    Thank you for sharing! I'm at the other end of "seasons" with my first 3 (of 8) kiddos moving out within a year of one another, and not to scare anyone who is in the "constantly adding to the family" stage, but this season has been by far the hardest I've ever encountered. This is exactly what we want for our children...to grow and thrive and become amazing adults, but man...I didn't anticipate the giant holes in my heart and watching the younger siblings adapt. We're a super close family, which I am so grateful for, but it has made these major life changes very difficult to navigate.

      @@frozenjonesfam thank you for sharing! I’ve been told that several times by my mother in law who only has 4, but she always said when you have them all close in age, they all leave back to back and i actually dread that season!
      I know it will be lovely to see them transition into adulthood but like you said, I anticipate it being the hardest season as well!

      @AmmieHarris Do you mind sharing what curriculum you use for Riggs? Is he kindergarten schooling right now? Do you like the curriculum?
      My oldest is 4, and we are doing our basic preschooling right now, which alot of what we do is what our local kindergarten classes are learning. I have been researching different curriculums!....there are soooo many... eeeekkkk!

    • @AmmieHarris
      @AmmieHarris 8 дней назад +1

      @@amandayeates185 yes there are sooo many! I get overwhelmed as well!
      So I didn’t really want to do a full kindergarten with him this year and really wait to do full/formal lessons until he’s 6 but he likes doing some things for about 30-45 min. So to get into a good groove and rhythm for the years ahead, we do hymns and Bible, treehouse school nature study, the good and the beautiful math curriculum , and explode the code and 100 easy lessons to teach your child to read.
      We don’t do all of that every day but we rotate around to what he wants to do and learn from that day!
      I also have a ton of just fun learning books all my kids like to flip through and work on their own anytime throughout the day!

    Such a providential video. We just had my first a month ago. I keep reminding myself that this dependent newborn phase will pass, so cherish it the best I can. We've had to completely overhaul expectations, which I am so blessed to have a husband that is totally onboard with this reality. It does scare me to have more children, but the Lord has never failed to provide. Why would he stop now?
