- As requested - Pep Guardiola's 2010/11 Barcelona Formation & Tactics on Legend difficulty.
Brief History:- Pep Guardiola was promoted from Barcelona B team and was a student of legendary Johan Cruyff, who's philosophy was "I take the ball, I give the ball, I take the ball, I give the ball" - all about retaining possession and I personally believe that no-one could keep the ball as well as Iniesta, Xavi and Busquets.
2010/2011 lineup:

Dani Alves, Pique, Puyol, Abidal

False 9 is the quintessential part of this formation it has to be on no matter what. I used it with tiki taka and the full backs automatically went on the attack because of the nature of the formation and tactics used they do it themselves no need to put it on the advanced tactics. Play from one flank and when it is crowded switch the play to other side thats it, thats the way pep's whole philosophy is about not meaningless possession and for this to work the false 9 has to has to be on. Cheers.

By the by, it looks like Fred may be on his way to United now that Pep has dropped interest in favour of signing Jorginho...
That gives you a midfield 3 of Matic, Fred, Pogba... no excuses from Mourinho next season.
blakefish80 Hey dude, we still need a CB and LB. Desperate for a CB. Alderwield would be an amazing signing. I'd like a RW too if we're being greedy as no-one likes to play RW. We don't really have a LW either. They both cut inside and it all becomes rather narrow. Thanks anyway and hopefully give your boys a proper challenge next year.
Spoony Pizzas Your aging fullbacks are indeed becoming more of an issue. I thought Young did relatively well this season, but he and Valencia are both effectively converted wingers turned fullback on the wrong side of 30. Alderwiereld would indeed be a fantastic partner for Bailey (if you could keep both fit), and the obvious LB would be Rose. Good luck getting Levy to sell both in the same window to the same rival club though. Certainly won't be easy... or cheap.
I take it you'd have Bale in a heartbeat, but it would be best part of a £250M deal for a 30 year old. Pretty short term, but could be what's needed?
I'll finish by saying, I don't think Mourinho has much of an excuse anymore if he gets Fred and a decent LB. That should be more than enough to compete if he's good enough. The mid 3 I mentioned in my original comment is utterly beast mode IF utilised properly. With Sanchez, Lukaku, Mata, Rashford, Lingard, Martial... Surely that's more than enough to mount a proper challenge on all fronts?..

Doubt Bale will cost anywhere near £250M. I think £80-£100M and I don't think United would pay above £80M if I'm honest. I would actually prefer Mahrez - fit, younger, unbelievable player when given the ball - my only question mark is would he track back? (Jose loves players that track back).
Rose & Alderwiereld would both be great signings - dunno about Rose though... he's been out injured for a while.
We need CB, LB, RB (cover - Dalot) and RW before we can challenge. Lingard, Rashford should be squad players... especially Lingard... he's so overrated. People see his goals, but don't see his general play.... AWFUL.
Spoony Pizzas... I was watching a vid before which broke down how much it would cost a club in total to buy Bale from Madrid. They reckoned the combined transfer fee and wage package over a 4 year contract period would be anywhere between £200M - £250M.
Utterly obscene figures, but also quite believable for a player of his calibre and profile. I honestly don't think United would pay that either. Not because they can't, but because there are cheaper alternatives out there.
Mahrez is indeed brilliant and still only 27. He would certainly suit your needs... but we both know he's City bound, and this time we won't drop the ball and let you have him like Sanchez... (who must be regretting his choice, what a waste under Jose).
Lingard is the type of player who could very easily be a 15 goal a season impact player, IF he is managed correctly. Rashford imo is a fantastic little player who needs games and a bit of trust... perhaps not at Man U right now. A loan to a decent side (perhaps on the continent?) Where he will play a lot of games could prove to be a bit of a breakthrough for him. I think there's a very exciting player in there waiting to emerge.
Agree on everything you said - Sanchez... yeah, God knows what happened to him. I just hope it's because he needs a pre-season with us! Going from one of the best players in the PL to one of the worst!
Hey man spoony I am trying a new formation which is like the Cryuff 343. I want your opinion on these:
- 343 diamond with left and righ mfs placed 1/4 of the pitch on each flank and wingers hugging the touchline;
- short pass, support range low-3, attacking area centre, flexible, attack instructions-;
-Front line pressure, conservative, high defensive line, high compactness;
- hug the touch line, tiki taka, counter target on cf, as advanced tactics.
What do yo think about it? Can it work in online and offline situations? What tweaks could I make?

Hi mate, sounds great tactics dude - I would remove Counter Target from striker. I've always tried that but never found it to be very good as they seem so disconnected from play - especially if you're having trouble building attacks. The only good thing about CT on a striker is if they have really low stamina stat.

No fake shot mate, just release sprint and use L stick, using players momentum coming from behind them. It helps with Messi high Explosive stat e.g. agility and acceleration. Cheers bro

Great video really. But could you make a tactic for barca with Messi as a false 9 and maybe Suarez play on the left side just like what Villa did during 2010/11 ?
陳柏翰 Hey dude, if I play false 9, I lose attacking fullbacks or tika taka. The front 3 will rotate, as you seen Suarez pop up on left because of flexible positioning. They also all drop deep due to positioning on gameplan. Cheers bro
Spoony Pizzas I usually use tiki taka and attacking fullback too.But I will also put messi in the central "SS"position and it will make him play like a false nine due to his playing style.But the problem is I don't know how to make Suarez's run from left flank to the area more frequently.Any opinion?
Play Suarez in an SS capacity but you'll have to position him inside from the left flank. Cheers bro

Anwar Ghazi I couldn't fit in false 9 anyway though because I can't drop attacking fullbacks or tika taka. They are set to a deep position in the gameplan with flexible, which forces them to rotate which they did - Suarez on left and Messi dropping through middle.

Mike Bassett Haha :P - gotta admit not too concerned about licences at all as it's fixed by some great modders who spend their time working on it. Rarely ever bothered playing at Signal Iduna Park to be honest.

I guess its really really hard to emulate that tiki taka from guardiola on pes 2018, I play fifa too and there I found a tactic and instructions to play as guardiola barça, the problem here is that in pes is more hard to defend, attack and to make goals too....

Spoony Pizzas Thanks, Yes I saw a lot of your videos but Its really hard for me to defend in this pes, I tried to use the supercancel sometimes as you said but I cant get it and I left a hole on my defense, oh and a tip maybe you can use Messi as an AMF emulating that "false 9"

cineczek89 Well, people are saying so, but what do I drop? Attacking full backs or tika taka? With the flexible attacking it allows the front 3 to rotate and all 3 are set deeper than usual (check gameplan positioning)
@@SpoonyPizzas drop attacking full backs, then use fluid formation to manually change the full backs position to RMF/LMF
