Hey, the .ova file means you are trying to import an existing virtual machine. So these steps won't work on the .ova file, you should try importing your virtual machine.
While installing virtual box after download , it throws an error after preparing to install that "Orade VM VirtualBox 7.0.10 needs the Microsoft Visual C++2019 Redistruable Package being installed first. Please install and restart the installation of Orade VM VirtualBox 7.0.10"and doesn't go further and closes. I deleted and installed the file more than 10 times. Please resolve it ,please!.
The error you are facing is due to the absence of Microsoft Visual C++ 2019. Go to www.youwindowsworld.com/en/downloads/software/development/visual-c-2019-redistributable-package and download and install the pack and then follow the video

Hey man great video, and detailed explanation on how to install, but I do have a query why are we using installer images file instead of virtual machines file, what difference does it make?, can you please clarify on this?
Hey, I have been using bare metal ISO images for a long time. It's perfectly fine to use VM images for installation. I have used bare metal installation because other similar os used for penetration testing[parrot os, Garuda, etc] do not have VM images. This video will let you understand the steps required to install an OS. Hope this helps☺️.
@@InTruderSecurity Thanks man, for the reply but the I have been encountering a problem while adding kali vm images to virtual machine, when I download the vbox file from Kali website I cannot add the iso image file to the virtual box, what would be the reason for this? Can you please help me out?
For this I need more details of the error you are getting. It would be better if you could contact me on instagram (@intruder.security) with a screenshot.
after setting it up it shows this error when I try to start. not in a hyper partition (HVP=0) (VERR_NEM_NOT_AVAILABLE) VT-x disabled in the BIOS for all CPU modes (VERR_VMX_MSR_ALL_VMX_DISABLED) result code fail.
This is because the virtualization is turned off by default. You need to go to your device's BIOS settings to turn it on. www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-enable-cpu-virtualization-in-your-computer-bios/ This may help you out.

Make sure your machine supports a 64 bit operating system. If not you can go for a 32 bit Kali linux, the rest steps demonstrated in the video are the same 🙌 Hope this helps you, please do ask if you have more queries.
If you can log in to your machine with previous credentials use passwd command to start password changing process or else you have to delete the machine and reinstall it with new credentials. Hope this helps you! If you have more issues you can contact me on Instagram with the screenshots.
Graphics Controller: Specifies the graphics adapter type used by the guest VM. Note that you must install the Guest Additions on the guest VM to specify the VBoxSVGA or VMSVGA graphics controller. The following options are available: - VBoxSVGA: The default graphics controller for new VMs that use Linux or Windows 7 or later. This graphics controller improves performance and 3D support when compared to the legacy VBoxVGA option. - VBoxVGA: Use this graphics controller for legacy guest OSes. This is the default graphics controller for Windows versions before Windows 7. - VMSVGA: Use this graphics controller to emulate a VMware SVGA graphics device. - None: Does not emulate a graphics adapter type. Hope this helps 🙂
If you are downloading the iso file from Kali.org disable your antivirus. The file is totally safe, the reason why you are seeing the rar file is because windows by default considers the iso file as rar file.
