@@JamietheEmperor In a nutshell, Weezer is a really odd band when it comes to their fanbase. At their best, Weezer has a deeply written, well produced, and super rockin discography that take you away to an almost fictional world where you become immersed in the music. Their best songs and projects can make you reflect on happiness, depression, regret, and have awe at the complexity of life and people. Despite such records, Weezer has also released some very mediocre songs and projects. So mediocre in fact, that they are either boring, a copy and paste of old sounds, or so poorly dissociated from the sound and style of Weezer, that it loses the spark of what makes the band so good. For these reasons, a lot of Weezer fans have a love hate relationship. They love Weezer for showcasing, exemplifying, and modernizing the way angst, emotion, and storytelling is done in rock, but also hate the band because when they release a bad album, its such a disappointment because the fans know Weezer could have done so much better, and they chose not to.
