I do photography for hobby and next week I’m doing a “session” for my pregnant wife and I’m currently watching lot of videos to get all ideas possible. I want this to be special and private. This is our first baby. Your video help me a lot thanks.
ISO is what gives you noise, if its too high that is. High Shutter speed will freeze motion, walking would be 1/500 and higher so you dont get blur shots.
@@RebeccaRiceEducation I shoot portraits in Myrtle Beach, SC, they are horrible here... and we call the tall grass "sea oats". I used to shoot only natural light, but with the harsh light here I've started using HSS to keep backs to the sun and a good cpl to avoid blown out backgrounds, it also helps improve the clarity of the water.
@@RebeccaRiceEducation Hey do you do anything with HSS? I know most clients like the "light and airy" look, but I love using HSS to bring in the clouds and sky, basically a good cpl on the lens, set my settings for the sky to look good, then use hss to appropriately light the subject 2 completely different styles, but curious if you've ever tried it
It is Bean Point which is the northern most part. It is somewhat difficult to find parking if you are not with someone renting there. The piers are great areas because you can also get the Sunshine Skyway bridge in the background on the right day for a couple and visitors like that as a memory of their time there.
Totally in love with this beach!!

Thanks for sharing your great tips! I am getting ready to do a family photo shoot at the beach this coming weekend, and this video is very helpful.
Ouhhhh! Do more behind the scene! This was really fun to watch!

Awesome session Rebecca
I'm getting ready for my first beach session!
Thanks for the amazing video, Rebecca. Do you have any class talking about edition? I love the colors of this session and your edition.
We just launched our Shooting and Editing Course! You can check it out here: store.rebeccaricephoto.com/shooting-and-editing-course
Beautiful work! And YES, mirrorless is wonderful!
Been shooting R6 for a couple months and love it. What is the key for that light and airy look in editing?
What lense are you using?
What if you want to make the background more visible? Should your lens be 50mm with F5.6 and lets say a good 15-20ft away from the subject is good?
were you shooting in manual?
I love shooting in the golden hour. My favorite part is when they finally relax and start to enjoy the session.
That’s the best feeling! 🙌🏼
Hi Rebecca, is light and airy only achievable if using natural lights?
When you take family photos with small kids do you manually focus or shoot with auto focus?
I photograph up at AMI all the time, but located on Siesta key. Your process just like mine! yay!
Aw yay!!! That’s awesome!
how did you make this edit for the raw image ??
How do you shoot with such a high shutter speed and not get any noise in the background, I have a mark iii and I have the issue sometimes xo

LOL, learning about sand spurs... I hate those things!
Omg they’re the worst!! I ended up getting stuck with one on our way back to the car 🙈

Why didn't you lower your ISO to 100 when shutter speed is so high?
Beautiful session :)
Thank you!!
What kind of camera do you use and lens.
Hey there! In this session I was shooting with a Canon 5D Mark III and my 85 mm 1.4 lens.
Lol they are called sea oats
I have never shot a beach session..
I also have a mirror less camera but I am a Nikon shooter
Very helpful Thank You
I’m glad to help!
Which beach in AMI is this?
I think it was called Bean Point or something like that?

Sea oats
