I’d probably put Alice In Chains there because they were hilarious and always joking around but their music was some of the darkest most depressing ever. TON would be #2 on that list tho
"I don't feel anything... I don't need anything... I don't need love" I can't explain with words what Peter felt when he wrote that song... I feel it and in my mind I know what it is but I can't explain it... It's like "that man had his heart broken!"
This song & World Coming Down are my fav Type O songs! But they have so many great song though. But Anesthesia speaks to me big time. I love the intro & groove of this song!
Same here along with I don’t wanna be me, everyone I love is dead, and lastly Iydkmigthtky. Those are most top 5 TON songs in to particular order, really hard to choose just 2 or even 5 because they have so much good music
This was my first of two Type O shows, and will always stand out as top five best sets I've seen a band do. Maybe it was just because of the excitement of seeing them for the first time, but these videos really don't lie. They ruled that night.
i heard that cwluba. i live in 'ville too. i saw t.o.n. WAAAY back in '95 at the palace when they opened up for motley crue. i had only heard christian woman on the radio once, and i thought it was freakn' awesome.when i heard they were gonna be here with crue, i went just to see them, then i saw them again in milwaukee in 97 right after october rust came out. peter steele's last line he said to the crowd was "if your gonna drink and drive...make sure you run over somebody you hate." i love it
I got "Take someone you hate with you", at La Villa Real aka: The Nipple-Dome, in Mission TX. The 8th and final time I got to see TON. Damn I miss this fucking band. E=WF2
2002? 2005? Type O put out their first album in 1991. I first got into them after hearing Christian Woman from Bloody Kisses in 1993. Where have you people been?
"Like a flash of light in an endless night life is trapped between two black entities" Considering the context, I'm pretty sure it's talking about life or existence. Life is the flash of light in an endless night of what I assume is nonexistence before birth and after death. The nonexistence before birth and the nonexistence after death seem to be the two black entities
The lead guitarist really puts his soul into their art.
the most serious band, that doesn't take themselves serious.
👍

🤟👍🙏👌👌👌👆❤️
@@puppetmaster8551 Matanza is even more "non serious" than Alice in Chains.
"I'd rather not care than to be aware - be scared."
Definetly my favorite TON song.
love

I think the lyrics also can refer to cocaine addiction. Like cocaine being his lover or something like that.
Impending despair?
'longing for the past/ and dreading the future'... DEFINITELY my real world.

You are a man of luck!
I like that detail of using a metal chain as a strap for guittar (or bass)
This is pure artistry. RIP Peter.
Excellent live version here.
Pete put his life and soul into his performances, It's sad he had to go so young. Rest in peace, the green man 💚🖤
A true masterpiece
Nice upload. Thank you 🖤💚🖤
Thanks for this... great song! Great Voice!
this song rates up there with some of the best from October Rust my personal favorite Type O cd.
Anyone else notice that Peter is playing the theme to "The Shining" in the beginning?
Ohh yes indeed ☺
I did not...so thank you

I saw Type O open for NIN in 94. I had been a fan of them like you when I heard Christian Woman when Bloody Kisses was released.

@elric101 Life and death?
(U) I DON´T NEED LOVE!
3:00-3:12... Pete says im thirsty...then slugs back red wine directly from the bottle. His trademark that earmarked his eventual demise.
I SHOULDVE BEEN HERE ON CRACK
Ahahah! :D
Type O Negtative?
um sorry for sounding silly and don't get me wrong, this song is too amazing for words, as were TON. what are the two black entities?
