This Vauxhall Astra came into us for the start of a gradual sound overhaul, with the aim of completely transforming the audio experience within the car.
The first stage of this upgrade was soundproofing the front and rear doors. By applying almost 50 sheets of Skinz soundproofing to all 3 layers within the door, we have completely transformed the environment where speakers work, to ensure the best possible performance, while also reducing rattles and road noise!
Initially, the customer has chosen to upgrade the front speakers in the car, with a view install more components later on. The front speaker set is an Audison Prima upgrade, utilising a woofer in each door and 2 new tweeters on the dash, all in stock locations.
One of the biggest benefits of an Audison Prima update is their ability to perform utilising the car's stock radio - without any need for additional amplification! The Audison Prima range offer a fantastic increase in clarity and general sound quality without having to take on the additional costs around amplification.
Moving forward, there is lots of scope for how to proceed in this car - we can upgrade the rear speakers to co-axial speakers for a much more rounded sound stage in the car, or add in an amplifier and subwoofer for more power and a big kick of bass! The possibilities are endless!

Good job lads. Personally work on my own car. The word stages gives me nightmare ha. I did it all 1 door at a time. Sound deadening, kicker CS throughout the car dsp amp and now awaiting for my sub to complete the package thought I ran the wiring originally so will just need plugging in its on a insignia

Did you put capacitors or the crossovers to the tweeters? I can’t find a way how I could connect the crossovers
Hi, we run new cable
I put Hertz into my Astra. The dash top speakers were a problem so i used Powerbass 2.75" speakers there. System sounds much better than stock.

How deep is the space for the front speakers? I can't find the dimensions on-line anywhere for this make and model

What are the tweeters called you put in a dashboard I can't find anything that will fit my Astra K I have already had the doors soundproofed and speakers upgraded
You can use, Audison prima or Audison Voce :)
Hi, where do you get the brackets for the dashboard tweeters please? When I look for the Audison tweeters all I can find is the actual round tweeter itself.
