I bought a wool hooded pullover jacket a few years ago at a Goodwill seemed like it was brand new and obviously hand made out of a Hudson Bay striped blanket, black and greenvery warm fits perfect bought it for $10
You'd think with the $300+ price tag they ask for these, they'd use something better than a $10 surplus blanket. There's extremely high end Alpaca wool Anoraks for half this price; which is ironically the most likely candidate for the NZ baby blanket. Alpaca wool is preferred in NZ and is infinitely superior to sheep's wool; literally 2x-3x the insulation property. It looks like high quality craftsmanship regardless. I just irritates me seeing some of these mom and pop shops take advantage of their targeted demographic under the guise, " We're the little guy." The most common "little guy" product I see on Etsy is vintage park ranger button ups. Ironically just so happens to be this brands most expensive product at $350.. They can be found at virtually any 2nd had store for a few bucks. I own dozens
Can you point me toward this alpaca wool anorak you mentioned? I have an alpaca wool blanket and I love it. I want one of these anoraks but I just can't stomach paying $300+ for a cheap US military wool blanket.
How long do you think it took to Cut and Sew this? .... This would be ON-Par for Hand-made. Maybe you are just cheap and do not values others Hard Work and Ingenuity, prolly own a $1400 iPhone...
@@mysticmeadowshomestead6209 I don't know what lanolin mean but I doubt it. I never had issues with any fabrics especially different wools so, I'm saying it's about genetics and your skin and what have you. Some people can't stand to inhale when the wool I've been wearing is present

I, too, would like to know where to find a $150ish alpaca wool anorak.

I love this nice work reminds me of Robin Hood did you make it your self
I remember those US Army wool blankets. They were massively ITCHY!
Yes they were bro
Im guessing it's all about your genetics. Some people find sun light itchy, you know.
@@teemuholopainen4745 I'm guessing it was the lanolin. Once wool blends were a thing, the blankets stopped itching.

I suspect that these shirts are made from new Reproduction US Army blankets and maybe 90/10 blend
Nice!
Thanks Sir
The Boreal Mountain Anoraks Loden anorak is far superior.
Looks great but I would agree. Way overpriced. I'd struggle with paying $100.
probably from a sheep😂😂
