Thanks Henrik- i have a Mac and it is NOTHING like your video demonstration! Such a pain! It wouldnt recognize The red and green corners lining up- i called DJI and after a long time on the phone they decided i should send it in. YOU may have hit on something though when you talked about the screen resolution! I think its time for a new screen- thank you!
I got the same message yesterday so I could use this video today when calibrating the vision system with a lycky result. Thank you Henrik for all your entertaining videos and instructions! :)
Well Done, Henrik! Excellent job showing a step by step for performing and a complete calibration of the Mavic 2 Pro! Thank you, and again, Nicely Done!
Beware, it will not work if the a Windows' computer connected to duo monitors. In addition, DJI customer service told me you need to have a screen larger than 12 inches, thus a laptop may not work. I can get it to work on my Windows laptop, but it is very difficult, as the program works better if on big screens. I had problems and DJI customer service told me it was Windows driver issue. This was some months ago, so they may have fixed the problem by now.
Thanks. I typically remove my propellers when connected to the computer, just to prevent potential errors that might start the motors. One habit I have is to unmount the device (internal memory and SDCard) before unplugging from the computer. Your computer has mounted those two memory cards to allow transferring of photos and videos. If you just yank the USB cable (Type C for the M2P) then Windows might think there is an error with the memory cards the next time you connect back to your computer to transfer. Just an observation. The M2P transfers files much, much faster than the Mavic Pro ever did. Frequently with the MP, I'll extract the sdcard and use a card reader plugged into the USB port on my computer, rather than use a USB cable plugged into the drone. I had problems the first time I did that calibration with my Mavic Pro. It kept timing out on me, but I finally got it done. I haven't tried it yet with the M2P. Color by numbers?
HELP ME PLEASE Congratulations for your video more than exhaustive I did my procedure for my mavic pro 2 just following your instructions I must say that first of all I don't find a double window like you in dji assistance 2 for mavic then once I finish the calibration procedure of all the sensors at the end of the construction of the log file the procedure rikane stops at 0% and is unable to close the procedure I was wondering if you could help me understand why this ever happens and possibly how I can solve it I state that like you I have both an imac and a notebook with windows 11 and on my imac I also installed windows 10 but with both the problem remains thanks for everything and I look forward to your info
This highly informative explanation is appreciated, sir. I just bought a used Mavic 2 Pro and I am determined to calibrate every aspect of this bird - from the GPS, IMU, Compass, and camera gimbal, to the position sensor cameras in all axes whose procedure I can now follow with none of my usual trial-and-error approaches. I'd subscribe to this channel again today if it were possible haha,
How do you connect the cord from your drone for vision calibration, to your Mac when the cord that DJI provided has a much larger USB on the opposite end. ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. You have one of the best websites for drone information out there. Thank you, Thomas.
Great description so I will reinstall and update all my dji pieces from drone to racing goggles cause it is 5 month from when I did that last time. I can remember that pain from remote over battery to drone and goggles ... took 6 hours on a new machine. When will dji start to update spark and mavic air? Pretty late this time ...
Interessant! Takk for informativ film! 👍Har ikke behøvd å gjøre dette ennå. Merket du noe på forhånd eller kom varselet en dag du startet? Kjedelig hvis man er langt ute i felten og finner ut dette da. 😉
Ok well I’ve just replaced the lower infrared sensor board due to an aux lighting fault. Now getting warning msg saying infrared red sensor calibration error. Do u know how to rectify this?
Strange. You said you're using a 5k iMac? I could not get the software to recognize the resolution of my 27" 5k iMac (running Mojave) about a month ago. What version of the Assistant software are you using? The screen with the dots would never appear, even after manually entering the screen resolution. Very frustrating. Luckily, I was able to run the calibration on my old MacBook Pro, though with the smaller screen it was difficult as the arms of the M2P kept hitting the keyboard.
@@TECHDRONEMEDIA Thanks for the reply. I thought I was using the latest version, but when I looked at the download package the one on the site may be newer. I'll install and report back.
OK. The issue was due to having multiple monitors hooked to the iMac, not the software version. I turned off the external displays and restarted DJI Asst 2, entered Calibration, and it worked!!! So glad you had it working on a 5k iMac, so I would take the effort to try again.
thanks for the video i didnt know where to find this but u are not supposed to move the drone around just move the pointing of the cameras the drone is supposed to stay in the middle they tell you this in the tutorial before you start calibration .the drone should be pivoting from the middle of the screen

Lars Törnquist hehe, that is timely then :-)
@@TECHDRONEMEDIA it really is!
My calibration stays at zero when its complete. Please help!
Thank you for your response yet is greatly appreciated. You do a fine job at all your videos. Keep up the good work. Thank you Thomas from the Sates.

Good point with the propellers, should have done that
Thank you ......... Very Helpful........lining up the side sensors the trickiest.
Thanks Henrik this will help a lot when others need to do the calibration great job
Very helpful! Thank you very much.

Try with an adaptor from USB-A to C
Henrik I have a MacBook air and it a USB-C, which is smaller than the large USB do I have to get an adapter ?

I think we will see a spark 2 next
Can I use the mavic 2 PRO only like a camera? To record videos without all the noise coming from inside?
yes, but it's not recording audio
I plugged in the USB and nothing happened. Does it have to be the same USB that came with the drone?
No, but it need to support data transfer

ja, jeg fik en warning i GO4 appen, men kunne godt flyve alligevel
How do u calibrate the infrared sensors?
you don't
Ok well I’ve just replaced the lower infrared sensor board due to an aux lighting fault. Now getting warning msg saying infrared red sensor calibration error. Do u know how to rectify this?
Not really, I would expect the IR sensors not to be directional.

a7wd yes 5k imac, and the latest version of assistant from the DJI website.

Yes drone needs to stay more or less in center and you move the sensors pointing at the areas you need to paint, if that make sense
@@TECHDRONEMEDIA Thanks I was unclear of the correct procedure thanks again I appreciate how thorough you are with your explanations in your videos
Sounds at least a bit like vacuum cleaner in action - or hair dryer.
Thanks
