Correct me if I am wrong: Since somewhat around March 2020, the notice when you get administrative processing says it is denied but undergoing administrative processing 221(g). Pre March 2020 the notice did just say "Administrative processing - we need some more checks to approve your visa". The reason why this is important is that - please correct me if I am wrong Sir Sapochnick - is that in your I-485 adjustment of status there is the question whether a US visa was ever denied to you. I made the mistake stating No, but still got the green card (my visa was once in administrative processing). I am sure this question will come up when applying for naturalization. My administrative processing was because my application was filed in a form which was replaced by a newer form so they told me to just fill up the new form and they'll approve then.

But he was not able to submitt family member his wife or children in dv lottery form .he lied to consular officer that he is single. My son currently in the same situation and the Embassy still has his passport. He was told congrats, visa approved and to wait to be notified within 2-3 weeks, of which Courier location to pick up his passport. It's now going on to 4 weeks, no notification from the embassy and case is in REFUSED status.

Hi Jacob, I attended the interview at Mumbai embassy, India and the case went for AP. I was not asked to submit any document but to just wait for an email from the embassy. Its been over a month now. The Ceac visa tracker still shows Ready (for interview). What do you think is happening?

They responded back in about 84 days and I was called for a second interview at Mumbai ( never heard of anyone else going for a second round before …but me) … no additional documents were asked. Finally, visa was granted and am in the US now. But you have to do the toughest thing… just hold tight …you will sail through it. Good Luck.

Thanks for your brief explanation on administrative processing case. I applied B1/B2 visa on December 12, 2023 and on deadlock bz of 214g (administrative processing). I was requested and provided the last 5 years travel history. But still my case is under process. I tried to request z status through email but the received reply emails to wait patiently with the warning message not to send repeated email to follow which says repeated request email may cause to delayed the approval process. Hmm. I'm so hopeless and helpless on my application. I may need your advise please??

My interview was 11 may, the consular took my passport and requested me high school transcript and gave me pink paper. I submitted requested document 30th may. Until today the embassy didn’t do anything and I emailed them about my case on the 15th June. And the response from the consular was.....please give us time until we review the case for finalization. @movies5515 refused status updated twice, I mean date changed but status was refused. It took one month and 4 days, April 11th to May 15th.May 17th it changed to ready, and again, may 22nd date changed and its still shows ready

Actually I have been admitted to a fully funded PhD program through offering RA, but because of not meeting minimum language score requirements needed for TA, I wasn't eligible for TA, and this is mentioned in my offer letter, in my offer letter they said I am not eligible to be TA until I submit sufficient language score,

How long stuck in case
My son got a 221g refusal for his IR2 visa on February 28th 2023. He was asked to send his original birth certificate my marriage certificate via FedEx. He was also asked to upload his new passport page. I send all the documents the same day via FedEx. I checked the status it said refused and last updated March 3.

My son currently in the same situation and the Embassy still has his passport. He was told congrats, visa approved and to wait to be notified within 2-3 weeks, of which Courier location to pick up his passport. Hi Jacob, I attended the interview at Mumbai embassy, India and the case went for AP. I was not asked to submit any document but to just wait for an email from the embassy. Its been over a month now. The Ceac visa tracker still shows Ready (for interview). What do you think is happening?

They responded back in about 84 days and I was called for a second interview at Mumbai ( never heard of anyone else going for a second round before …but me) … no additional documents were asked. Finally, visa was granted and am in the US now. But you have to do the toughest thing… just hold tight …you will sail through it. Good Luck.
