    Although this was my favourite druid build and what I wanted to go for first. Considering my version requires 3 uniques, Greatstaff of the Crone, Tempest Roar and Temerity. @4:12 I have a bad news for you, Hurricane has a "per cast" procing at least what github's character builder says. They have calculated that Hurricane has Lucky Hit Chance of 21.48, per use. To add, @11:09 Yes but no. Yes your storm skills with this build are WW skills, but that shouldn't mean that your storm skills are now also shapeshifting skills cause they don't shapeshift you, they get all the bonuses from + to WW skills, but cause they don't shapeshift you to anything, so they shouldn't be considered under Shapeshifting skill sub, and/or if they do, the wording could have made better. But fantastic build once again, keep up the good work!

    Excellent build. Farming two uniques for a build may turn out to be a monumental quest but the reward will be that much more worth it when you do.
    Everyone wants to know what the unique drop rates will be like and I want to know if they're total rng or your class influences it's outcome. For example, I farmed skele dungeons specifically for crossbows during the server slam to see how items dropped. I first farmed them with a sorcerer and got a crossbow about every other dungeon run, then farmed them with a rogue and was getting one or two a run.
    I'm curious if this is how the uniques will drop in D4 or will they be complete rng like D3.

      Tornado is a hit

  • @meritbrevity
    @meritbrevity Год назад

    The main issue I see is this build actually procing Earthen Might. Tornado lucky hit at best a crit hit is 0.008 and at worst is 0.004. You might go an entire dungeon and never proc Earthen Might.

    • @carthh_
      @carthh_  Год назад

      Something you need to keep in mind is that Tornado has a lower lucky hit rate because it hits many times. Each individual hit on every single mob has a chance to proc lucky hit with Tornado

    • @meritbrevity
      @meritbrevity Год назад

      @Carthh Assuming a single tornado hits 100 times, which it doesn't, and you cast 5 times each, which you dont have enough spirit to cast 5 times, and they are all double casts that's 1,000 hits. At a rate of .012 with a crit, you might get 12 triggers of the lucky hit. It is far more likely you will not trigger the Earthen Might, and you will be out of spirit.
      A tornado getting 10 hits is more realistic. So, with 5 tornados, 1 free with the 20% peoc, is 60 hits and a 4/1000 lucky hit chance base of procing, it is not likely to happen.
      I really hope it works, but the lucky hit is so bad.
      8% tornado 5%Earthen Might
      4 in a 1000 hits to proc.
      Best case:
      8% x (5%+10%crit+10%cc)
      = 2% proc rate
      With a crit, you have a little over 1% proc chance.
      When it happens, it'll feel great for sure. It just is not going to happen consistently.

      @carthh_  Год назад

      A lot of math has been done on this subject, here is a spreadsheet breaking down how a lot of the build functions: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bsGs0SdeFAd9G6kAwPMo39Kjor-g-4yLNoaWtl-lnYM/edit#gid=1932974547

    • @meritbrevity
      @meritbrevity Год назад

      @Carthh I think everything about the build looks solid except the ability to proc Earthen Might. Tornado has a horrid lucky hit chance. Druids have the worst + to lucky hit out of all classes. And even in your stats, there is nothing to buff the lucky hit.
      I hope I am wrong. I know from testing things with a lucky hit under 5% didn't not go off, not even once in the span of a dungeon. A good example of this is frozen orb 4% lucky hit x15% lucky hit node and the meteor enchantment 8%. 0.00368 a little lower than your 0.004.

    • @iamtheone91
      @iamtheone91 Год назад +1

      People have already done the math (spreadsheet) and the conclusion is that you should easily be able to keep it up on multitarget and probably to some degree single target. We might need 1h and offhand to have enough uptime on EM for st, but that’s about it.
      8% lucky hit for tornado is actually quite good if you understand how the skill functions.

      @@EvgGaar I don't think this is what they mean. Take a look at Vasiliy's prayer (the earth version) The wording is " Your earth skills are now also werebear skills and fortify you for X". Why not say this same thing but for storm Helm version.. I think the devs put that base (probably meant basic) in order for you to only use the Basic skills for this.

    This build will not be able to work as intended I am 99% sure. Also, considering it requires a specific unique 90% of players which try to go for it will not be even able to run it.

      Which part do you think will not work as intended? It is also marked as endgame build because it requires uniques to activate

    • @comanche1090
      @comanche1090 Год назад +3

      The part with skills on a skill bar. I got the Dire Wolf aspect during the first open beta. The game was literally forcing me to use every single werewolf skill that exists, except for ultimate, while completely reseting my skill bar.
      Also, I am not even sure that the unique helm will be making every single storm skill, but the ultimate one, into werewolf skills. The choice of words in description is weird because it says "storm base skills" and that description is closer to 2 storm basic skills than every non-ultimate storm skill. For example, in the description of the Symbiotic Aspect it clearly says "every non ultimate skill".
      On top of all of that, this build is squishy as hell. I am pretty sure people are neglecting defense way to much and are hardly thinking about trying to stay alive in the end game content. Everyone is pushing towards highest possible ammount of damage and this build is doing the same. Healing will not be enough and wont cut it, especially not on bosses where you will not be able to heal from kills.
      And, whether we liked it or not, that helm will drop for just a tiny percentage of people that will try to make this build. It is an end game build but it can be end game build only for those lucky enough to get the helm and not many will be.

    • @Southpaw17
      @Southpaw17 Год назад +2

      This build passively gains fortify per second from the ult, and temerity has a lucky hit to heal and you heal on crit. All that healing gets converted into barrier increasing your max hp and resistance to one shots, and Fortify DR applies even to damage taken against barrier.
      How is this build (assuming the interactions work as described in the video) NOT tanky af?

    • @comanche1090
      @comanche1090 Год назад +1

      @@Southpaw17 Neither you or me have clue what the end game bosses in this game will be like. If you think this build is tanky af idk what would you think about builds that are truly tanky af. Its possible to make a pure werewolf build which is tankier than this one and pure werewolf druids are not even considered as tanky. Again, maybe this will be enough but maybe it will not. I am not claiming anything. I am just stating what might happen.
      Edit : p.s. Your main def (barrier) is dependant on 2nd unique which you must get. And even gettin helm alone will be hard.

      I would not assume its just for "basic" attack storm skills. My guess is prevents Greatstaff of the Crone being also a Werewolf skill (the staff turns Claw into a Storm Skill i.e. not "also a storm skill") meaning Claw is now purely a Storm skill but not a base Storm skill.

      That is the build. Some builds require uniques, some don’t. If you don’t have the unique, there are other builds to play.
