Tim, at last someone has explained simply and clearly why use single point focus and actually how to do it. Thank you and bravo.

Tim, as I was viewing I kept hoping that you would have included Back Focus button in your presentation which I have set on my D850 as you recommended. So, the question is; How and where do I focus having the back focus button on my camera set? Of coarse I can use Focus Stacking! But with that aside where do I focus and what’s the PROCEDURE ?

I just signed up for it a few days ago. So far... so much better insight and perspective than I was using before.

I knew of this process, but thought everything in the pic would be in focus. Thank you for explaining this in a way I understood.

There many focusing points like 3d focusing automatic focusing a little dot where you pick. There another focusing like a square. Single only one you can move it where you want it.

Just bought your class. One thing I would like to know is what kind of camera I should buy that you would be teaching with. Also the software I should buy.

I use hyperfocal distance a lot in landscape photography.

Will you in the future include tutorials or presets for Affinity Photo?

What are the free apps available on my computer to help me find amazing places. What app is available for cell phones that can help find amazing places and times to get the great shots?

I thought the video was a tutorial of how to select the best focus point. This is more like “how to select focus point” I expected something like how to pick the focus point in such landscape scenario for the best result.

Here's what I don't like. You bait us with the title "what to focus on". You then spend 3 measly minutes talking about two focus modes. Then, to my disappointment, instead of teaching us where you actually focused, you take us into a home office to talk about your half way press and hold "method" which is just a fancy way of saying focus and recompose (listen to how you almost said it at the 3:49 mark). Most insulting of all you waste the last 3 1/2 minutes of our time shamelessly plugging your "master" course. Never a mention of focusing 1/3 of the way in to the frame, Hyper Focal distance, aperture, nothing. It comes off as disengenuous and cheap. If you want to grow your channel, you sir, certainly have some work to do. I'll stick around because I think you're great at landscape photography but leave the cheap sales tactics out of it. Be a sincere teacher and the subscribers will follow.

Ditto, can have good content, but he is SO focused on making money! Glad he wants to make a living, but be honest about how you do things. Too much bait & switch for my taste.

Alex, were you expecting something different? You ever been to a photo expo? Any photo seminars? You think they're giving away detailed techniques for free? Tim is a businessman, that's what he does. Stop expecting free, free, free. You're not paying for what he does, you're paying for what he knows... in depth! buck up!

Why not just move the single focal point to NSEW. It is much easier than what you presented, I do it all the time.
