Ok #1 thing, great that Ellis didn't make Elgin aware that he was on to him. All they had to do was let Elgin leave colony house and FOLLOW HIM! So simple😅
The KimonoLady might have warned him if they tried to do that, though. But they didn't know that, so maybe they should have tried that instead of torturing the poor lad
Ur rite they should just followed him but it seems like the entities kinda have precognition and maybe wanted it all to happen the way it did. Cus it was all perfect timing like as they get to the cellar, with perfect timing the baby gets taken downstairs for boyd to witness
@@muziseanbymuzitv 1. They didnt know that Elgin was going to go back to the cellar. 2. Like others said there is a good chance the kimono lady would’ve warned Elgin via the camera
My thoughts exactly on why they didn't just follow Elgin, however I think the kimono Lady would of warned him with a pic and perhaps cut the monster out of Fatima killing her.
I think it was implied that the OG Tabitha and Jade did not choose to sacrifice their daughter, but that the people who became the monsters stole all the kids of the town for their sacrifice. Tabitha and Jade mention that they failed to save the children the “first time,” so they must repeat the cycle until they are able to successfully save them. Because of that, I don’t think OG Jade & Tab are monsters. Otherwise, how could they be reincarnated if they are immortal and never died? Just my take.
Yeah Jade and Tabitha lived another life as Christopher and Miranda who both tried to stop the sacrifice but failed and they both died. I think the body Elgin found in the room is Christopher and Tabitha saw Miranda get killed outside the cellar. Not everyone in the town agreed to the immorality ritual but seems they all died even the ones turned into monsters.
I don't. Boyd doesn't have a soul as he's showed when he abandoned Randall, hid Tilly killing , lied to Kenny, didn't put Sarah in the box and torturing Elgin.
What bothered me is they have Elgin no grace the way they did Sarah, Randall and Fatima. He wasn't a hot head like Randall and Sarah is a known bad person for what she did. Now they'll have to get rid of Elgin and cover it up because the rest of the town won't accept this and if they find out that's what happened they'll go after Boyd and Sarah. If they don't get rid of Elgin then he has a justifiable motive to get revenge against Sarah, Boyd, Ellis and Fatima.
@@elmaestroco I also noticed she didn’t appear happy like the other monsters. She remained seated, even once he was fully transformed, she didn’t get up and join the marveling over his return.
The man is yellow is one of my favourite visual reveals in the show. We rarely get any colour saturation but they used such a powerful yellow to juxtapose the town we know thus far. Yellow has always had a positive connotation with sunshine & brightness- I think this may be who FEEDS off of hope.
Absolutely loved the rant that Jade had to the kids when they started working it out! Definitely how i think a lot of veiwers were feeling and him losing his shit like that is brilliant writing because the writers bloody knew we would be feeling the exact same by that point 😅😅
Sarah went from being the town baddie to the town hero. I feel so bad for Julie, she has the worst fate in town now, trying to save everyone and she's still a child.
Yeah, it seemed a little inconsistent considering where they r and what has already happened- whether the figure is father khatri or boyd's conscience 🤔
Hear me out... Ethan is the man in yellow from the future. Thomas is the boy in white. He died that's why he is still a boy. But Ethan doesn't know yet. Isn't it odd Ethan just knows everything, its based on his story. Maybe the voice in sarah's head was trying to help when they told her to kill Ethan. That could've ended the whole cycle.
The fact that one set of parents didn’t agree to the bargain suggests to me that the ritual is not complete and that a child, willingly sacrificed, is still missing. Killing Ethan could also have been a way to prevent the possibility of him being sacrificed and prevent the ritual from being completed.
Now that we know the bottle tree numbers are music notes, and the number 12 was huge! Two thoughts: 1- There are 12 talisman total (according the writers) I think there is a reason they were all found together by Boyd. Putting them back together maybe is whats needed to fend off the MIY or something worse coming in season 4. 2- I also think the number 12 represnts the number of parents that willingly sacraficed their child. I think that would mean that there are 12 immortal monsters. Next random thought, not number related: So, Im also thinking that Kimino lady is part of the "It" that promised the immortality. Also, since there has been many different settlers that came over the centeries, I believe that a mix of cultures, bringing in there own adaptations to the curse has added the layers to the Iceberg or maybe inshould say adding length to the spear Martin mentions. Without thinking, I see cultural elements of Nordic, Anglo-Sax, Japanese etc.
Tabitha and Jade did NOT agree to sacrifice child. They were never monsters. Look back at the cave drawings. There are two figures removed/ way on the other side of the ritual slab kid sacrifice scene. that’s them. They tried to save them and failed and have been trying ever since.
@@sherihausey7127 yep I don't get some reviewers saying they sacrificed their kids when it hasn't been said in the finale in fact they tried saving their daughter along with the other angkoeey kids. Als th red painting is like the scene ehen smiley broke out of the pod/sac someone pointed that out in the fb fan page.
Since jade was seeing people since he got there. What if the people he’s been seeing is himself in his past lives. The guy crushed by the rock, the civil war soldier, the guy drinking the blood skull and obviously he’s seen Christopher and the doll. He’s been seeing his past lives
What if jade is the guy crushed below the big rock what if in that lifetime he did go through the tree like the boy in white instructed Christopher who refused to go as he said it was lies maybe the boy in white is evil and was tricking Christopher and a previous jade in a previous timeline did listen and when he entered the tree he ended up like Dale but stuck below a Rock...
Or the yellow king of the priest and the kimono lady the priestess who oversaw the cult ritual. But it seems yellow king retained his humanity and is a day walker. Kimono lady turned into a permanent spirit to maybe oversee the perpetual cycle.
Commenting on the if Tabitha & Jade are monsters I’m gonna say no because they didn’t want to sacrifice their child. It seems their child was taken so I don’t think they’re monsters. I think they keep being reincarnated because of the children putting their hope into the trees giving them the chance to fix everything.
Or they were the ones that sacrificed all the kids to begin with and this is their punishment. Being constantly reborn into people with their memories and families to feel the horror and pain of their families being slaughtered in front of them repeatedly.
So glad you finally dropped this video! I've been rewatching the live feed 2 hr from last night. It was awesome with the Scene Invaders product giveaway~ Also everyone dropping where they were..... FROM~ Amazing group of fans you all had~ Congrats 💙
Tab and Jade are not monsters from previous selves, their daughter was sacrificed, but they did not do it, it was done to her by other parents who are now monsters.. they tried instead to save them, so they get reincarnated.
Tab and Jade are not reincarnations. The town is messing with them. Note Abby had the same visions and dreams that miranda had. Tabatha NEVER had visions and dreams of the town.
Abby didn't have the SAME visions. She said the same thing Elgin did. That she thinks she's had dreams about this place. Abby was probably another helper that that town took advantage of
I think the man in Yellow was able to appear because of the song Jade played. That’s why he mentioned it was a beautiful song. He is the one that’s behind it all.
He controls everything he draws his power from the souls / anguish of the innocent (children sacrificed) the reason he was lured out Is Julie traveling through time and trying tk change everything he needs to stop her he could appear at anytime he wishes he is the town
@@aarontempleton8047 I agree he can control everything, but I think the instant gain of knowledge Jade and Tabitha experienced after the song is not something to overlook. I believe that is why Jim had to die. The man in yellow said knowledge comes with a price. Jim was the character to crack the bottle tree code, plus his wife was digging that hole lol
I don't think song summoned him but rather he was watching the town. He saw the song summoned the an-gooey kids so he came out to see what's going on but why he killed Jim isn't clear. The yellow king is just like in the TV show lost where the island king shows up out of nowhere. Makes sense since both shows written by the same guy so he's recycling ideas.
@jonfreeman9682 Julie story walking / tike traveling trying tk change things is the main reason he came out , to stop her , he killed Jim because knowledge comes at a cost Jim and tabetha have both been searching for answers from they first arrived digging in the basement building the radio etc
I don’t believe the song had anything to do with his appearance. He said knowledge comes with a cost the song unlocked their memories giving them knowledge. He’s most likely there to end this cycle and start over
if you listen to the music during the Smiley "birth" scene, the score is almost triumphant which makes the scene even creepier for some odd reason to me
Jim was a great character This episode proved just how much if a threat he was to the entity and the monsters He led the town to build the radio tower which pretty much sparked the entity to see him as the threat He figured out the numbers equal musical notes which got them to remember Hes the catalyst for the entity retaliating as much as it did. I'm willing to bet his death is gonna have alot of negative repercussions..julie isnt just trying to save her dad in that scene..I'm betting theres something more...
Jim tried and helped but upset the yellow king. It was the yellow king who called Jim twice to stop trying to radio out and to toy with him pretending to be Thomas. Okay here's a twist what is Jim is the reincarnation of the yellow king himself. 😱
Yes, people think that. I do too. The only problem is that if she saves the kids then Julie and Ethan would’ve never been born. She will wipe out her own existence.
@@TyreeBRB-gt3nh She can’t change events, but she was already apart of events in the time loop. She may think she is doing something different, but it was always meant to happen that way. These are the same creators as lost and same thing applied to that show as well. So she was always supposed to give the kids the message of hope, she just didn’t know it.
Man in yellow is the past, Boyd is the man in yellow of the present, Ethan is the man in yellow of the future. Only characters that wear yellow prominently throughout the show. And to me there are no coincidences in this show, every detail has meaning.
I liked Jim. He was extremely helpful. I’m sad he’s gone. I’d rather Fatima died. He said the answer to the bottle tree was 12 many episodes ago, and he solved it in the end. He’s been helpful in every season. He was up early looking around and found the food while Kenny laid on his ass and slept in. He helped with the tower to try to contact someone. Jim was smart, he’s definitely a loss and I’m sad he’s gone.. I feel like the people that didn’t like him are people that didn’t understand him because perhaps they’ve never had a wife or husband and kids. I understood where he was coming from. Like with Tabitha coming back and people rushing her for answers. He wasn’t telling them to back off to prevent communication, he was trying to understand wtf happened to his wife and protecting her. Cmon now, Tabitha pretty much told him Jade is her soulmate, what a gut shot, but he backed off when she asked for time. He’s not a bad guy, he’s got a family to worry about, if you have one then you should understand. People wanted him gone and happy he’s dead but wanted answers at the same time, which he helped provide, make it make sense.
@@Christo_Trismegistus I’ve never liked her character. I’ve never cared for Julie either but because she can be annoying however most bratty teenagers are.
I liked jim too. Season 1 we was trying to figure stuff out. And then he almost lost his wife 2 times. Had crazy shit happen with Julie. Ethan almost died when they first got there. Dude was tryn his best to be there (although he didn't do great at it) but he was trying thru all the crazy shit
To your theory that there’s a monster version of Tabitha and Jade, I thought they were implying that the reason only those two keep coming back is because they refused (and were murdered by the townies) to sacrifice their daughter and tried to stop the other townsfolk! Love the video guys
I find it ironic That Julie going back to save her father was literally the reason he stood there and tried to fight and got killed I believe Jim would have ran had she NOT been their
Great season finale! A lot of questions answered and others raised but it all appears to be furthering the overall story. I do not think that Eloise died. The monsters seem to consistently leave the faces alone. It seems like a big departure for them to just leave pieces. Eloise theory-she is a story walker like Julie. They will encounter each other in the past somewhere and work together to effect a pivotal change or bring back a crucial piece of information to the group. And then Eloise will be able to finally settle in the current timeline with Victor and Henry once everything is resolved.
I'm glad they gave us the answer to Fatima's baby and shock Smiley 😁 is back. Totally did not see that one coming. And no Eloise is not dead but trapped and will need a way to reincarnate. We'll get more answers next season but this season we've learned alot already.
The man in yellow is ETHAN Hear me out…. The man in yellow is Ethan. If Tabitha were to actually go back in time and save the children, Ethan wouldn’t be born. Ethan goes back in time to kill his dad because the Jim was the outlier in the equation helping solve the mystery. From the radio in season 1 all the way to the season 3 finale, Jim was the one on the verge of big answers every time when the “big bad” had to step in to prevent answers. Ethan is actually the key to going home. Imagine if the voices in Sara’s head were actually good the whole time and she killed Ethan. It would prevent a whole sloo of events from happening, potentially leading to them solving the mystery once in for all. Ethan convinced Julie to go into the ruins, which sent her back in time to be able to help Boyd. Ethan told Julie in the first place about being a story walker or whatever he called it. He’s so little and knows so much. Imagine what a lifetime in fromville would do to him. We already know the current residents are in the past, after looking at Julie coming back to help her dad, and seeing Boyd in real time getting the rope thrown to him etc. If Ethan were killed off, Boyd would be dead, tienchen might still be alive, Fatima wouldn’t have gotten pregnant because smiley wouldn’t have died, the cicadas wouldn’t have been released to begin with, Julie wouldn’t have discovered the ability to time travel etc. killing Ethan upon arrival has always been the answer since season 1, and the voices in Sara’s head were proof. It never said who the voices were. Maybe it was the children guiding her after all. Maybe it wasn’t a bad entity telling her that. But the events that have played out will continue to play out, until something else were to play out. Que sera sera
As far as Jade & Tabitha go, I took it as they did NOT sacrifice their daughter, but that the other townspeople took her as part of the sacrifice. Perhaps they needed 7 kids & she was #7, so the two of them were actively trying to save all the kids with their daughter & they keep failing. Another thing I noticed, but haven't had time to go back and check: when Julie appeared to try & save Jim (RIP Jim) wasn't she wearing a letter jacket? That immediately made me think of the monster who appeared to her early on and said, "Don't you remember me, Julie?" He was wearing a letter jacket. Perhaps she's going to story walk to meet the guy before he gets monstered...?
I honestly feel bad for him because people forget how good of a guy he really was remember when Dale stabbed Ellis and he risked his life to save him...for some the need to escape that place is like becoming a drug addict... The moment Boyd asks for them tools he was right back in Afghanistan my dude...man everybody loses in this situation
Fatima found out she was pregnant the same episode the monster smiley was killed … so does that mean that its death was planned in order for the cicadas to come into town ?
Hi , My theory for season 4: Julie is going to time travel way back and try to save the kids but being unable to do so she tells them a story which gives them hope. ALSO I THINK julie teaches them the word ankhooey which means hope and somehow she must be the one who wrote the book that ethan reads which in turn helps julie in present, basically like a time paradox. Excited for season 4. Thank you guys.❤ Edit: sorry ankhooey means remember!
Okay, so we haven’t seen the monsters straight up eating people or drinking blood, so i was a little confused on why tabitha did this while pregnant with smiley. but i wonder if the original people experienced famine with rotting food too so they had to eat it, and eventually when they sacrificed the children they possibly drank their blood, like the vision of the man drinking out of the skull. this would explain why she did these things, even if the monsters might not do that anymore (from what we’ve seen).
I’ve said this before but gets no love: Tilly is old Julie. Julie’s last words: “You have to run”. Julie’s words to Jim: “You have to run”. Tilly wasn’t speaking to Fatima. Tilly was thinking Jim as she drew her final breath. Like “Rosebud” scene in Citizen Kane.
You’re assuming Tilly is the same carnation as young Julie. Story-walkers can have multiple reincarnated versions of themselves present in same space-time in the story, intentionally or not.
I think Father Khatri does act as Boyd’s conscience, but I think he is actually the Boy in White in another form, trying to encourage him to make good decisions and not go to the bad side. He doesn’t know everything Boyd is thinking, as we saw when he questioned what Boyd was doing after Tien-Chen was killed, and Boys had to tell him he was making a memory board. Boyd also asked Father Khatri this season, “Who/what are you?”
Maybe I’m a wimp but I felt so sad seeing Elgin crying with his hand all effed up :( I know they needed to find Fatima but I wish they would’ve just followed him to the cellar in stead 😢 full circle moment with the season starting with Boyd watching tian Chen being tortured to being the one doing the torturing..town really broke Boyd😢
I think Julie story walked in season 1 episode 6. She took the flowers that Kevin set out for the monster girl. We never saw her give the flowers to anyone. I believe she took them to try and prevent the colony house massacre. But as Ethan said you can't change the story. I'm rewatching the the series to pick up on things.
@@starwarsshmantzers3791 that doesn't add up. Plus why didn't Kevin ever mention anything about them missing ? Julie took them earlier that day. Kevin sits them out around the evening time.
Loved the finale....we got answers and more questions. So did Jade playing the music summon the man in yellow as well? Or Julie messing with the timelines? Lol...cant mess with the timeline. I have so many questions now. Also i dont think Tabi and Jade's former selves were monsters. I think they didnt agree with the town and tried to stop it only to be killed and keep coming back to try and stop it.
Anyone else notice at one point during the rebirth of Smiley as he’s standing, before he rips thru the placenta, he looks almost exactly like the red squid monster drawing in the tunnels.
A little bit. The drawings were showing the cycle of rebirth and immorality. So the monsters never die. We never got an answer to who's Martin and what this worms were that killed 😁 in the first place.
Who cud have seen baby smiley happening. Just wow. Thanks Dan with the plan, Cool guy Xander, and Jules with the super kool hair. You guyz are doing the lords work. Hope we see more live streams, very good stuff 🤟
I think all three of them, Julie, Randal and Marielle need to in order to time travel or at the least be able to talk with the guy chained who obviously knows what is going on better then our current group. Good call about it stopping the sound for him.
I feel when Boyd sees the Pastor. It's him talking to his conscious. I also feel like Ethan is the boy in white reincarnated. He gives clues/info to help just like the boy in white. I feel Tabitha and Jade didn't sacrifice their daughter. They were killed bc they didn't want to give her up and their daughter was stolen to be sacrificed. Also can y'all review the show Teacup on peacock. I love your guys reviews.
I think that too only thing flawed with it is the boy in white is present and alive well as far as we know he's obviously some sort of entity but he's there so how can both exissg at the same time in the same place if they are the same person?
@@aarontempleton8047I feel like they both can exist bc the boy in white is more than likely dead. He's just a spirit now. Similar to how Christopher's spirit stills lingers and Jade, whose reincarnated is him.
If "energy can neither be created or destroyed" is being used as a way to explain "reincarnation" then your theory doesn't track. After death your energy either lingers and becomes a "ghost"(for lack of a better term) or your energy is recycled and enters a new container. It doesn't make sense to have both. It just makes the concept even more convoluted. For example.....If Jade is Christopher, but also sees Christopher, then we have to wonder what the Christopher he sees actually is. Is it a hallucination, some type of memory, or is it the boy in white trying to help him remember or the man in yellow trying to mess with him? I do not believe, however, that it is Christophers ghost/energy because I believe that is now part of jade. All that being said...... anything is possible. Lol
I think they just paid a good amount for the Father Cotri actor and they just wanted to use him in an few more scenes and give him a few more lines…😂😂 Appreciate the coverage, looking forward to the theory videos!!
i think Acosta's first name is probably Daniella.... could this mean the Babysitter monster gave their little girl up to be sacrificed?....and why didn't Ellis think of letting Elgin leave and following him on the low...
Yellow is used on a lot of hazard signs, as a warning of danger... by the way he handled Jim, this guy is certainly looking to be a significant source of danger.
Jade n tab cant be monsters cause they never sacrificed the kids the town took they kid n they were the only couple against it so they cursed to repeat saving the kids
I think Fatima and Elgin arent the same with what happened. Fatima was angry and reacted from loosing her shit in the moment - Elgin repeatedly chose to listen to Kimono lady and chose to do something wrong. I think choice and reaction is the difference.
Yesss I was right about the monsters replenishing themselves. I didn’t know it was going to be Smiley, but I knew when Boyd killed him the first time that Fromville would create another one.
I have a very "out there" theory. I reckon that the man in yellow is a monster just like all the others but perhaos with a different agenda in some way; and with that it reveals that monsters can likely move around in the day as well if they wanted to. The reason for not; just like walking instead of running, is to give people false hope of escape and safety. In addition to this, i think that the talismams actually dont do anything either; its all just a way the monsters play with the villagers and give them false hope.
Good theory. My take is he's the yellow king in Lovecraftian mythology. Basically the priest who conducted the cult sacrifice turns into the yellow king so he managed to retain his humanity and becomes a day walker. Kimono lady is likely the priestess who helped the yellow king but she must've died without turning into a monster. So kimono lady takes on the role of spiritual midwifery to ♻️ the monsters. The yellow king is the one controlling the town kinda like in the TV show lost. Same writer so he's recycling the same ideas. Next season we'll see Julie travel back in time to learn what happened and try to stop the cycle and bring back Jim Chen and everyone dead. That won't happen til season 5 though but Julie is on her path. Jade and Tabitha will get another chance to break the cycle with help from Julie. Kimono lady may also not be all evil and will honor her promise to Elgin to show him how to get home. The monsters will be able to break the cycle and maybe turn human again.
The ending was awesome, thank you guys for all the recaps this season, you guys are great! One thing I was curious about, do we understand how they got Fatima pregnant with Smiley?
Jade and tabitha don't have versions of themselves who r monsters. Their daughter was kidnapped and sacrificed. They tried to stop it, but they were too late. 🤔
Jade and Tabatha are not past people. They have simply been given the memories of certain players in the game. Jade is Christopher's son btw not Christophers reincarnated self.
@Dead_Goat i disagree- tabitha pretty clearly said she has been there since the beginning- she and jade- they were there originally and they keep coming back bc they couldn't save their daughter
Did they really "save" Fatima? She would have given birth anyway, and probably come back with Elgin afterwards. The only difference was that now Boyd got to see the "baby".
A blind person could see Jim was gonna die. He went from being a waste of a character to having a complete rebuild, you could see death was coming. You didn't need a leak to see that, these people claiming you needed leaks must be slow
These are just some theories I’ve pieced together from what others have shared, mixed with my own ideas. Big credit to the FROMily for all the deep dives-there’s so much out there! The Man in Yellow feels like a blend of The King in Yellow and Dr. Mabuse. His name even shows up subtly on the ambulance equipment. Both characters deal with deception, creating fictional realities, and orchestrating mind games, all seemingly for the amusement of a hidden, shadowy force. What do you all think? Could this tie into the show’s bigger picture?
I know it APPEARS that Jim changed, but in the end, the REAL Jim came to the surface. When 'future', Julie ran up to him, trying to get him to run. He wanted to stand there and 'be that man.' Well, he was that man, wasn't he? Maybe, in Season 4/5, Julie's able to redo that scene and get Jim to run with her. This cycle Jim hadn't learned ANYTHING. And even though Ethan said what happened, happened, I believe Julie will find a way to change the past of certain events. Great video! Side note: Also, I know they were supposed to be acting, but did u see how hard he pushed the actress who plays Julie? She went down hard and it took me out of the scene. I assumed he was caught up n the moment. I hope she didn't hurt herself.
The main mystery of the season finale is not even in the episode itself, but in the release date of the season 4 premiere. It is planned for 2026. Why do they need so much time? My theory is that the 4th season is not going to be about the continuation of season 3, but rather that we are going to take a trip back in time to before everything began, to conclude it all in 2027 in season 5.
One thing that I'm wondering is if Jade and Tabitha have a son as well? Miranda had Victor and Eloise (if I'm remembering all the names correctly), Tabitha currently has two living children, a boy and a girl again. Could their son be the boy in white? Someone else who is somewhat familiar to us already in the show? The answer I would really love to get in the next seasons though is whether or not every person that gets pulled into Fromville has a reason for being there... even the NPCs. Maybe even circle back to the opening scene in season 1 and the family that died because of the grandma monster. It's always seemed interesting to me that it appears only certain young children are pulled into the town and no parent of young children ever arrives without their children. Thanks for all your videos on From this season in general and for giving us a space to conjecture together
What just happened, the song in front of bottle trees, bringing the children coincides with the appreance of the man in yellow and the rebirth of Smiley. So much symbolism. You really need to watch Lost Highway to understand From. Jim actually never existed, but he did mention the rules, he was part of an Oedipal structure, but he doesnt represent someone who was real, that's why he was killed by the superego, the man in yellow. Just like the superego killing Dick Laurent in Lost Highway.
The Man in Yellow does give me fake Locke/Smoke Monster vibes like how the darkness moves within his skin as if he just transform. The only thing he made no noise and he’s more silent than the Lost monster. I can’t wait to see how different of an entity he is or similar to the MIB. I’m also still wondering if they are set in the same universe because there a lot more parallels now especially with souls being trapped and time traveling being confirmed.
Kind of think Boyd's visions of the priest are bad now. He could be helping him spiritually, but it also would stop him from getting answers that would stop the birth. So he could want what the monsters want.
Glad to see you guys enjoyed the episode and season so much. I didn’t enjoy it so much I really think the show runners/creators are not clear on the overall direction and are keeping too many plot threads open ended and unclear as to where they are going. Idk, just me being too needy for answers maybe, lol. I do think this story walker idea is neat and I think it will also include Randal and Marielle and more importantly will allow them to figure out how to change things, I think that’s what will happen: They’ll figure out what to do to change things like someone dying and eventually figure out how to save ten children or even save the people from making a deal to sacrifice their children. The biggest unanswered question I have now that they’ve told us what they did this season is Why did the entity (or whoever/whatever the bad/evil person/thing is) what them to sacrifice their kids??? What did he get in return ???
Here are some thoughts: 1) If we look at the mural in the tunnels in light of the finale, we see that the symbol is surrounded by 12 white human figures. Ten are at the bottom of the symbol, and two are at the top. If I interpreted the finale correctly, the night creatures are the 'ancestors' who sacrificed their children in exchange for eternal life. While it’s clear there are more than 12 monsters (e.g., Jasmine and the elderly woman with the scarf were not there), I believe these 12 are the original ones, with others joining over time. Tabitha mentioned that one of the children was theirs with Jade. So to me, this implies that Tabitha and Jade were there at the very beginning. However, for some reason, they changed their minds (the boy in white?). Among the 12 figures surrounding the symbol in the tunnel, the top two are distinctly separated. I think they are Tabitha and Jade. So... 2) ...although they also received eternal life, they returned not as monsters but through reincarnation. 3) I believe there is a cyclical pattern to the events happening in the town (as you also mentioned). I think the dates (years) carved into the lighthouse were marked by Tabitha's alter-egos every time she attempted to break the cycle. 4) This isn’t a theory, but it would be cool if, due to the parallels between the Kavanaugh and Matthews families, it turned out that Victor’s sister, Eloise, was also a Storywalker. (Victor mentioned in the latest episode that he only found 'pieces' of her.) While I understand they can only revisit events that already happened and cannot appear in the future, it would be nice to see Julie run into her while both girls are traveling. Ps: poor Tabitha, three of her husbands are/were present in the town at the same time
Great season finally. So, there are three theories I think merit consideration. First, When Julie shows up just before Jim dies, her hair was cut short, and she was saying that she was trying to change the story. I think that Julie in the future went to the ruins and returned in this time to try to stop Jim from dying. That was not the Julie in this current time. Second, the new creature that was birthed by Fatima is the creature Boyd had killed previously. They live forever so we can expect that anytime someone kills one of the creatures, that they will return somehow, probably in a similar manner. Third, I don’t think Jade and Tabitha sacrificed their daughter, she said they tried to save them. So, I do not believe there is a creature version of them; however, I am interested to see how the creatures have reacted to them in previous episodes and if something was said by one of the creatures that we all missed.
After this episode I’m now convinced these people/monsters are a more lore accurate representation of vampire. Original European mythology is that vampires are humans who sacrificed people and were curse by witches to live forever never able to leave their home town basically. That in a way is what these monster are. I think the big bad is still a witch or a group of witches and these monsters are vampires. I also believe Julie is one of the reincarnated souls because remember the young male monster asked her if he recognized her. They might have been in a relationship in the past life and now they’re at around the same genetic looking age. It wouldn’t surprise me if also Jim makes a come back. I think he might be a reincarnated soul who was in love with the original version of Tabitha and took her to the town on purpose. Remember in the tv he said he misses the way it used to be and then bam in the town they go.
Theory: Now I'm not 100% set on this, what if the Kimono lady is actually good and Smiley has been reborn as good? I don't wanna say he's a good guy now but what if Fatima giving birth to him imprinted "good" back into him. The kimono lady never hurt Fatima in any way and could have easily killed her after she gave birth. What if she knew this was the only way to tip the balance in "goods" favor. Again not 100% sold on this but it would be a good twist, the entire time we are thinking this was something bad when in fact it's good and Elgin was right.
So optimistic, like Donna with Fatima in the garden, when she learns Fatima is pregnant and loosing hope. Love this theory after where my mind has been wandering from this season. #FromS4letsgo
@ I actually added to this on the discord. So to add to this theory, how did Fatima know about the children being sacrificed? I don't think Kimono lady told her, what if the memories of smiley were transferred to Fatima? Which again would make Elgin correct in that her having the baby was a good thing. They would learn what started everything and could now try to fix things knowing how it all started.
Boyd has never seen the house with the boat there. They surprised him that they bought the boat on their way to fromville. So the picture was probably pulled from his mind.
Maybe Eloise is a story / time traveler just like Julie? They are both Tabitha‘s/Miranda’s daughter and might have a special connection to the place because of that. It cannot be 100% confirmed that Eloise is dead because Victor said he found small peaces of her. Maybe Eloise somehow managed to get away through story / time traveling? Could she even be the being sneaking around the old settlement where they found the „scarecrow talismans“ and vegetables? 🤔
Knowing what we do about Jade and Tabitha, I’m wondering if Jim was picking up on their bond and that’s why he was jealous? It’s sad that Jim dies the moment he stopped being an ass! I love the whole story walker plot. Is Boyd a story walker too? Can’t wait for season 4!
36:30 into the episode, Kenny refers to Acosta as “Dani”. Did anyone catch that? This is when Acosta hears Boyd smashing up Smellgin’s hand. Turn on the subtitles and you’ll see it.
@@mattlogic9647 She definitely would've sent a Pic
Sarah went straight gangsta…I can appreciate her “saving” Boyd’s soul.
I enjoyed that part a lot 😅
agree👍
I don't. Boyd doesn't have a soul as he's showed when he abandoned Randall, hid Tilly killing , lied to Kenny, didn't put Sarah in the box and torturing Elgin.
If the same torture was done to Sarah for her crimes would people be cheering it?
What bothered me is they have Elgin no grace the way they did Sarah, Randall and Fatima. He wasn't a hot head like Randall and Sarah is a known bad person for what she did. Now they'll have to get rid of Elgin and cover it up because the rest of the town won't accept this and if they find out that's what happened they'll go after Boyd and Sarah. If they don't get rid of Elgin then he has a justifiable motive to get revenge against Sarah, Boyd, Ellis and Fatima.
Disappointed that so far, no one has acknowledged the midwife skills of the kimono lady. What a clean and safe delivery that was.
@@elmaestroco 😂 good point

The man is yellow is one of my favourite visual reveals in the show. We rarely get any colour saturation but they used such a powerful yellow to juxtapose the town we know thus far. Yellow has always had a positive connotation with sunshine & brightness- I think this may be who FEEDS off of hope.
yes
Yellow is always displayed vibrantly on screen during hallucinations.
Yellow is all over the show. They even film scenes in it as far back as s1
Man in yellow reminds me of curious George
Have a look at the lovecraftian like book, the yellow king. Seems like a lot of parallels in those stories.
She'll probably find a way to undo it with her new found story-jumping capabilities
@@LarisaBayaMomo so true Larisa 💔
Father Khatri went from "PUT HIM IN THE BOX!!!" in season 1, to "Oh no, torture is wrong! Don't do it!" in this season.
I don't think it's actually him. it's the place trying to delay Boyd.
Yeah, it seemed a little inconsistent considering where they r and what has already happened- whether the figure is father khatri or boyd's conscience 🤔
Father Khatri died in S01, watch it again. Who Boyd is seeing is not the Khatri from s01.
It’s not really him… the town using people they knew to play tricks on them
@@33Cinxo Yeah maybe, but I think I like the "ghost "father Khatri better than the original 😁
This makes the theory video!!
The fact that one set of parents didn’t agree to the bargain suggests to me that the ritual is not complete and that a child, willingly sacrificed, is still missing. Killing Ethan could also have been a way to prevent the possibility of him being sacrificed and prevent the ritual from being completed.
The boy in White is more likely Similar to Julie, being a story walker. Hence his age change, and also being mostly "hands off".
I think Ethan will time travel too. And then he’ll become Man in yellow. Or MIY is Randall in the future
The monsters have resentment for the parents that did not sacrifice their kids.
Next random thought, not number related:
So, Im also thinking that Kimino lady is part of the "It" that promised the immortality.
We 2 more seasons remaining, I feel the children plotline is a red hearing or at least not the core of Fromville.
Lost all credibility how did they miss that! ALL THREE OF THEM! WTF
Do you think they are the two figures on the talismans? Like maybe they are the protection?
@@julianakleijn9254 That's a solid observation. But what does it mean that Tabitha had dreams of being there when she was a child?
Since jade was seeing people since he got there. What if the people he’s been seeing is himself in his past lives. The guy crushed by the rock, the civil war soldier, the guy drinking the blood skull and obviously he’s seen Christopher and the doll. He’s been seeing his past lives
@@jordanclark6972 I think you're right!
I think all the one eyed people would be Elgin, no?
@ I don’t think reincarnation works that way. It’s just your soul that moves on it’s not your physical body or past injuries
I like this channel because you all have intelligent and respectable conversations about this series.
Thank you!!!
I believe the man in yellow is the one that the townspeople made that deal with for eternal life.
@@fbernazal I think so too
It's said they are reincarnations cuz they fought🤦♂️ it's clearly said...
Or they were the ones that sacrificed all the kids to begin with and this is their punishment. Being constantly reborn into people with their memories and families to feel the horror and pain of their families being slaughtered in front of them repeatedly.
@@Dead_GoatI think that the punishment was to become monsters, they are reincarnating because their mission is to save them all
I wonder if Sarah taking Elgin's eye is somehow connected to Jade's vision of a man with one eye injured
It could be. Jade is a very powerful psychic and can see more spirits than anyone else.

Tab and Jade are not monsters from previous selves, their daughter was sacrificed, but they did not do it, it was done to her by other parents who are now monsters.. they tried instead to save them, so they get reincarnated.
Yes, this is exactly right- im surprised at how many people missed or misunderstood this 🤔
Tab and Jade are not reincarnations. The town is messing with them. Note Abby had the same visions and dreams that miranda had. Tabatha NEVER had visions and dreams of the town.
@@Dead_Goathow can you say that, in episode 9 they literally showed that Tabatha is the reincarnation of Miranda 😅
He’s most likely there to end this cycle and start over
if you listen to the music during the Smiley "birth" scene, the score is almost triumphant which makes the scene even creepier for some odd reason to me
Jade and Tabitha are the 2 who feed the children's hope. They used to sing to them and tell them stories. That's how they made the faraway trees.
My music notes prediction!!!! I need my flowers!!!!! 💐 😂
Jim was a great character
This episode proved just how much if a threat he was to the entity and the monsters
He led the town to build the radio tower which pretty much sparked the entity to see him as the threat
He figured out the numbers equal musical notes which got them to remember
Hes the catalyst for the entity retaliating as much as it did.
I think Julie is going to go back in time to try and save the kids, but she can’t. What she will do is give the kids “hope”.
😮😮😮 yooo??? That gave me goosebumps for some reason I coukd see that
Yes, people think that. I do too. The only problem is that if she saves the kids then Julie and Ethan would’ve never been born. She will wipe out her own existence.
If you think about Hodor from Game of Thrones.... Angkooey sounds like it could be Aunt Julie, which would back your theory up @rob9553
@@rob9553 I think her only job is to travel in the past to see events not to actually change them
@@TyreeBRB-gt3nh She can’t change events, but she was already apart of events in the time loop. She may think she is doing something different, but it was always meant to happen that way. These are the same creators as lost and same thing applied to that show as well. So she was always supposed to give the kids the message of hope, she just didn’t know it.
What if the show is secretly a lovcraftian story and this man in Yellow is actually Hastur the King in Yellow!
The lengths that Boyd and Sara went to in order to get her location out of Elgin would have been lessened if Fatima died for sure.
I agree. Fatima is an extremely unlikeable character.
@@Christo_Trismegistus I’ve never liked her character. I’ve never cared for Julie either but because she can be annoying however most bratty teenagers are.

I think the old guy in chains is Jade in a former life. How he knew Julie's name. Chained up to prevent the people from killing his daughter.
To your theory that there’s a monster version of Tabitha and Jade, I thought they were implying that the reason only those two keep coming back is because they refused (and were murdered by the townies) to sacrifice their daughter and tried to stop the other townsfolk! Love the video guys
I find it ironic
That Julie going back to save her father was literally the reason he stood there and tried to fight and got killed I believe Jim would have ran had she NOT been their
Dammm you think? I took it as he got killed and that's why she went back to stop it. Good point though
@sceneinvaders notice how they kind of gave her that (trunks)DBZ ark from... She came back from the future looking like Android 17 remember?
Atleast now we know a little more about the significance of the 2 cars coming in one day (Tabitha and jade)
Yes!
Weird, Boyd never saw the boat at the house right? They were on the way to the house when they surprised him, giving him the boat key.
Boyd definitely brought Sara for a reason and I don't think it was to 'talk' to Elgin.
The man in yellow is ETHAN
Hear me out….
Yellow is frequently used in literature as an association with sickness, man in yellow fits perfectly
6:20 if they were smart, they would've followed him instead of confronting him. Bag packed, he was clearly heading back
I honestly feel bad for him because people forget how good of a guy he really was remember when Dale stabbed Ellis and he risked his life to save him...for some the need to escape that place is like becoming a drug addict...

Tilly was thinking Jim as she drew her final breath. Like “Rosebud” scene in Citizen Kane.
So her eyes went from brown to light green over time??? I'm not buying that theory at all...

Father Cotree is just Boyd's subconscious
I think Father Khatri does act as Boyd’s conscience, but I think he is actually the Boy in White in another form, trying to encourage him to make good decisions and not go to the bad side. He doesn’t know everything Boyd is thinking, as we saw when he questioned what Boyd was doing after Tien-Chen was killed, and Boys had to tell him he was making a memory board. Boyd also asked Father Khatri this season, “Who/what are you?”

So I read something last night after watching the finale that the man in yellow could be a nod to the 1895 book The King in Yellow.
I'm gonna rewatch that episode now, thanks!
She took the flowers thinking Fatima or Ellis left them.
@@starwarsshmantzers3791 that doesn't add up. Plus why didn't Kevin ever mention anything about them missing ? Julie took them earlier that day. Kevin sits them out around the evening time.

Good call
Lol
Ok you bringing up Jade and Tabitha also being monsters is chefs kiss!!!!!
I think they just paid a good amount for the Father Cotri actor and they just wanted to use him in an few more scenes and give him a few more lines…😂😂 Appreciate the coverage, looking forward to the theory videos!!
she already changed the story when she dropped the rope, Ethan is wrong.
i don’t think that changed anything, that’s the thing with time travel, it happened because it already happened the first time
i think Acosta's first name is probably Daniella.... could this mean the Babysitter monster gave their little girl up to be sacrificed?....and why didn't Ellis think of letting Elgin leave and following him on the low...
I think choice and reaction is the difference.
literally, and tilly was sadly already dead so there was nothing anyone could do but fatima was still alive so they couldnt just let her die
Yesss I was right about the monsters replenishing themselves. I didn’t know it was going to be Smiley, but I knew when Boyd killed him the first time that Fromville would create another one.
@@Paulandrew1976 but why? For what purpose?
Thanks so much. Good question. We'll talk about it in the S4 theory video
Ive been trying to remember the name of the channel cause i loved you guys recap of the episode before this 😂 ill do the right thing and subscribe now
Yellow means fear in green lantern-pretty sure that also has some basis in color theory
Love this
OMG... I just spit up my milk reading that! too funny!
Did FROM give you all a shoutout at the season finale? Jim said, "What just happened?" and I immediately thought of the channel. 😀😀😀
@@TVTheories hahaha I noticed that too! Should have clipped it in the video
@@sceneinvaders Yesssss!!!!
The Yellow might be a nod to the book 'The King in Yellow' by Robert W. Chambers
I've been saying that there is a lot of ties to the Cthulhu mythos. Betting The man in Yellow is a reference to Hastur.
Yea I’ve been saying the same thing! I’m pretty sure this has always been cosmic horror. It’s certainly seems like it lol.
Early 2026 - Feb / March
Someone left a comment on all season releases and they all took long. Never fact checked it so...
Yess!! 🎉🎉 love the recap is on!
Hahaha! "Crazy ass Willy Wonka" ! LMAO
😂 😂 😂
The Man in Yellow does give me fake Locke/Smoke Monster vibes like how the darkness moves within his skin as if he just transform. The only thing he made no noise and he’s more silent than the Lost monster.
I can’t wait to see how different of an entity he is or similar to the MIB.
I’m also still wondering if they are set in the same universe because there a lot more parallels now especially with souls being trapped and time traveling being confirmed.
Remember fatima explained the whole from ish to elis, about immortality sacrifice
I do think this story walker idea is neat and I think it will also include Randal and Marielle and more importantly will allow them to figure out how to change things, I think that’s what will happen:
They’ll figure out what to do to change things like someone dying and eventually figure out how to save ten children or even save the people from making a deal to sacrifice their children. The biggest unanswered question I have now that they’ve told us what they did this season is Why did the entity (or whoever/whatever the bad/evil person/thing is) what them to sacrifice their kids??? What did he get in return ???
Here are some thoughts:
1) If we look at the mural in the tunnels in light of the finale, we see that the symbol is surrounded by 12 white human figures.
There was a picture Miranda painted of a man in yellow. Possibly in a coffin.
@@FunTimeWithSouls maybe but considering that the town is getting set for a purge I think Fatima was probably just gonna be meal no 1 for smiley.
I also say she is on the good side 👍🏼
@ I actually added to this on the discord.
So to add to this theory, how did Fatima know about the children being sacrificed? I don't think Kimono lady told her, what if the memories of smiley were transferred to Fatima? Which again would make Elgin correct in that her having the baby was a good thing. They would learn what started everything and could now try to fix things knowing how it all started.
@@FunTimeWithSouls 😁 i was thinking the opposite. Smiley grew in the womb of the most hopeful person that it will change him somehow
What if Jim comes back in season 4 as a monster. Remember the voice told him his kids aren’t his anymore
What if he comes back as a vision like Tom and Father Khatri? Just throwing out another perspective 😊
How did you all enjoy the finale??? Get those theories in for the Theory Video!
Boyd has never seen the house with the boat there. They surprised him that they bought the boat on their way to fromville. So the picture was probably pulled from his mind.
Plus the color yellow is everywhere, so I think he was always watching.
I didn’t catch that music note thing but it makes total sense after the events that happened
Jim went out doing what he does best. Not Fn listening 😂😂
