Oh I have goosebumps. The music, the scenery, the countryside, the riverside houses - stunning. Another delightful treat and a pleasure to watch. Superbly filmed. Thank you so much. Xx
Another great episode, beautiful scenery. The music is really well chosen too. Love seeing the chemistry between you two, even the lovey-dovey bits! 😂👍
What a wonderful trip your having. Being sensitive to past deaths, especially children makes us appreciate life and how lucky we are, our ancestors survived - or we would not be here. So never call yourself silly, Julia. I’m in waiting for a delivery and would rather be out, so watching this has made me happy.
Hi Richard & Julia, so wonderfully enjoyable to watch! I loved the view @10:15 going under the bridge...picture worthy! This is such a well put together video, the views, the music & of course the lovely couple! Loved spending time with you both! Thank you so much for sharing, take really good care of each other, stay well! Lots of love Kathy x 💖
My girlfriend and I did the boat life on the Thames for a year or so on our boat and it's good to watch you too doing it now watching in winter Thanks Scott and Ann
You mentioned Dorchester. Back in the early 70s, we discovered we had a leak in the cabin roof and as it was threatening rain, we took our little boat up the Thame to the bridge at the edge of Dorchester village. Being as far as you could go, we tied up underneath it for the night.
Hello you two, beautiful England 🏴 what could be better, than waking up to the views. Breakfast 🥣 on board. Well done, beautiful filming. Lovely couple, bless you both xx
I wondered what part of the Thames you were going down, then you mentioned Dorchester. Had a lovely weeks holiday there a couple of years ago. The other half is a Midsomer Murders nut, so went round some of the filming locations. Really lovely countryside. Had a run down to the Thames from Dorchester so many rich boats! You are very lucky to have so many generous people who support the channel. Well deserved.
Another great river episode, with The Lovely Julia having taken to piloting the boat like a duck to water! (pun intended). Wallingford looked really interesting and well worth a visit. Its also nice to see some of the wildlife on the river too. It is obvious only the very affluent can afford a riverside home, and not without its risks of occasional flooding in some parts, as I understand it. I hope there is another episode on the way, its a real pleasure sharing this particular adventure!
Lovely to see Wallingford, a very quintessentially old English town I've visited a couple of times. I could be wrong, but I got the impression that it's a town largely inhabited by locals as opposed to interlopers. It reminds me a little of Petersfield which is another of my favourite towns to visit. Can't wait to see Goring. I worked on the Lock there often around 2007/2008 and frequented every one of their fine hostelries.
I have more footage of Wallingford exploration which might end up as a special feature later on - I just couldn't fit it all in to the 30 minute episode.
@@RichardVobes If you're ever up in the Cotswolds, try Burford. I spent part of my honeymoon there in the Bull Inn. Lovely old town with the most remarkable church inside and out. Don't know why I mentioned it but there you go! 😁
It's like watching a series on TV. Beautiful filming and music as always. These episodes are so enjoyable, can't wait for the next one. Boat life is appealing to me very much 🥰
@@RichardVobes yippeee will be great to see the next episode. You’ve been working hard 🥰 and it shows. They are great Richard. What a lovely gift from Ed
I am loving these videos. Julia steering the boat brings back many happy memories when i used to steer the boat on boating holidays many years ago. You and Julia make a lovely couple. Thank you for making these videos.
Another beautiful installment of the Thames and those lovely traditional pubs you saw are in danger of closing down too, just like the rest of them. So glad that both of you are making the most of this way of life, filming and documenting it for future nostalga. We are going to lose it all soon and thanks for providing all of us with something to look back on with all of your videos.
I was visiting a friend only this time last year. We took Kayaks from Benson and went pretty much all the way up to just past Shillingford and back. Lovely to see it again. Beautiful place and countryside. We also cycled to some lovely villages around the area. Rowan Atkinson's house was around there. There was a Lord mayor procession in Wallingford the day I arrived. He's the guy who used to play Julian in the 70's Famous Five tv series.
loving all the love you two have for each other and some great footage of the thames as well me and my husband hired a boat on the thames for our honeymoon x
Great video, which brought back memories of walking from Wallingford to Shillingford, along a delightful tree-lined road, and discovering that beautiful, almost other-worldly, riverside boathouse. How I envy you, not having a marvellous river cruiser at my disposal!
Your videos NEVER EVER FAIL to bring excitement to your viewers and AGAIN another fantastic video I have been eagerly awaiting this part two and AGAIN fantastic views and music and lovely to see all the other boats along the river ABSOLUTELY SO ENJOYABLE TO WATCH
I have explored this stretch on a boat myself several years ago...but coming up from Reading rather than down, terriffic time had by all. Lovely footage, thank you.
Bloody fantastic! And I love that you and the lovely Julia are together and it only enhances the videos even more ❤️❤️❤️ Perfect couple if ever I’ve seen one xxx keep up the excellent work !
Wonderful relaxing way to spend time. I like the look of Wallingford, right up our street. Talking of John Nettles, not a million miles away is the gorgeous, stunning even, English country village of Turville. Often use for Summer Murders, it is the filming location for the Vicar of Dibley, and the wonderful film Goodnight Mister Tom. Additionally the windmill at the top of the hill is the one featured in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
I was in Bradford Upon Avon last Sunday and even by 7pm the traffic through the centre was constant, especially over the bridge. A lot of lovely small towns are compromised by heavy, loud traffic that can create an anxious, annoyed edge when exploring. Wonderful video, keep them coming!
Famous Wallingford residents: Agatha Christie - lived in Winterbrook House & Marcus Harris who was Mayor Of Wallingford and also the actor who played Julian Kirrin the 1970's TV Famous Five adaptation.
An amazingly polished film, everything about it was beautiful,I loved your clothes, climbing on the tree...it was like the good old past years of the bbc...

Another interesting video - Wallingford looked lovely. Do Pearsons or Nicholson do a guide for the Thames like they do for canals as that it would have been useful for the moorings?
Absolutely beautiful video you have me on my edge waiting for your next release, wonderful music as well I especially enjoyed the music piece that ended the video 👍
A beautifully crafted video. Dorchester is a beautiful place lying under Wittenham Clumps, where the Poem Tree stood, if you remember my video from way back when.

In the meantime we're enjoying your cruise right along with you. Julia, cheers to lady pilots. I'd be doing the same if I had the chance. 😎
I'd love to see you two get out on the ocean. Much as I love the Thames, (I took a 40' cruiser all the way up to Lechlade in the summer of '76.
