I do think if dance music was just surfacing now and that version of Your Love was the first edit it would be laughed under the carpet and we would have never ever moved on from 80s new wave/e;ectro/goth/indie/Waterman ... Thank fuck i lived at a time of a new birth .. granted it wasn't Soul/Motown but deffo something special which i do not think will ever be repeated ...

Thats just one part of his power and impact on free music, then all hell break loose
Something to remember, whoever experienced the beautiful euphoria of the 90s will never forget that vibe, the doves yes off course played their part but we were not divided us lot raving our faces off together as 1, even the football terraces which were battlefields went silent as our attentions were turned elsewhere to more entertaining vibrant sides to our personalities that the system didn't encourage, it was an awakening thar is so overwhelming, we had an awesome time together inside places we look back at & ask how did it happen. Take the bullring in Birmingham City centre, Shades of rhythm, all night rave, the people from all over the country on the same loving vibe.
What a DJ. My all time favourite. I've seen Coxy 16 times over the years. Seen him progress through so many genres of dance music. I first saw him when I was 15 and managed to get into the FUBAR in Stirling. I'll never forget it. To the last time I saw him was last year over here in Sydney Australia. Going to see him again in a few weeks. Pretty cool that my fave dj ever has also chosen to move to Australia but Coxy your in the wrong city son. Should be in Sydney!!!!!!!!

What an amazing old skool tune and what a f-ing legend of a DJ on the decks - the one and only Carl Cox!!! I still remember the first time I heard Cox play a live set, which is an amazing feat in itself, what with the large amounts of LSD and Es I've consumed over the years. Anyway, I digress. I first heard Cox play in Pacha's in the early 90's and I don't think I have ever come down from that night! I was completely amazed at what I was hearing and yes, I know there are loads of excellent DJs out there these days. But, for me no one else even comes close to Carl Cox when he is playing the banging, mentally hard tunes and the club is going mental.

Like others on here - I literally went to the OPENING of space when it was a brand new club in Playa den Bossa. We stayed at the ‘Don Toni’ hotel across the road that I think is now Ushuaia. I remember hearing house music that year and the year before and can not believe this track is still doing the business at the closing party... incredible

I was at one of the first Chicago Black Gay and Lesbian afterparty for what is now known as "Pride" in "Boystown" the area now known as North Halsted or Lakeview. I remember there were only like 10 people there when he arrived and started setting up his DJ booth. We "teens" helped him with the crates, so he made sure we" the teens" were taken care of so they gave us some food and drinks. He was already a Legend in Chicago, and want us to hear some of his new stuff turned out to be " French Kiss". Growing up in Chicago during the creation of House Music, you had to be there to understand the level of craft, creativity, and sheen energy of "jackin" in a warehouse all night can never be duplicated. RIP . Frankie, thank you for be so kind-hearted.
