Q7: Answer must be B - moving in reverse as the pendulum Bob is swinging towards the front. If it was moving forward, it would be swinging towards the back). Question 9: which tool is best for driving screws? D - Screwdriver Question 10: B: Load B is heavier as identified by the direction the lever is tilting. Question 11: C: Both are the same (as lever is level showing equal weight distribution on both sides). Question 12: Answer: A - Man A on the left or rear end of the pole is doing less work (no weighted object on his end) The answer is dependant on the weight distribution of the object. It is heavier on Man B's end so man A is doing less work. Question 13: C: D and F (in additon to A). Question 14: mistake in question, so here are what is clockwise or what is anticlockwise. Wheels rotating clockwise if B rotating clockwise = C, E, G, H. Wheels rotating anti-clockwise = D, F. Question 15: B: G, E, C, and B are moving anti-clockwise. Wheels F, D, and A are moving clockwise. Question 16: F = (50 × 1) ÷ d2 = (50) ÷ 2 = 25kgs 25 kg must be placed on the other side to balance. Question 17: F = w × d1 ÷ d2 = 10kg × 2m ÷ d2 = 20kg ÷ 4m = 5kg. 5 KG must be placed on the other side to balance. Question 18: F = w × d1 ÷ d2 = 15kg × 3m ÷ 9m = 45kg ÷ 9m = 5kg 5kg must be placed on the beam to balance. Hello your video helped me out a lot. My test is over mechatronics and robotics. It’s like the RME & Ramsay test. The section I need help on is print reading and measurements if you could help me in anyway. Thanks.
For anyone watching. There is a much easier way to solve for the unknown mass in relation to the balancing of the seesaw (Q16). END RESULT: The two distances of the seesaw relate as d_1=Ad_2 (A is just some number). The unknown mass is then given simply by m_1=m_2/A. That's it! For Q16 A=2 because d_1=2m which is double d_2=1m, therefore, the unknown mass is simply m_1=50kg/2=25kg. This works every time. (REASONING: This comes from equating torque magnitudes in basic classical mechanics. The magnitude of torque is T=rF|sinθ|. Here r is the distance from the pivot point to the mass, F is the force and θ is the angle between F and T. The magnitude of θ is 90 degrees as F lies flat on the screen and T either goes into or out of the screen, so |sinθ|=1, giving T=rF. For mass 1 we have the torque T_1=d_1m_1g (using terrestrial gravity, F=mg), and for mass 2 we have T_2=d_2m_2g. For the seesaw to be in equilibrium then T_1=T_2 hence d_1m_1=d_2m_2 (the acceleration due to gravity g cancels out). We know already that d_1=Ad_2 so substitute this into d_1m_1=d_2m_2 and rearrange. You get m_1=m_2/A.) You do not need to care about the reasoning (it's here for those who want to follow), all you need to know is d_1=Ad_2 and m_1=m_2/A. Just find A and plug it in! It's MUCH easier than the equation given.

Q15 is "B".
Q17 is 5kg.
Q18 is 5kg.
Q19 is 200kg.
100% correct! Excellent stuff
Great video. Seems to be many others in the comments including myself getting Q.14 = A,F,D please address it for sanity sake haha thanks
Look which way the rope is pulling and trace along the edge of the wheels. It's a little different than the gears
Gong through this now. I think the answers listed are for which wheels move CLOCKWISE. You are correct with AFD moving Anti-Clockwise which leaves only those that are moving the opposite way left: CEGH
Thanks for the clarification I was confused too xD😆
@@zetetimmExactly! I noticed the way the question was worded, "which is the 'other' wheels..." That wording makes me think the questioner intended to ask which wheel's rotation is identical to B's.
@@SkitzophrenixIf B is rotating clockwise, C, E, G, H will also be rotating clockwise. In the previous question (13) A,D,F all rotated in the same direction and B,C,E,G,H all rotated in the same direction. That will never change for this arrangement. Agree?
thanks! your explanation are so understandable!
Hi, Richard. I have a question about q.7. In my opinion, both A and B are correct. The truck could accelerate toward direction b or decelerate toward direction a. Please help me with the issue. Thank you.
Agree. the question should be about acceleration not movement

Hi Richard! I am interested in becoming a pipe line controller. Thanks for any guidance you can provide.
What’s up did you ever become one?
Hello your video helped me out a lot. My test is over mechatronics and robotics. It’s like the RME & Ramsay test. The section I need help on is print reading and measurements if you could help me in anyway. Thanks.
Glad it helped!
You get m_1=m_2/A.)
You do not need to care about the reasoning (it's here for those who want to follow), all you need to know is d_1=Ad_2 and m_1=m_2/A. Just find A and plug it in! It's MUCH easier than the equation given.
How come for question 14, where the answer is clearly D, F, and A....that wasn't on the selection of possible answers???
Hi Rant, the correct answer for Q14 is indeed D. Can you please advise where the confusion is coming from? :)
I'm with you on this one Rant
@@CareerVidz i think you wrong D A F are anti clockwise . Which is not mentioned on the question 🤔
@@brahimbelkadi6414 yeah i saw that aswl maybe the question was worded wrongly? or its just a trick question?haha. Since the anti clockwise cogs were A, D and F and that wasn't a answer option, so I just chose the answer without the anti clockwise cogs which are B, C, E G and H but excluding B the answer should have C, E, G and H :) idk if I explained it clearly hmm but yeah
