we're highkey stacked
Huge Canucks Fan and Half season Ticket holder here
Our Canucks still need another Top 4 D Man but we have No Cap Space so that means someone (Top 6) is going to Move (Traded) so hopefully Sprong plays great (30 Goals)
Also I can't stand Edm but they are better than Last year offensively
They are Stacked but thr D might be an issue although they played great as the Playoffs went on.
We are pretty stacked too but who's going to get traded for that D Man?
That's the question
That's one less TOP 6 Frwd gone
@@conservativeamber1216 we aren’t trading a top 6 guy. Most likely the only guys that get traded are the guys who don’t make the roster(maybe podz or Aman) for most likely picks. Then we load up on a stud defenceman at the deadline with our accumulated cap space
We have a tragic blueline bud.
kind of cool how the Canucks learn from their mistakes like moving Kuzmenko
How exactly was that a mistake, they got quite the return. Which they leveraged for DeBrusk and Heinen
@@terminalfilms8074
we got absolutely fleeced for a rental
Canucks have one of the best management groups in the league. Daniel Sprong will play a role. Thats the key in Vancouver. They plan. They have an agenda. They havent done that for a very long time
I could see Podkolzin having a good summer and challenging for a spot, Making the forward lines 1 to many, thus forcing a trade for someone like Boeser for a puck moving D man like John Marino
Joshua Miller Garland
Debrusk Pettersson Sprong
Podkolzin Blueger Hoglander
Heinen Suter Sherwood
Hughes Hronek
Soucy Marino
Dejarnais Myers
Demko
Silovs
Might want to consider why 5 NHL teams moved on from him in just 6 years before getting too excited.
The next guy to get traded with a first and a prospect for a rental that wasn’t the player the team needed in the first place…
(Lindholm)
That next Kuzy?
2 prospects, tho neither of them were signing with vancouver, bruzkewicz wasn't signing here and Canucks had no interest in signing Jurmo.
No, Sprong won't be the next Kuzmenko because he costs 4 million dollars less and can sit on his butt all he wants if he does not do want Toc and the system asked him to do.
He’ll probably be out of the league if he doesn’t buy into the system.
@@JohnRedCorn79So he Will probably try his best not to get Blacklisted at age 27
He will lose a lot of Money so he will prove himself next season
@@smarty432 Sprong will buy in, he doesn't have a choice. He's left millions on the table so far in his career simply because his unwillingness to play defense. This will be his last real shot to establish himself and he knows it.
So Daniel Sprong is sounding like the new Pavel Bure
NHL25 coming out soon
There have been 6 Article on Sprong so far and 4 Videos
A couple of them were solid
We still need another Top 4 D Man
But we have No Cap so someone's going to get moved by Rutherford because he's definitely not done structuring this team yet
trading kuzmenko worst trade ever. almost as bad as locking down petersson
These players are sick of playing for Rick he will be fired mid season
Aren't you sick of smoking Crack?
Ever since Kessler this team’s issue has been no wingers for the 2nd line centre
Miller is the best centre on this team and with Boeser Canucks have 2/3 of a first line
Petterson has no legit top 6 wingers
DeBrusk is a middle 6, whether he takes off here, who knows but even if he does, still one top 6 winger short on that line.
At best Canucks will have 4 out of 6 bonafide top 6 players
2 top 4 D
The only position this team is a true contender at is in net.
Forward and D lineup is a pretender at best
You know I see what you’re saying but they also have one of the better third lines in the nhl and I would consider soucy a ok top 4 d , hoglander also had 24 5v5 goals but only 36 points so he could be considered a borderline top 6, overall the team is pretty good, the d could use another top 4 and could use another top 6 forward so there are still a few gaps but every team in the nhl pretty much have gaps somewhere on their team
I would consider soucy a top 4 d man.
Nucks aren't built like a traditional 1 through 4. It's all about balance and depth.
Debrusk is a career 47pt/60 min winger playing sub 16min per game in a mostly middle six role. He's top six here and will push 30g+. Sprong has the offensive talent to be a 25g 35a winger here if he plays top six minutes. Only thing stopping him is his unwillingness to commit to a 200ft game. Our bottom six in any configuration is elite.
Soucy is top 4. If Myers can replicate last season, he is as well, albeit fringe. Bottom pairing is a question mark but has the ceiling to be an elite shutdown pairing. They are already elite on the PK. Ideally, we need a cheap bonafide puck moving second pairing dman to push Myers down to the bottom pairing. We should be looking hard at someone like Justin Schultz.
Goaltending isn't a lock. Demko needs to stay healthy and Silovs needs to work on some key details and show he can handle 30+ games. I have the team penciled in as:
Heinen Miller Boeser
Debrusk Pettersson Sprong
Joshua Blueger Garland
Hoglander Suter Sherwood
Podkolzin
Hughes Hronek
Soucy Myers
Forbort Desharnais
Juulson
Demko
Silovs
That's a solid team and will compete for the conference. This team overall is heavier, faster, with more offensive upside than last season.
@@Xyy2387 I agree with everything you said, Justin Schultz is also the guy I was thinking the Canucks could use and get for cheap on a 1 year deal and I also have the lineup shaping up the same way, maybe swap Heinen and Hoglander but I’m sure they’re going to try a lot of different lines in preseason to see what works best
@@Lawlorrr Oh, for sure they'll all be rotated. The potential line combos are almost limitless. Our depth and flexibility is a major plus.
Hogs game tends to suffer when put in a top six role. Perhaps needs to work on his details to handle the tougher matchups, who knows. If I was front office, I'd want him to improve his consistency and decision making under pressure then bridge him for 3yrs in the low 2m range. He will regress in terms of goals. No way he scores at a 20% clip long term.
Hindsight is 20/20 but ideally we should've offered Desharnais 1m and Schultz 2.2m.
Hughes Hronek
Soucy Schultz
Forbort Myers
Desharnais
Juulson
Sprong is nowhere close to Kuzy. And he never will be.
Had an idea hear me out. Canucks trade for Adam Larson from Seattle. Package a 1st 4th a couple of our bottom players to make cap spacw who all involved have 1 year left on their deals
If seattle isn't playoff bound, they can essentially get a couple picks for free and if they want Larson back, they can just resign him at the end of the year and the canucks fix their deffence problems for this season.
It's win win
While it's a good idea, I just don't see it happening
They will need to trade 2 or 3 Bottom 6 Guys...Suter, Hoglander and one more or Heinen and Suter and one more to get Larson back
Larson makes $4 Mill a year
That won't happen
@@conservativeamber1216 2.5mil In poolman ltir plus aman pdg or juulsen and that's just over 4mil easy
@@omfg322 Larsson isn't the type of player we need on the second pairing. A 1st, 4th, and two roster players for Larsson as a rental is borderline retarded.
The new kuzmenko even the old kuzemenko wasnt even that good of a player wtf are you talking about?
