Big bird said on his channel that he left Marisa because she needs not only the correct match-up but also the correct player to win. Starting over after mastering a character is not easy. I hope it inspires Idom.
What would inspire Idom is to do better with his character, he doesn't need to follow others philosophy to go and switch for another stronger character that everyone else is using to win tournament. I mean look at El Chakotay who put in the work with Lily and have won Combo Breaker with her, that itself should inspire those to try and win with low tiers.
Idom doesn't want to be inspired. He knows he's trash at SF6, so sticking to a character he can blame instead of himself is the only thing he's got left.
Not that surprised. Hikaru is such a solid and clever player with his AKI. Punk has amazing fundamentals but thats all his game is about. He needs to add more flare and unpredictability to his game especially in SF6 where those things are more rewarded in comparison to SFV. He doesn’t even really use Cammy’s hooligan moveset much, nor her OD spin knuckle.
And cammy often does. I watch hikaru streams all the time and i havent seen him win against a good cammy yet, this is the first time. When punk went to japan he was only able to reach rank 1 quickly because he kept getting mstched against hikaru. Idk what really happened here, but maybe the controller problems on punks side made a difference.
Luke's damage off drive rush jabs is insane, I know they added scaling but they added the jab scaling to everyone, so when everyone's drive rush jab damage is now doing baby damage in comparison to Luke, it really doesn't feel like much of a nerf at all to him.
At last someone who understands me. It doesn't matter how much they try to "balance" his moveset. After the last patch, he could've kept his arsenal intact, the BIG PROBLEM with Luke is the insane, ridiculous damage output.
