Great video. I bought a 3a XL thinking "why not" for the price. I love it! I came from a oneplus (which I love) and find myself just using my 3a XL. The Pixel experience is so enjoyable on this device. Yes I wish there was more storage but it doesn't pull me away from using it.
I've had the pixel 3a since it came out, and I've got to say it's been a great phone, major upgrade from my past phones! (iPhone6, S7, iPhone8) I've experienced no lag or problems with starting the camera or video! Regarding battery I've gotten about 6 and a half hours of light to moderate use! About 4 and a half of heavy use using RUclips, music, games and social media. For $400 (now $349) I think it's a great deal! Won't upgrade to pixel 4 until they put a bigger battery and fix some things.. 😂 Rather have an s10 or iPhone 11...

I've been fishing around for a very good backup to my s10+. This is definitely it. For myself the camera alone is worth the 399.00. No other mid-ranger has this fantasic camera. Plus a few goodies, stock android, the 3.5, OLED display & stereo speakers. Yep, well worth the price, great review!
First things first: to me you're the best among the best in this RUclips smartphone coverage. In video, audio, text, edition etc. Always a pleasure to watch your content. I think this phone is perfect IF you intend on changing phones in a year or two. The slower specs out of the box might not bother most right away, but after real life usage, over time, I suspect this phone will get outrageously slow. I'd say if you can shell out just a little more and live with not-the-best-camera-in-a-phone, you can get a lot more LONG TERM value for 550$ with the OnePlus 6T or last years now discounted flagships, like the S9. This is really only an option if your budget is very limited and you care about camera quality.
I know people who buy $1k phones and switch them yearly. Switching /buying a newer one from a $300 phone after 1 year isn't as heartbreaking or irresponsible. I actually felt wasteful and irresponsible for owning an iphone X for a month. That little thing in the back of my mind kept saying, this phone is overpriced and if I brake it, I'm gonna be very sorry!
I had a Nextbit Robin that had the Snapdragon 808, which was a step down from the 810. The 670 is in a similar bracket. It still was a smooth operator, and o think the 670 should perform ok as well. Especially with good Google software support
It runs stock Android and gets monthly updates. It's not like other Android phones who shovel a ton of crapware and skin on top and then never touch it again. The software has been optimized. How else to do think the Pixel 1 can still run Android 10 seamlessly all these years later (with the exception of battery life but that's to be expected on ANY phone after 5 years).
I'm not worried about that. My OnePlus One still performs well enough that I could use it everyday if I wanted. Pixel 3a has much better battery and camera, though, plus a fingerprint sensor for security, so that's what I'm using now. A phone doesn't usually become unable after a few years. The 600 series processors are really good.

I've had my 3a since July 2019 - I call it "America's Pixel" because it is sanely priced. It is unlockable by default - regardless of carrier. Android - either 9 OR 10 - is utterly dead-stock. The display is AMOLED and supports HDR - by default. I don't need wireless charging. Still, it has the fastest WIRED charger I have ever used - period. Even compared to Samsung. Right now, I'm running Havoc OS 3.1 "Unofficial" for the 3a, and I'm comparing it to stock Android 10 (so you don't need to abandon non-stock if your favorite ROM supports the 3a). Non-stock launchers aren't neglected, either; I'm still running Microsoft Launcher 6 (as I was on stock Android 10).
I ordered a Pixel 3a today. I'm upgrading from a Galaxy Note 5 that I've been using for the past 3 and a half years. It's been a great phone but the battery is about to bite the dust. I figure this is the best time to try a mid-ranger.
The only reason I wouldn't buy a 3A and instead use the S10e is because I need the power for emulation projects and lagless split screen. Both of which need a minimum of 4GB of RAM and a SD 845 or higher (855 in this case) Other than that, most casual users would be fine with the SD670.
Hey Mr Mobile ! Might want to think about revisiting this as the 3A just went on sale for $120 off ! $279 for the 64GB 3A, just grabbed one and a set of pixel buds. I know the 4a is coming hopefully now in June, however as an iphone user this is the perfect opportunity to try it out for cheap money. I always watch your reviews. Keep them coming
I love how Mr Mobile understands his users needs. Trims away all the finish and keeps the core quality when advertising for users who want a good phone that prioritises function over form.

Ever since using the SD625 and the Moto Z Play, I stopped caring as much about the processor. But also since using the Moto Z Play, I stopped caring as much about image quality too. I find it's something reviewers over emphasize - it's only one app of many!
I talk to a lot of normal (i.e., non-tech) people about phones. Four out of five of them care about the camera and battery life more than anything else.
@@TheMrMobile I just wish there was a better way to compare battery life. That's my number one and while the Moto Z Play performed, the Huawei p20 pro is underperforming. 🙃 Thx for the reply & stay mobile!
I got a Nokia 6.1, battery life is great on the Snapdragon 630, performance respective. But I do wish for a little more oomph and better camera. When this phone wears out, in getting the 4a or 5a, whatever it will be
I bought the Pixel 3a a few weeks ago and love it. Why did I buy it? The price and the camera! It's a GREAT value. I don't care about a glass back, the latest processor, and wireless charging. So I agree with the trade-offs Google made in order to make the phone affordable, while NOT compromising on the camera, which is crucial to me. So I agree 100% with MrMobile -- thanks for your review and keep up the great work that you do!

I will say this again.... from the release of snapdragon 660, midrange changed.... nowadays mid range & flagship is not so big differences even during heavy usage.... I used google maps continuously in a sd660 phone, it gave me same fluent performance as the flagship chips... which is unbelievable even for 1yr ago standard... nowadays midrange chips came a long way....

Google has proven it's possible to offer a stellar camera at almost any price tier. This is a bold move, it will be interesting to see if the rest of the industry follows
I have the Note 10. I just purchased the Pixel 3a XL for $359 signing up for Google Fi! At that price I can keep the Note and enjoy all the features of Fi with the Pixel. The money I am saving from switching from T-Mobile will easily pay for the phone. I had the first Pixel when it came out and I loved it! Can't wait for that crispy camera, plugging my mic into the headphone jack (and my nice headphones), and to see how the 3a compares to the Note 10. I appreciate your videos Michael! Oh and cool first name.
It's tough with this one and some other manufactures as well. Google releases Pixel 3a and 3a xl half a year later at $399 but on Ebay you can get a regular 3 possibly a 3xl for $399 most likely brand new. I got my S10 new on Ebay for $650 about a month after release. The best thing to do is to release all the models at the same time, so there will be a price gap everywhere. Yea some people rather get there phones directly from the carrier or manufactures website, and then OK the price gap will be there no matter what but when you find out you can get the higher end model for much cheaper on 3rd party sites, you realize that you should have gotten it there.
@@RelyingWOrld1 I have the 3a and had the regular 3 for a while. Even side by side, the difference in performance for almost all tasks was nearly unnoticeable. 600 series are really good processors and you get much better battery life.

Other than that, most casual users would be fine with the SD670.
Your best video till date. Just love how you mix things and make connection.
I love how Mr Mobile understands his users needs. Trims away all the finish and keeps the core quality when advertising for users who want a good phone that prioritises function over form.
Another brilliant video ❤❤ Love Form Pakistan
I have lost touch with your reviews lately but you don’t realize how amazing your videos are until you have been lost in RUclipsr world. Great review and thanks for showing a phone that isn’t a glass fragile sandwich. Oh it would be so nice to have a phone you didn’t have to constantly worry about breaking. 🙏
When this phone wears out, in getting the 4a or 5a, whatever it will be
@@deansmits006 might as well just sell it now and get a 3a with the proceeds
I bought the Pixel 3a a few weeks ago and love it. Why did I buy it? The price and the camera! It's a GREAT value. I don't care about a glass back, the latest processor, and wireless charging. So I agree with the trade-offs Google made in order to make the phone affordable, while NOT compromising on the camera, which is crucial to me. So I agree 100% with MrMobile -- thanks for your review and keep up the great work that you do!
Why aren’t his subscribers increasing? He and mrwhosetheboss are the best on youtube i think hands down.
MrWhoseTheBoss is an awful channel, he has a strange fascination with obscure chinese phones with horrible levels of bloat and suggesting they're the best phones on the market despite mediatek. That and he's pretty much Huawei's puppet
Benn well i think that he is you know reviewing fones which an ordinary man could buy because not everyone can buy a 1000 dollar plus fone. Everyone has his own views but I think his style is very good
No Mr Who's the boss was ok but has just gotten worse with being facinated by Huawei.....
Your voice is love...i dont need caption its so clear.
Nice job Michael. This is also the best phone you can buy for $650 in Australia. Well played Google
S9 $600-$700 anyone?
Michael @mr.mobile that's the pixel 3a review I've seen and my personal favorite out of your videos ! Cheers
Agree completely man. Love the video thanks for what you do
You included a Futurama reference, I like Futurama references.
MrMobile is to Iron Man as Michael Fisher is to Tony Stark! MrMobile has that charisma that I haven’t found in any RUclipsr period. ;)
If RUclipsrs were to ever play in the Avengers, then MrMobilie would most probably be the Iron Man
He was a RDJ look a like be RUclips
In love with how it feels in hand, beyond comfortable coming from phones with 6in+ screens in my past. Going case-less but with a screen protector on my Pixel 3a
Excellent camera, headphone jack, smoked screen, 3 years of update,Take my money!
The content quality is top notch as always. Love your work Michael. Sad that this channel doesn't have many subscribers not that this channel needs but the subscribers need this channel. ❤️ From India
Picked up a Slickwraps Skin
Sir, you are becoming one of my tech channel favorites. Great quality. Cheers!
Sadly it's expensive af in here. Starts around $550
Where are you from? Indo or malay?

Google has proven it's possible to offer a stellar camera at almost any price tier. This is a bold move, it will be interesting to see if the rest of the industry follows
Nobody else can seem to match them on the software side of the camera yet.
Oh how I miss having a headphone jack 🙌🏽
Even though I would never buy a pixel as I’m team Iphone all the way , I enjoy watching “tech porn “ that you produce , bro. Keep it up
Awesome video
"I love it... and I think you will too"
Apple fans: :O
Patrick Bushnell I’m an Apple fan, but if I had the extra cash to get a secondary android device, I’d get this one 👍
0:18 I had to check if he actually said Tech P*rn but he did. 💔
He also said "boner", lol
Check the mrwhosetheboss battery test. The 3axl beat out every other phone
Well it has a SD670
Check out the mi9t
Thanks for cutting the typical tech glam shots intro and getting straight into it 😉👍
Because the review is what we're here for.
Get Pixel 2 XL instead. Same camera better phone, same price.
Worse screen, worse battery and no headphone jack.
@@kacperuminski1547 Minimal, Nope and who cares.
Three weeks now with the 3A and it's still an excellent phone. Highly recommend also Michael.
I love plastic, whether it's done right or not, cuz I love my phone lighter.
I got the Pixel 3 base model on Black Friday last year for $400. It's all about the deals.
Good deal
Pixel 3a = 2019 Version of the Nexus 5
At least Nexus 5 was a flagship in the specs (apart from camera)
World1, I would say the 3a is the better trade off. Better camera more useful and noticeable than flagship CPU, as Fischer said
@@RelyingWOrld1 I have the 3a and had the regular 3 for a while. Even side by side, the difference in performance for almost all tasks was nearly unnoticeable. 600 series are really good processors and you get much better battery life.
