Keep up the great updates and improvements MSI
I appreciate any manufacturer who is open and responsive to constructive (respectful) feedback.
Looking forward to seeing the new one in Adam's future review!
I'm glad to see that they're continuing... I've been checking their driver's releases for the A1M and I hope the 8" is going to be ready to go soon.
Really excited for Claw 8 AI+
I appreciate MSI understanding, that 1080P is the perfect resolution for mobile Windows gaming.
They really should go for a 1200p screen instead. The giant bezels above and below the screen make it obvious that there is space for it and with wider screens not being viable adding some extra vertical space is an obvious improvement. Many PC games (mostly 3D ones) support 16 :10 resolutions natively and ones that don't, display with letterboxing at an equivalent 16:9 resolution (1920x1080 in case of a 1920x1200 screen) with no scaling.
What?
@electricindigoball1244 Letterboxing looks a lot worse. The only thing the claw should improve on is the bezels
@@oo--7714 I game on 16 :10 display and letterboxing in games that are limited to 16:9 resolutions is perfectly fine. If MSI also switched to an OLED display then you wouldn't even see the letterboxing at all. Also I forgot to mention that the increased vertical size would help with old games that are limited to 4:3 resolutions.
@@electricindigoball1244 It isn't though, it looks quite bad on the steam deck, 16:9 is fine, the bezels just need to be slimmer. Best to use something that is a lot more widely supported.
Looks like they're showing a 16:9 image on a 16:10 screen. They could have done with showing an image that's the correct resolution because it looks like the bezels top and bottom are actually very small. Liking the look of it.
This is the screen size I'm waiting for, the ROG ally screen is just too small but the legion go is just too massive at 8.8" which is why the AOKZoe was on my list with the 8" screen at 1080p but with this releasing, I'll hang tight and purchase day 1. thanks for considering our feedback
Battlemage 2 and better triggers and pricing are your best chance. I'll watch a video on it
Good work MSI keep going strong
Can we get the MSI Claw 8 AI+ in a S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Fallout Editon? Intel Lunar Lake looks like a game changer and Fallout is the coolest.
Does anyone know what year the msi claws 2, 3, 4, and 5 are coming out, and do you think they are all gonna have 80 whatts?? Please respond
I hope intel can compete in the handheld space because my onexplayer with the intel xe graphics although did get regular updates. There were too many times shader issues in game were taking too long to fix. Diablo 2 remake shaders took years to finally fix. Works on other graphic cards just not on my intel handheld. So if the fixes don't come as quick then it's better to go with amd handheld. So gotta wait and see.
Is there also gonna be a msi claw 2, 3, 4, and 5, and what year r they coming out??
I hope price is better on new models
I would say the more options the merrier
Not gonna lie, this looks really good
Windows Hello 1080p webcam and a kickstand. Lunar Lake has a comprehensive Imaging Processing Unit that is wasted without a camera.
Why no OLED?
because oled has pwmdimming at 200hz and uses high modulation, so that gives eyestrain
Any updates of this new Claw?
Where can we join the Claw forum?
Ljnk below?
needs a oculink port
Makes me want to support MSI over the other handhelds, And give Intel a chance to improve. Im still on the fence in hopes for Microsoft to release a Xbox handheld.
I'm debating between getting the ROG Ally X or MSI Claw 8 AI+.
Lunar lake mean they're using Xe2 with supeior architecture and better low power state right?
Supposedly. It needs to be a lot better to compete with AMD

I’ve got AMD laptop Asus ROG G14 with 7940HS
The iGPU is so dumb it ate more battery than dGPU 4060 if used with gaming usage
@@heickelrrx that's because that laptop is configured to 60+W. At 15-25W which is what handhelds use, nvidia wouldn't do very well (otherwise all handhelds would use nvidia cards)
This guy is keeping the cards close to his chests well played but unless people get a glimpse of at least the prototype in there hands it will be like the last 1gen models DOA they need a better marketing strategy but I’m also glad intel and other companies are throwing 80 watt battery 🔋 into there products and its a win/win for us consumers every company must step up there game😊
Did he say it's a 2230? I hope they change to a 2280.
That's why I'm gearing towards the ROG Ally X.
If MSI Claw upgrade to 1440P with OLED display someday, I will go for it.
what makes it ai?
Lunar Lake with an NPU so it can support Windows 11 Copilot bits
No one is buying og claw😅(overprice) real talk
I wasn’t that interested in the original Claw because of the 7” screen. I’d definitely buy the 8 AI though
I woudnt. The Intel Chips are very inconsistence. Buy the Rog Ally or Legion Go if you want a bigger screen
Vote
MSI Claw 8AI+ OR Asus Rog Ally X
I'm getting both in the future
Waiting for claw 8
@@nuclearthrone2497 the msi claw 8 ai + you mean
There are supposed to be msi claws 3 and 4 this year. Msi claw 5, 6, and 7 in 2025, I think, someone told me
miss the days when intel product can just say performance, outright. gice you number. miss those days. everything bogged down in jargon, inevitably to disappoint.
@msi Just Focus on 1 product and make it the best on the market..
I really would like to see a premium NON gaming handheld... think Sony UX280P.... Maybe ASUS could do something in the proart brand.. maybe collab with Wacom...
What would the product be for? You need a target market for this product.
Also slide out keyboard handheld already exist from various smaller players which have a premium price
How much will this cost? $1000 LOL msi claw is so bad at pricing. If you slash the claw price to $400 maybe u can see buyers.
Exactly even 568.00 to compete with the oled steam deck that’s 1 of many msi mistakes
Msi claw has had a lot of bad reviews. Hopefully they sort it out
I wish they had someone better to talk about this!!! He's not making me want to buy it!!
I think there are some bots in here.

MSI the next EVGA if they keep on trying to catch-up and no new innovation. Just coy and using worst hardware and selling for higher? Lol
Cliff, You blamed users for the issues early on with the device during your Q&A on discord after launch. I'm going to need you to apologize to your early adopters.
Unfortunately this will never sell as long as there is Asus ROG ally and now the X. You would be crazy to buy this. LoL
Why? Seems like very serious improvements
@@nuclearthrone2497 can't even complete with the older Ally lol
Msi The next EVGA rip
Removable controllers, and this would be perfect.
I’ll buy an MSI Claw when they stop using Intel and go with AMD.
the chassis itself doesn't have much going for it.
Ideally, we should have AMD, Intel and Nvidia handhelds, so that customers can have a choice. That will help drive competition, keep prices down and force companies to innovate. I'd like to see more powerful ARM handhelds too for mobile gaming and emulation. Especially x86 emulation. A Snapdragon handheld that can play PC games with great battery life sounds great!
@@JuanGarcia-lh1gv A lot of PC games still doesn't support ARM they are just new to the market so it will probably take time for them to enter in gaming. As of now the mobile gaming is their market.
32gb ram, oculink and 699. You will have someone buying it maybe.
We'll have to see how lunar lake performs maybe it'll surprise us, I'll be the one buying it if the performance and price is good.
8AI+ = BAIT
I just clicked the video because I saw Adam. But then it was about bifocal gaming. :/
