Absolutely! I haven’t seen Tom Cruise in that movie but there is no way Cruise is a Reacher….not in a million years…this guy is 100% Reacher!
this is one of the greatest casts in any show. Their chemistry is so good

After reading quite a few of the Lee Child books, when I saw Tom Cruise, I said "NO." Then Alan Ritchson was cast and I firmly said, "YES!" Let's keep it going.
I've loving this season so far. Alan is such a fantastic Reacher. Maria, Shaun, and Serinda are such a great cast for Reacher's team. Can't wait for rest of season 2 to come out!

Season 2 was absolute trash. Such a shame.
Alan Ritchson is an amazing actor. I don't think anyone else could play this part on Reacher.
The Writers and Producers couldnt have picked a better cast for this series. I cant wait for season 3. The thought out scenes and acting is just incredible!

My favorite character is Dixon. She’s beautiful, smart and she’s dangerous.

Someone's got to say it... I think as far as acting bring true to the books, Cruise did better. Except he's 5'6" at best.
Also, Lee Childs retired and his brother took over. Teacher has for alot chattier which is not good.
sadly i thought she was a cardboard cut out, just like the other special investigators. can you tell me three interesting things about her? Neagley? O'Donnell? One of them likes cereal. Give me a break.
This is by far the best series I have watched so far. Alan and Maria are just awesome!! Can't wait for Season 3 and 4 and 5 and 6 and 7 .......!

Maria Sten as Neagley, it looked like she was born to play that role. A badass in every meaning of the word. She was a late addition in Season 1, so I'm glad she has more screen time this Season. Oh, she is also smokin' hot, no matter how much they seem to try and hide it.

I had never heard of this show or any of the actors. Yesterday I watched 7 episodes and thought it was Great ! I was amazed and impressed with what Alan transformed into from years ago auditioning I believe for American Idol.
Maria Sten is a breath of fresh air because she is a very good actress from what ive seen so far and she's fine as hell 🥰

I dont think that any other person would have filled this roll as good, he is amazing in it iv watched both seasons now and to be honest he is the best fit in it in my opinion, he makes it his own i think if they had come back with a diffrant actor in season 2 i would have not watched it, and so far season 2, he is smashing it and the story line is pretty good aswell

I only remmembered him from Blue Mountain State, which is a great comedy TV series, and arguebly he was the star of it, and the show wouldn't be what it was without him, but the shift to a more serious role really surprised me, and once again, he nailed it. I'm glad this guy is seeing success, he deserves it.

There IS someone that is physically similar to Reacher (6'5"), is former military (Canadian Special Forces), and he's had a couple of acting roles. However, he's currently a full-time champion arm wrestler.

Yes, but as far as actors go and before all his scandal stuff, Armie Hammer pretty well perfectly embodies Reacher.
Maria's voice is killing me, so sultry and deep, it adds to her elegance and beauty!

I like this interview immediately. Whatshischops is so different from the character he plays. I like that. So many well-known "actors" just insert themselves into their roles.

I loved season 1. Season 2 was also great. However, I would have loved if they didn't skip this many books. I remember I really liked 2 of the books between 2 and 7 (can't remember which). I don't know if they will just keep going forward or they can go back on some of the books but I am a little sad if they don't go back and we don't get to see them.
Keep up the good work you do with the role of Reacher. Flush all other toxic comments with regards to your personal life. I'm an avid fan of this series.

Reacher is a loner. That makes him interesting. There are a whole load of good books they could have done before we met his “ adopted family.” Disappointed but not surprised.
I'm thrilled to see there's another person who shares my thoughts.
I had seen no trailers before watching this season so when I saw that the main story was bringing in his old military buddies, I was in disbelief that was done this early.
This story should've been saved for a season 5 or 6/the series finale, ending with Reacher settling down with Dixon.
Tom Cruse had a great line in the first movie, "everyone I arrest is a trained killer!" Not completely true but as a military police including in vietnam most people were armed, but most had desk jobs or jobs in the back ground. I took drugs off of many soldiers bringing them back to base and had to fight most of them. But I was not shot at and if I was I was a heavily trained killer myself.
It’s good to see these B level actors get a break. This was a good season and I hope it leads to more work for those involved

I'm 6 foot 3 also and it seems that is about is tall anybody gets with the exception of basketball players.
This show is almost perfect. It's showing me action and writing at a level that I would never have expected or demanded them to push to, just pleasantly surprised by the quality of writing. The banter is just chefs kiss, its bordering on silly, but not cringe or woke. How is a show about 4 ex military outcasts a 9/10 and a show about Godzilla and titans a 2/10. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
Dang, the Godzilla show is bad? I haven't gotten around to watching it but was going to for Kurt Russell!

Maria Sten, you do yourself an injustice by having your hair up. You were smoking hot in the scene with just you and Reacher in the hotel room playing cards and your hair was down.

season 3 is happening as we speak. i just hope it doesn't turn into like Witcher series were woke takes over. As a non American viewer there is barely anything worth watching from west, Reacher was a good surprise.
It's great the show is continuing, but I see it being hard to move along because this season already felt like a series finale with bringing in his "adopted military family" as the main storyline. From a writing standpoint, I wonder what the logic was.
If you really enjoyed this, I strongly recommend checking out "Justified" and "Chuck."

is that the same actor as in the series? what happened to him? or was it always just pump, the right light and good make-up artists?
They couldn't do this without Neagley as it was her who got Reacher involved and you /definitely/ couldn't cast another actress as Neagley. Once cast in the first series you can't then swap her out. If you don't want the character choose a book she isn't in... which is most of them.
ANYONE NOT FINISHED WITH SEASON 2, DO NOT READ PAST THIS SPOILER ALERT: I'm sure I'll get haters, especially after reading a bunch of the comments with everyone loving the show and everyone in it. I just finished season 2 last night and these are my comments:
1. I didn't think it was as good as season 1. There was more character development and more of a total story in season 1. Season 2 just kind of ended, and strangely at that. Seemed to be at least one episode short.
2. One of the big drawbacks from the start of season 2 was how everybody knew everything. They start their dialog back and forth, going over all of the possibilities and evidence in 20 seconds, and have the case solved, type of conversations.
3. Then, after Reacher is shown to be the best investigator, can figure out any problem, can kick anyone's @$$, he has a simple conversation with the women on his team and turns into Forrest Gump. He gives them this blank stare, doesn't know what to say, or doesn't say anything. Which is how the season ended, him staring at Neeley, not saying a word, twice, before getting on the bus.
It's hard to explain, but there were just several things that didn't flow as well as season 1 did. And what the heck was with Langston in the helicopter? For who he was, and how he acted in the show, to just act scared and get thrown out without a fight like that was strange, too.
Years ago my local radio station had an interview with Lee Child’s, I managed to get to ask him a question which was “who would you like to play Reacher on the big screen “ his answer to thousands of listeners - “anyone but Tom Cruise “, having read all the books Alan is perfectly cast as reacher, pity he didn’t get the call from the start. Great show.
*SPOILER: I throught that in the helicopter scene, they blow a great oppertunity.
Reacher should have grabbed Lanston by the face, gouged out his eye, showed
it to him and then thrown him out. And then in disqust tossed the eye as well.!

I've enjoyed both seasons and I'm not sure if the writers use the author's exact wording from the books but there are some really cheesy/cringe-y lines that pop up occasionally that need to be changed. Let's hope for Season 3!

Overall I like the show, but the writing needs to get better. E6 S2 was the absolute worst. NYPD Cop gets pursued through the city with no cops to help him? Really? No one hears the gun fight in the bus lot? Really? Was the Investigation Unit and the Cop the only people in all of New York? Stupid plot. Not realistic. Too dumb, even for us fans of the show to overlook. Needs to be better. The one lead they have, is allowed to walk into a building to speak with Swan, and the entire building blows up? Come on! So predicable.
True. It felt a bit slow. Like...S1 was rounded beautifully...this one was lil flawed
