL photos it brings a tear to my eye because he understood me and I understood him. He was so kind, loving, affectionate and a great companion he will never be forgotten as he has a special place in my heart. My children were completely shattered until I bought home another little cute, cuddly, soft, furry baby tabby kitten and my kids are so happy know and he also reminds me of BARNY my great cat gone but never forgotten.
Me too...lol! I would want to keep her as a pet :) You have to have tough love for that job.... I don't envy the people who work with these animals. It must be really hard not to pick them up and cuddle them
I would want one as a pet but these are wild animals so they belong there unless they all of a sudden go domestic they belong in the wild or in a good sanctuary
The world needs more of this kind of place. Imagine a world where we all acted like guardians of nature: protecting it, nurturing it, and like these guys, giving it a helping hand. I want to live in that world.
Hi Tad & Cheryl: Just viewed the video about "Chips" the baby bobcat. Thank goodness there are people like you who truly care for wildlife, and so happy that Chips was released back into his wild habitat. In 1972 we rescued a full grown, tame bobcat. She was someone's pet that had somehow escaped from her owners. Her front paws were declawed, she had a thin brown collar in but no ID tag. She had been shot in the right hind leg and was starving and in very bad condition. We took her in and tried to locate her owner to no avail, so she remained our beloved friend for twenty years. I am a wildlife artist and have just had a book published about our family's life with this amazing and beautiful bobcat. I do make it clear in the book that these animals should remain in their natural habitat when at all possible. The book is entitled,"OUR FRIEND PRECIOUS THE BOBCAT," published by Brighton Publishing. It is available in e-Book, through Amazon.com and Barnes & Nobel.com. I think you would enjoy it. Best of wishes,. Judith Smith Wilson, Wildlife Artist, & Author
I belong to a wildlife rehabilitation group in Northern NY, North Country Wild Care. Its really hard not to get attached to an adorable critter like her. But its in her best interest that she is returned back into the wild where she can thrive. Teaching them how to be wild again is rewarding. You get a real sense of accomplishment when they are able to make it on their own.
As an amateur psychologist, I think it makes some people feel emotions they aren't comfortable feeling, so they get mad at the video for making them feel those emotions.
God bless people like this. We need more of them in the world. Making a special effort to care for another living creature outside your own species is the sign of a genuine and beautiful heart.
I couldn't do this job at all. Can't imagine having a kitty that close and not cuddling it all the time. The release I would cry and be fine letting her be free but to have her in the building and not snuggle her no way.
Yay! Give it a year and release him so I can call him in and drop that pussy! Mount it and make some kitty chilli!!! With a hint of bourbon by the fireplace!! whilst I pet its pelt!
Good for you guys! I hope Chip is happy in the wild. The wild is not the romantic place Disney makes it out to be, but it's where they are meant to be.
The way she walks is adorable! Her strides are so confident and powerful looking for a cub her age.

Vegan parents that push their lifestyle onto their kids deserve to be put down.
Even with dogs once they taste blood its all over
Saying that cats should convert into veganism is like saying sharks, lions and wolves could last a week without meat. Not only is that animal abuse, it affects their body from that sort of diet.
@3165dwayne Indeed.
I hope Chips has fared well in the years between when this was filmed and when I'm watching it now. What a beautiful cat!
Such a gorgeous cat. The sadness in her eyes was apparent. She had just lost her mommy.
DIDUKNOW7777 its a boy
I am a wildlife rehabilitator and adored your video. Together we can make a difference. I wish humans would stop stealing their habitats.
Well done guys for the great work you do for all the poor animals! Chips is a stunning beauty!
Awwww, great job to all those who helped baby Chips and the other animals.
What a privilege to be able to get close to all of these wild animals. All of these rehabilitators even though they are trained professionals, the risk is always there for wild animal behavior. Yet, they always do it so gracefully.

The ForestService does a wonderful job. The wilderness it manages are national treasurers. Thank You for your work.
Thank You volunteers and rehabilitators.. My heart goes out to the animals that do not survive these wild fires. Campers, always make "SURE" that your camp fires are "FULLY EXTINGUISHED BEFORE, going home"!! THANKS!!
So cute! Thanks to all who rescued her!!!

Thank you so much for sharing this precious little one with us. I am so glad that she was able to be released back into the wild. Great work to that team!

DUDE DUDERSON Totally, dude, she's a good kitty! What a sweet little creature!
DUDE DUDERSON I like stating the obvious too, She is abalutly positively adorable.
This warmed my heart.
It would be so hard to not pick her up and snuggle her.
I'd pick her up and make baby talk to her lol
+Afmedic85 I would want to but it isn't good for the kitty. That is unless it has to live in captivity, then I would ask the handlers if I could.
she wouldn't be going back to the wild, she would be going to my backyard
jannisares So true!
she would be going to the inside of my house
Thank you for sharing this ... just lovely. And I get to thinking and really do appreciate the responsibility you have to walk that line of "OK. No more human contact." The goal being, release back to natural habitat.

Awe, she is just a Doll Baby
I think the hardest part for these great people who help these animals is not interacting with them after a certain time. I know i would just want to cuddle and love Chip and spoil her. But she is not a pet and deserves to live the life of a wild Bobcat. Thanks for all the great work you guys do.

They're such amazing animals!
Wonderful job! Chips is going to be a beautiful bobcat, and just fine. She sure is a trooper, you can tell with her bright eyes full of wonder.
Great story and wonderful results.
it is so sad how animals are losing their habitats day by day by natural disasters and especially human actions, hopefully more people can be made aware of their situation and we all can work to help them because they don't have a voice, we are their voice.
Yup I would suck at that job...................Cos I keeping Chips!

+Khalil Razak Thank you for your touching story. Losing a close animal friend is so painful and difficult.
Yes, I'd want to do that same. Luckily, I feel the same about domesticated kitties, so when I retire, I'll probably volunteer at the pet cat rescue.
I would want one as a pet but these are wild animals so they belong there unless they all of a sudden go domestic they belong in the wild or in a good sanctuary
She has been a big girl now. Good luck, Miss Chips.
He's so cute.
The world needs more of this kind of place. Imagine a world where we all acted like guardians of nature: protecting it, nurturing it, and like these guys, giving it a helping hand. I want to live in that world.
What an awesome little Bobcat and a fantastic wildlife charity doing such good work. I've got huge admiration for those people.
If only there were as many good people as these caring considerate souls.
Thank you for helping them.
Precious, adorable thing!!!
Adorable bobcat kitty! Nicer than my housecat.
am i the onlyone, who saw the sadness in the baby bobcat's eyes????
poor sweetty.......
That was one of the first things I noticed myself. She did look happier later in the video though.
Ikr!!! So sad!!
She was in pain because her paws had burns.

Ella Dumond What's a "lkr!!!"? :/
I just died and went to cuteness heaven.
thank-you for taking care

Judith, Thank you for sharing and passing on the sentiment of taking care of our animals and keeping them in the natural habitat.
How sweet! My father had a pet bobcat when he was young - one of several rescued animal orphans my grandfather adopted (he was a biology professor).
She's so cute! 😍😍

I would pay good money to hold a baby bobcat. Adorable!
Now these guys are heroes.
Isn't called a bobkitten? XD

LoL so funny. So happy after i saw this!;]
No just cub
I love Chips!
120 people didn't like this, how stupid can they be
As an amateur psychologist, I think it makes some people feel emotions they aren't comfortable feeling, so they get mad at the video for making them feel those emotions.

I love pringles

Aww, helping gorgeous nature... two of the wild animals I admire most, bobcat and osprey : )
Yay Chips!!!
Yay! Give it a year and release him so I can call him in and drop that pussy! Mount it and make some kitty chilli!!! With a hint of bourbon by the fireplace!! whilst I pet its pelt!
It's definitely as cute as a bobkitten
You're doing such awesome, beautiful work, thank you :)
that is so good that chips returned to the wild.
Bobcats are so beautiful
Chips passes 200,000 views. The second 100,000 views happened much faster than the first! Thank you for sharing Chips' story!
Good for you guys!
I hope Chip is happy in the wild.
The wild is not the romantic place Disney makes it out to be, but it's where they are meant to be.
It's incredible how much she looks like a regular house kitten. She is beautiful.
Well done to all the helpful people, they deserve medals,- fantastic!
