Because Disney likely forced this guy to write some BS, and effectively 'kill' Anakin, again, like they do all strong male characters in the SW franchise. The only ones they haven't done yet are Lando, Chewie and Qui-Gon, the rest? All emasculated, degraded and humiliated. This is why i'm really hoping Ashoka retcons the entire trilogy and everything conencted to out out of canon, but considering what KK did to Boba Fett while Favro was away and unable to stop her medling, i doubt it.
Similar to how With Vader, Anakin was still deep within his mind. Now it's the other way around Anakin is the dominant personality again but Vader is now the suppressed one. The fact that force ghosts are a Jedi power, when Vader comes out Anakin losses the power to be able to project himself. And that could be a cool way of explaining the flicker of his Ghost and the more Vader appearance. At one point it's Anakin talking and a moment later he changes to Vader and then his Ghost flickers away because a Sith can't hold that power.

@@mateoparvex-switzer725 Anakin is a war veteran who lost his family and all of his body. It's not hard to imagine that he would break when reminded of that loss especially when in his mind, He thought he was responsible for their death.
Vader is an unstoppable killing machine who never fails, Pain just a tool to get stronger, So Anakin Skywalker died because he was weak.
Denial is the first stage of grief, followed immediately by rage, And in his rage Anakin found comfort in the complete ruin that his life had become.

So basically learning the ability to merge one's essence with the Force is irrelevant now? I don't think Anakin's ghost ever died. It defeats the entire point of one becoming one with the Force.

If a force spirit can die then that means they didn't really "become one with the force". I think to become a spirit in SW universe you have to be able to maintain your ego or sense of self. If somehow a powerful energy knock your spirit out cold, untune you, scramble your signal or some such. I think it would be possible for a spirit to fade away and become one with the force for real.
I personally just hate the sequel trilogy with a burning passion. In my opinion they are a disgusting blight that weigh heavy on my love of Star Wars. The contempt and disrespect shown for our most beloved characters is completely unforgivable so long as they aren't retconed from existence.
This could be a good explanation for Anakin’s absence at least his physical spirit not being there. His interaction with the Sith wraith’s drained him of some of his connections with the physical force thusly making him a disembodied voice similar to Qui Gon.

I feel like since he is made by the force he cannot die so for now he will have to fight against himself so eventually after many many years like maybe the next sequel (after Rey and everyone else) Anakin could return realizing that the force is a balance and instead of disregarding his dark side he himself becomes balanced and returns as someone who is balanced. He will be half jedi and Half Sith. That would make him a powerful being.

Well the first question is, are force ghosts visible to non force sensitive individuals? I used to think that only force sensitives could see them, but after seeing Yoda interact with lightning to set fire to the force tree, and then Luke literally grabbing a lightsaber, giving it to Rey, then making an X wing rise thanks to the force, I have the feeling that force ghosts are just starting to discover their abilities. However, if I'm wrong and only force sensitives can see them, Anakin couldn't go see Luke considering he had cut himself from the force.

Bo i dont thino he died; anakin IS the for e before he became one with it. Even in expanded universe shadow walking as it was called was deemed a forbidden skill by the jedi, luke even used it in extreme circumstances only. This was the power yoda and obi wan used to retain their consciousness after death; alive it slingshots your consciousness wherever you need it. Anakin was wounded by the darkness. It wasnt ao much as he was inured by the entities there it was more or less the dark side nexus energy siphoning the energy that sling shot him into manifesting his consciousness: This is why he was unseen by rey. Obi wan and the other jedi also didn't appear as it was the pragmatic jedi ideals at play- onpy appearing to the jedi in dire need. Luke fell to the dark side and therefore was unworthy and unbalanced- until he challenged it by facing the fear, which he was confronted by his own master yoda.
But such as disturbance and luke meddling with the dark may have induced the will of the force to allow the sith to return in the first place and what made luke fear the darkness with his nephew whoch is indicated by the series of coincidences of fate. Its also why i think lucas arts need to redo that trilogy to refine this. Nostalgia is what screwed the first of the sequels. Sjwisms, and idiotic decisonmaking acrewed the second film and trying to mop up the second film was the screw up of the third film is why the trilogy as awhole fails

I think Anakin as a spirit could be injured but not dead. To die in the Force means to give up and it was not Anakin's case. He would never surrender. Even if he became a sort of prosonner on Exagol. And if we look through the 7-8-9 novelisations, he appears to Luke at the moment of his death and to Leia at the same moment. So there is another explanation. If Luke was out of the connectoin with the Force, it was he, who couldn't see and hear. As for Leia, he couldn't connect to her untill she forgived him... at the last moment. A Force Ghost can't appear to a person who doesn't want to see him.
Really wish Dave Filoni would find a opportunity to change Canaan with a one time timeline switch using the world between worlds. Then Disney would be able to redo the sequel trilogy, and all the money they would make with more than make up for everything.

The whole narrative behind force ghosts has been blown up by the Disney sequel series. They have turned this into the wild Wild West.
Interesting idea, but not buying it. Once you're one with the force, there is no death. I'll buy that *maybe* outside forces can make it harder to manifest, but don't agree that someone would ever diminish or go away.
Even "banishing" sith spirits don't eliminate them, it just removes their focus point that let's them manifest. (Destroy the bracelet/mask/whatever)
Much simpler explanation would be that anakin trusted Luke not to make the same mistakes after their final talk, and him trying to micromanage might actually do more harm than good. Luke brought himself back, Ani never could.

The Force is a continuum of light and dark, the exploration of Anakin/Vader's existence in the Force is an exciting one, because not all Sith are megalomaniacal sociopaths and not all Jedi are altruistic saints. I just hope we never see the sequel characters again- unless MAJOR rewrites and fix-its for the bogus storyline (the writing team admitted they had no plan) happens.

Why is it that Luke Skywalker never felt palpatines presence
Palpatine probably concealed his presence like he did during The Clone Wars and Blockade over Naboo. He is skilled in that ability even as a young boy in Legends when he didn't even know what The Force is.
Anakin force ghost didn’t die, I think it left him weakened in his abilities to manifest himself. I think when Anakin was finally able to recover those abilities Luke had already detached himself from the Force and couldn’t “see” his father anymore. Similar to Obi Wan finally seeing Qui Gon only after he was able to connect to the Force again. Doesn’t explain why Anakin doesn’t show up to Leia instead but…….

Apparently if you've had no Force Ghost training, or simply not enough then you won't be able to come back as a Force Ghost least not under anything you control an being dead already permanent death is impossible. It’s a great explanation; however, I think the true reason is that the Disney writers just haven’t been all that creative. Eventually, they will get around to adding Anakin as a force ghost. Probably in Ahsoka, but only because the fans have given the writers the idea.

Force Ghost can reject joining with the Force and remain Forever as a Force Ghost. Invisible to everyone not force sensitive enough to see them.
But they can rejoin with the Force and reincarnate into a new body without memories of their past lives...

Yeah… I really didn’t like 7-9 so this explanation doesn’t really work for me. 7-9 just rehashed 4-6. There have been so many great fan fictions that focus on balance and how Anakin bridges that gap for Luke which allows Luke to create a Jedi order that addresses many of the old orders failings. It’s something I would really like to see. But this book just appears to try to explain why Anakin wasn’t there despite fans really wanting that.
Look at what Marvel has done with No way home and spider man. Many fans wanted a crossover and they got it and loved it. The mistake many studios do now. Is they hear what fans want and try to make something completely different so it isn’t expected.

I think his attachment to the light side was not strong enough to appear as often as Kenobi or Yoda. I imagine that the Sith spirits on Exegol viewed Darth Vader as a traitor to the order or weak for returning to the light side. Perhaps that tried to push him back into the darkness once again
