The latest MothershipVI MidnightSun palette by Pat McGrath labs is a Fall-themed rust/ochre palette with a shot of vibrant cornflower blue-violet. Considering the high pricetag, this isn't something to just blind-buy, so here are 2 looks to show how the colors and textures work!
I am so happy I stumbled upon your channel after searching for an in-depth review of this palette. And yours is one of the best reviews I've seen, the way you describe the details of the palette combined with you calm and eloquent presence is simply wonderful.
Thank you!! I want to check the palette’s versatility if time allows (cos there are some where we will combine different shades but still end up with very similar looks all the time LOL). And with a palette that’s this expensive, I better try on every single color so you guys can see if you like it hahaha!!
Wow gorgeous shades and looks! I would definitely buy something like that at least once in my lifetime. Just to experience the luxuriousness of a high end palette lol.
You can maybe start with one of her 4-pan shadow palettes! Those are pretty and a good way to try out the formulas without splashing out on a huge 10-pan palette first.
Stunning looks & I love the way you spoke about these palettes & mother pat ! Very eloquently stated ! I own 4 mothership palettes & several of her smaller 6 pan palettes & I just got all three of her newly released blitz astral quads for holiday 2019 (also stunning) ... theses palettes aren’t for everyone but I truly love & enjoy them very much ! Xoxo
I'm still hemming and hawing over the Motherships... and you're tempting me with the 4-pans now too hahahahahahah. They almost feel like collectibles for some reason.
Thanks Brittany!! I was using both the H&M medium shader (it's a fave; super cheap and works great for packing on pigmented shadows) and a Marc Jacobs crease brush the second day! I think I mislabeled the Day 1 brush at the start LOL.
I'm eyeing a few of those and trying to wait and see if there are any upcoming sales hahahahah!!! Her stuff is so expensive that I need to "strategize" a bit.
I just found your channel from this review and I love your review! You are so clear and informative, and absolutely beautiful. I haven't looked around but if you don't have one can you do a skincare routine/favorite products video? Totally subscribing
Hello Ash, thank you so much!! I am planning to do a Fall/October faves video soon with skincare and products I'm loving, but don't have one yet with a "consolidated" list since I keep testing and changing things hahahaha. But you just gave me the idea to do a "Products that Stood The Test of Time" video... things I keep going back to!
Makeup Box that’s a great video idea! I’d be happy to watch that. I know what you mean though, I’m constantly trying new skincare and makeup but I do have some tried and true favorites that i go back to when my skin starts freaking out (like when i was trying the moisturizer from Amore Pacific) ;(
What beautiful looks!! By the way, I am so glad I found your channel, I’ve been following your Instagram for awhile now since you posted your ombre look with the ND Lila palette! Would you consider recreating it on video?
Welcome to the channel Kayla!! I'd be happy to! But let me try and think what look it was... was it recent and was it on IG Story?? Silly me is struggling to remember which colors I might have used LOL. I can't seem to recall posting a look with that purple palette in awhile. If I can remember (or if you can jog my memory) I will.
Makeup Box it was not recent, it was right after the palette launched two years ago (time flies!) and I remember looking for inspiration on IG and your look has always stuck out to me!! Thanks for replying :)
@@kaylarenee7032 I think I can recreate that look soon hahaha. www.makeup-box.com/post/165360520243/natasha-denona-lila-palette-first-look I am kinda in a magenta-purple phase right now so I was planning to pull out that palette anyway! I might do a quick'n'easy vid on IGTV for this since it's quicker to edit and usually isn't as long or chatty as a RUclips video. Stay posted!
Love the eye looks you did!! I have all of Pat McGraft eye shadow palettes and I really enjoy them. Some of my favorites are Bronze Temptation, Bronze Seduction, Mothership 1&2 and Subversive La Vie en Rose. I get along well with her formula and find them easy to work with.
OMG you are tempting me Denise!! I will keep walking past the display at Sephora and dabbing the dark emerald green... the deep sapphire blue and that gorgeous Red... those contrast shades in each of her palettes LOL. I'm kinda thinking of which one to get next but I don't know yet. I might spring for one of the new Blitz Astral quads. Still got a little time to think about it now that it's almost holiday (shopping) season!
Hi Kemela, in the first look that was a Zoeva Cat Eye Pen! It doesn't make me tear up, so I find it stays relatively well on my waterline. That's the only issue usually; otherwise liquid liners don't break down too quickly on the waterline as there isn't much oil there. If you've tried other liquids and they've not stayed well, the most hardcore option may be to invest in an Inglot Duraline, plus a pot gel liner. You add a drop of Duraline into the gel liner, mix it and apply, and that tends to be the most resistant once it dries down.
I know right??? It's more plummy and feminine I think. There is always one core color theme to each palette (if you hide the odd shade out). This one is rust-brown and that one is definitely plum/violet, which is super pretty.

Thanks for another great tutorial. I appreciate the fact that you strive to show more than one look for each palette or new line/collection.

Makeup Box I bought it after watching your review. It will be my first large PMGL palette and I really like the color story. Thanks

I love the second look you created and the lip color is great.
Thank you so much Audery!!
I love, love, love pat McGrath!!!
She's the greatest....
Beautiful look! I’m mesmerized by the brush you used for the lid colors. It works perfectly with her formula.

I'm so tempted to buy one of her new 4-pan palettes (I don't have anything from her brand yet), hope you do a review on those too!!

Hi. What was the liquid eyeliner you used? Does it stay in your waterline?
