Also, if we say that someone has ascended to heaven with their physical body then we are saying that before Christ someone else has experienced eternal life, which would bring out inconsistency in God's word. Concerning Elijah, first of he wasn't taken up to heaven, he was simply transported by a whirlwind as seen in the bible verse, not chariots of fire. And if you look at the next verses you'll see the prophets saying probably he was taken up to a mountain. Also, 2 chronicles 21:12 records Elijah sending a letter to the son of Ahab ten years after the incidence of the whirlwind, so if he was in heaven how did that happen? Yeah, I agree with your view although the part where he says not to use HEB 11 to teach Faith is incorrect and correct at the same time bec it's 50-50 i.e he is partly correct. HERE'S MY REASON: Although the Faith mentioned in here is their Faith which did not see fulfilment yet this same FAITH has been perfected in the believer, yet in releasing the Faith power in us we must learn to see the work of Christ which they saw in the unfulfilled position in time i.e they saw the work of Christ when it was not yet fulfilled by Faith but we see the fulfilled work of Christ from the position that it is fulfilled. So it's the SAME FAITH but from two different view points. Their position is before the cross and our position is after the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and His ascension. One of the vital character of Faith is SEEING (2CORINTHIANS 4:18, 5:7, HEB 11:3 ETC). When the old saints looked into the realm of the Spirit by Faith, they saw a promise i.e an uncompleted work but when We look into the realm of the Spirit, He shows us all the old saints saw but in their completed state. The issue is not the Faith but WHAT YOU SEE and what one sees depends on from where do you look (OLD TESTAMENT OT NEW TESTAMENT) BUT FAITH REMAINS THE SAME.

It is important to play the full message and not just excerpts. If Enoch and Elijah did not die physically, then it means they experienced immortality before Christ. But that was not possible until Christ died and rose - only then was immortality revealed and made accessible to man.

Please can someone throw more light this Acts 19:11-12 "And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.". Should handkerchiefs or aprons be likened to mantle? I love this teaching. Also I need clarification on this chapter.
God wrought special miracles by the hand of Paul. God did that in divers ways including his handkerchief healing people. However, a believer will not build a doctrine around handkerchief due to that. All you need today is the name of Jesus. Christ is enough for us. His name is enough. There is no place in the bible that suggests that we should build a monument around handkerchief or call it mantle. Let me know if that helps!

He spoke the word, he spat on clay, he asked someone to go and bath in River. Paul did not distribute handkerchiefs. Death is NOT the irreversible cessation of LIFE. There are different types of death. For example, the bible talks about Jesus, his death was two-fold: one was a spiritual death and the other was a physical death. So you will have to understand what kind of death the scriptures in [HEBREWS 11: 13] referring to. Also, [ROMANS 5:12-19] let us know through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned, so the understanding of the kind of death the scriptures is referring to is very important. The question is what kind of death did Enoch and Elijah died, obviously not the PHYSICAL DEATH you are thinking of, because they were translated and was not found. The scriptures let us know that there isn't just one kind of death.

If Jesus Christ was touched by a woman and virtues came out of him and caused a woman(by faith) to get healed, isn’t that in the same vein about sharing of anointing or grace. The point I'm about to make is not with regards to this video. It's just a general view I've seen in most churches and also anti-christian groups. I just want to say that people can use scripture to back up anything they want to achieve. For example, I watched a debate where a Muslim said, "the bible says Christ does not profit." The bible says so, but he didn't state the whole verse neither did he understand its whole context. Because Paul wasn't implying Christ does not profit us. Just to say when scripture is singled out and taken out of context, all manner of meanings can be generated. And is easily accepted by those who do not search scripture for themselves and just believe preachers are infallible and can't be corrected.

For those saying this teaching is false... Anybody who dies can only go to Jesus in a body that has been glorified, this is only possible after Jesus died and was glorified and returned once again. Infact, the Bible was never written in verses, so there are no standalone verses! Once a verse is standalone it loses life. . . All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth. Hebrews 11:13 NLT . . Also, if we say that someone has ascended to heaven with their physical body then we are saying that before Christ someone else has experienced eternal life, which would bring out inconsistency in God's word. Concerning Elijah, first of he wasn't taken up to heaven, he was simply transported by a whirlwind as seen in the bible verse, not chariots of fire. And if you look at the next verses you'll see the prophets saying probably he was taken up to a mountain.
Also, 2 chronicles 21:12 records Elijah sending a letter to the son of Ahab ten years after the incidence of the whirlwind, so if he was in heaven how did that happen?
The incidence in 2 kings 2:11 was just the Spirit of God transporting him to a place, and that wasn't the first time. 1 Kings 18:12

Yeah, I agree with your view although the part where he says not to use HEB 11 to teach Faith is incorrect and correct at the same time bec it's 50-50 i.e he is partly correct. HERE'S MY REASON: Although the Faith mentioned in here is their Faith which did not see fulfilment yet this same FAITH has been perfected in the believer, yet in releasing the Faith power in us we must learn to see the work of Christ which they saw in the unfulfilled position in time i.e they saw the work of Christ when it was not yet fulfilled by Faith but we see the fulfilled work of Christ from the position that it is fulfilled. So it's the SAME FAITH but from two different view points. Their position is before the cross and our position is after the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and His ascension. One of the vital character of Faith is SEEING (2CORINTHIANS 4:18, 5:7, HEB 11:3 ETC). When the old saints looked into the realm of the Spirit by Faith, they saw a promise i.e an uncompleted work but when We look into the realm of the Spirit, He shows us all the old saints saw but in their completed state. The issue is not the Faith but WHAT YOU SEE and what one sees depends on from where do you look (OLD TESTAMENT OT NEW TESTAMENT) BUT FAITH REMAINS THE SAME.

We use the old testament to reveal God, teach about the Character of God and Expose what is not of God. We are products of the finished work, unlke our forefathers who patiently expected for Christ to come.

If Enoch and Elijah did not die physically, then it means they experienced immortality before Christ. But that was not possible until Christ died and rose - only then was immortality revealed and made accessible to man.
Jesus was raised from the dead. We must believe the written word. Enoach was translated into heaven. This is two defferent things.

And more so, he even expounded on doctrine in verse 6 before listing names from 7 to 13 to say all these died
In Matthew 14:18 (NLT,), we read
18 “Bring them here,” he said. 19 Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave the bread to the disciples, who distributed it to the people.
It says Jesus took and prayed over bread and fish. But it says down further that Jesus broke and gave bread.
Should we make a doctrine and noise that Jesus gave them only bread but not the fish?
Let us not stretch "all these people died" and mix up the scriptures.

In as much as I don't agree with this man of God. I respect his right to teach what he thinks. We know that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, that must be why he tried to explain with Hebrews 11 emphasizing the fact that "these all died" . Our faith doctrines will always differ based on the denomination or environment we find ourselves. Pls I imploy us, Let's not be too hard on him. Rather let us focus on where we have common grounds and don't forget to pray for him.
Faith doctrine has to remain constant everywhere. For example, When A currency is in circulation even to the extent of being in foreign territories, it retains it's actual value and charactersitics. It is not dependant on the environment.
Nobody has rhe right to teach "what he thinks" when it comes to the Bible. You must teach what is correct.

Please can someone throw more light this Acts 19:11-12 "And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.". Should handkerchiefs or aprons be likened to mantle? I love this teaching. Also I need clarification on this chapter.
God wrought special miracles by the hand of Paul. God did that in divers ways including his handkerchief healing people.
However, a believer will not build a doctrine around handkerchief due to that. All you need today is the name of Jesus. Christ is enough for us. His name is enough. There is no place in the bible that suggests that we should build a monument around handkerchief or call it mantle.

@@MrYinkaThe handkerchief was a symbolic point of contact for those who needed the touch of God to build their faith. Jesus used different ways to transfer the healing virtues. He spoke the word, he spat on clay, he asked someone to go and bath in River. Paul did not distribute handkerchiefs. People who had sick relatives at far places believed God was a prophet of God and bcos they couldn't get him to their sick ones they believe touching him with an handkerchief and taking it to their sick ones is a symbol of his presence. But revelation is progressive. That was before Paul dosed them with heavy teachings about their rights and stand in God. I am sure those things must have faded away from church practices towards the end of the lives of the apostles by which time the believers were well enlightened.

That same chapter in v5 clearly said Enoch didn't die, secondly aprons and handkerchiefs were taken from the body of Paul to heal the sick, isn't that a kind of mantle ministration? Paul remained alive by the way. Adam ofcourse had eternal life, the Bible said God breathed into him and he became a living soul. That same breath (spirit) of God is what comes on us when we become born again and that is eternal life.

Enoch and Elijah are still alive and will return as The Two Witnessess. They will do battle with the Anti-Christ and be killed in Jerusalem. The Ancient Ecclessia knew these things. The return of the Two Witnessess will be a cataclysmic event!

Death is NOT the irreversible cessation of LIFE. There are different types of death. For example, the bible talks about Jesus, his death was two-fold: one was a spiritual death and the other was a physical death. So you will have to understand what kind of death the scriptures in [HEBREWS 11: 13] referring to. Also, [ROMANS 5:12-19] let us know through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned, so the understanding of the kind of death the scriptures is referring to is very important. The question is what kind of death did Enoch and Elijah died, obviously not the PHYSICAL DEATH you are thinking of, because they were translated and was not found. The scriptures let us know that there isn't just one kind of death.

Adam and Eve were created for eternal life but however, they disobeyed this command and were subsequently expelled from the Garden, losing access to the tree of life, which would have granted them eternal life.

Enoch went to heaven like Elijah but as we know no sinful flesh can enter there meaning they were changed just those who will be alive at the second coming. I’m not all about totally right or wrong but one has to contend what is debatable. In 5:15-5:25, there was an issue of sharing of anointing or grace. If Jesus Christ was touched by a woman and virtues came out of him and caused a woman(by faith) to get healed, isn’t that in the same vein about sharing of anointing or grace. This was also stated in the scriptures where healings took place by mere touching the carrier.

The point I'm about to make is not with regards to this video. It's just a general view I've seen in most churches and also anti-christian groups.
I just want to say that people can use scripture to back up anything they want to achieve.
For example, I watched a debate where a Muslim said, "the bible says Christ does not profit." The bible says so, but he didn't state the whole verse neither did he understand its whole context. Because Paul wasn't implying Christ does not profit us.
Just to say when scripture is singled out and taken out of context, all manner of meanings can be generated. And is easily accepted by those who do not search scripture for themselves and just believe preachers are infallible and can't be corrected.

I asked a question here, are some of us not a student of the bible? We need to study the word of God and hold on to the truth. Anybody who dies can only go to Jesus in a body that has been glorified, this is only possible after Jesus died and was glorified and returned once again. Enoch and all prophets died before this time and the time is yet!
Ask yourself how did Peter, James and John, Christs' disciples knew Elijah and Moses at the transfiguration on the mountain and yet they never saw how they looked like, who told them it was Elijah and Moses?

@@joeaba5054 It is important to read the Bible properly and in context. Firstly, the above verse is quoted from Genesis 5, it is not a stand alone verse. No verse has life on it's own. Infact, the Bible was never written in verses, so there are no standalone verses! Once a verse is standalone it loses life.

If you read the whole of chapter 11, you will understand the stories are progressive, describing the faith of the men of the OT and they all eventually died.
Jesus again says, and he first quotes Isaiah,and says;
"It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me [Isaiah 54:13].
Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father."

John also reminds us of this reality, he says;
"For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

So God was not fully revealed in the OT so many things they said are subject to be confirmed in light of Jesus the revelation of God and yet, he is God himself.
