I'm so impressed that they offer a full English experience, and it's been properly translated with all the quirky English puns as well! They're obviously expecting lots of international tourists. Meanwhile... new Dragon Quest theme park in Japan and there's hardly anyone there. What the--??
well of course, part of the fun is localization and accents. Though I need my pachisi/sugoroku/treasures 'n trapdoors game from dq3 they keep avoiding.
dragon quest is literally the only thing that'll bring a tear to my eye of how amazing is! it brings me nothing but pure joy when i start hearing the music
The algorithm brought me here (because I like Dragon Quest) and I'm glad it did. You two are adorable and I _need_ to visit that place when I go to Japan next year. I love that they offer that experience in English! Thanks for the video!
WOW! I'm amazed they have everything in English, that's so awesome! Thank you for sharing your experience with us, I would love to go and do this myself someday.
This is insane. It's so meticulously designed to play and feel like an RPG. It seems like those enemies you can battle can actually kill one ur party members if you're not high level enough. So its not like you can just waltz in and fight whatever you want. You also need good equipment as well which you get by receiving gold by completing quests. Further establishing that Dragon Quest is THE JRPG. And a series that actually cares about being one first and foremost, unlike FF which focuses so much on telling a cinematic story.
They're using a mix of different games' graphics. It's funny ! Your characters are based on Dragon Quest Walk's characters. The NPCs are based on DQVIII and sometimes DQHeroes The surroundings of the battles and the monsters are based on DQXI
This is a brilliant video to stumble upon, i've been playing Dragon Quest for years and i would have never thought of something like this being built! also the video and you guys are really fun to watch! very informative too without you making it so! this will definitely be going on my bucket list of things to do when i finally visit japan, thanks! I've subscribed i hope to see more content! :)
I live in Tokyo since 2015 and I am sooo happy I found your channel so I can watch videos from other cities of this beautiful country too very interesting ☺️☺️ Me and my japanese husband are big big Dragon Quest fans so we will surely go next year!!
Holy shit, the fact that they did full English translations makes me so incredibly happy. I will absolutely be making a trip to see this and Super Nintendo World at some point! Glad to see how much attention is being given to Western fans of the franchise.
It’d be cool if Nintendo World had something similar to this for Zelda or Metroid. I don’t know if it does or not, everything I seen for Nintendo World has been Mario based
omg I fell in love with the white slime bun😍 It's so nice to see many foreign fans of Dragon Quest as it's been told that DQ is not so popular overseas
Wow I've been so invested into the game and the anime and I never even knew this existed. It's really amazing I've got to go try this one day.omg that food looks amazing this is like every dragon quest fan dream 🥳
This theory reminds me a bit of DQ 9. One boss is a plague monster that causes an entire town to fall ill. Honestly, with Corona, this would actually make a really good inspired story & even game
Dudes I'm so happy this is in english and it has the iconic Goo-fy writing charm along european accents. I'm pretty sure they got the original localisation writers to do all this or maybe they gave SE japan the Bible/Reference book of how to do simple english translations of dragon quest content on a small scale like this. I would be so happy to go here and play this.
This made me think of a possible theme park where, you go and rent an equipment of what class you wanna be then party on some random strangers that participated in the event as well and go beat a set game given, like an mmorpg
My God this looks so fun! I just think its going to be weird going alone or making your family play with you when they dont know anything at all from games hahah
I feel like this might be something where, if it weren't pandemic time, you could make friends even across language barriers, just having fun and questing.
I would absolutely love to go here with my siblings someday!! We’ve been playing Dragon Quest IX together lately and it’s been so fun, definitely one of my favorite games. I’m glad they have everything in English too, I’ve never travelled abroad nor have any foreign language skills so it’s nice to see it’s accessible :) would also love to go to the gift shop and buy metal slime plushies
It seems to play specific area music (in regards to the game). For example, they were in town so we heard town music. The moment they crossed the gate, they can hear field exploration music. It makes sense for the DQ Overture theme to play at the front entrance.
Wow, looks fun! I have never played Dragon Quest but I like these kinds of experiences. I live in Hyogo prefecture so should find some time sometime to check it out!
I've never seen anything like this! I wouldn't like the sound of it on paper but in practice it actually plays like a great idea! I hope interactive towns become a bit more common at least.
As a lifelong MASSIVE Dragon Quest fan, hearing the town music start to play near the vendors actually brought a tear to my eye.
Same.

*Can’t wait to spend 90 hours doing all the side quests and the main story!*
it'll take 4-5 hours at most.
according to the website
It took me 2 hours to finish

This was definitely a enjoyable experience! If I ever get to go visit Japan, I'll definitely see if I can come here for a day or so
As a huge DQ Fan since the 80s, this looked so amazing! The merchandise looked so good!!!
I'm still a pretty recent Dragon Quest fan, but this is amazing and I now really want to go
That was the best... makes me want to come to Japan...just to go here. You guys look like you had fun. Great video 😊

Dont forget the music of dq3
@Serena Nintendo That explains a lot about FFXIV considering Yoshida works on both.
@@dxrbkn5145 Zoma is also from DQIII
Looks like the onion slimes and king onion slimes are a Awaji Island regional specialty, not from DQX.
@@mattwo7 Yep! Onion Slime is original to this park! I love how they included regional produce into the park.

I can't express how much I need to go there. Thank you so much for making this video and giving us a look 😁
I have to say, this more interesting than the Super Nintendo world.

This is so neat! Thanks for the vid. I woulda loved to see Sylvando or Yangus, but this is pretty cool
This is the greatest thing I ever saw!!!!!! I can’t believe this is a thing!!!!! Thank you sooo much for sharing!!!
In my headcanon, the evil lord spread a foul miasma in the area, which is why the townsfolk are wearing masks and gloves

This is my hometown and my favorite game.
Omg, my favorite jrpg get's a theme park of it's own ❤ another extra to add to my Japan list when I visit.
It's been like a week since I finished my first dragon quest game, it was dragon quest builders, and honestly I really loved it
Dragon Quest Builders, huh? The second Builders game is even better than the first.
Thanks for showing us this! Looks like a lot of fun!

Thanks for the day trip!

It won't be a complete experience until we see people cosplaying as the entire cast of Yakuza: Like a Dragon in this park. Especially Kasuga.
