Visit, visit, visit because I went to The Gambia and I didn’t do fancy excursions but I asked to see the people and places and how they survive. It’s hot and they still struggle. They are very happy with little to nothing and my heart was touched by everyone I encountered. It’s very wrong how they survive but your life will be changed beyond your studies. Also, to me it’s beautiful and humbling.

Darius what an interesting conversation. My family lived in Kenya from 1972-75. The wages for people who were domestic workers was very cheap. We had a full time housekeeper/cook and yard man that lived and worked at our residence. They were men and went home on the weekends. The laws should be changed and the idea that the women are giving more quality time to serve others instead of their children is heartbreaking. Be safe and may God continue to bless you and your family.
It's very true what u are talking about the culture and all that. I live in Florida and desantis removed a lot of cultural history books and it's just sad. This is what made our country. People talk like it's so great but untill we honor and include everybody that comes with this country we not it.

A lot of foods & drinks sold in the U.S. are sold in other countries but they just don’t have harmful chemicals. Just because Asians are smaller / skinny doesn’t mean they’re healthy they suffer with gout (a form of arthritis). I believe the processed foods we eat in our younger years will affect us in our older years.
Sorry to keep commenting, they are huge on family and they will be taken care of , I was in West Africa but they share everything. I’m not commenting more but my experience was 2022 to 2023 and these things need to be heard. They have good jobs only getting paid once a month, they share bathroom facilities in compounds, most people don’t have cars, and they work very hard for very little. The women are very strong and walk to sell fruits and nuts even with the children on their backs. It’s real and it’s now. All I can say is we are blessed and we are ungrateful for the little things. They just love ❤️ without knowing you or asking for anything. It’s a beautiful thing. Social media is a joke in some aspects but if you listen to the people it’s real.
