When I was a small kid, we had a cassette of his songs. My father exposed me to all wonderful ghazals by Sir Ghulam Ali and Sir Mehdi Hasan and the like. Ever since I was four I have heard these songs and Meri Ruh mein utar gayi hai ye sensibility. I can appreciate this fully, mere bachpan ki yaadein insab mein hain. My father is no more, but I am so glad that his favourite music is my favourite music too. He made sure I don’t miss this treasure!

Ustad Mani Bhardwaj Ji is a most renowned tabla player and ha played for every famous ghazal singer. I am also a singer of various genres so I must have a good ear of balance to succeed with my own vocals. :-) Peace
