Milou, I'm an American but I grew up in Germany and went through their school system until I came to the US for college. It has taken me a long time to understand the racism here and realize that Americans never really dealt with the aftermath of the civil war. I'm curious about all people and feel I can learn from everybody. I was shocked about the hoopla around Kamala Harris being considered black. I also didn't see the backlash to former President Obama coming. So, I've really educated myself on black history since then. I don't recall it ever being addressed in my United States history courses in college. I learned more American history in my German high school.

Hi, someone was talking about the something the other day on TV, you are correct.
I had to suspend listening to the livestream when my 82 yr old Republican neighbor pulled up next to where I was doing yard work. We were talking about how help never shows up, etc. Then he said "It won't matter after January." I looked puzzled and asked why?
Oh, he went into the whole speel of "There's going to be a civil war" bit. I said, "No, there will be pockets of violence, but no civil war." He said, "If Harris gets in, there will be." I said, "First of all, the military is more powerful and won't allow it." He believes Harris is just going to take over with the military against citizens unprovoked. 😱
I told him he's listening to propaganda and that I stopped listening to biased mainstream news long ago; there are good independant news media telling the truth.
I said, "I'll bet you $5 we don't have a civil war." He advised me he couldn't take the bet because he plans to be out there with them, and said, "it's just how do you know who to shoot?" I said, "You don't want to be out there shooting people; that's murder! It certainly is NOT Christian! That won't be good on your resume at the Pearly Gates". I said I will defend my person and property, but I will NOT be party to murder.
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I wish I had thought to ask him if he's going to come over and shoot me because he didn't like my vote. I live in Colorado District 4, folks... my neighbor reflects the mentality that voted for Boebert in the primaries.
you live in a very red district, I know them well, I worked there for years among them. I was told I was a traitor for supporting the ACA years ago and should unalive myself - in a corporate work setting. This so that other human beings can get healthcare. Good luck.

Sad sad however he just speaking out his tail. I met a MAGA supporter on my end as well and baby I was floored by what came out his mouth, I asked him if he goes Fox news for news he will wake up one day and realized he been conned. I asked him to share reputable sites for his info he said forget it. The truth is a lot of these ppl share the same sentiments as Trump so they naturally will go to where they can hear what they want. I told him one day he will get up and realized it was all a con. He too said there will be a civil war I told him ask Jan 6 prisoners how things are going with them. I will discuss differences with ppl who are open to listen some ppl already have their minds made up and the color of skin leads that at times.
@joanies6778**It's horrifying to know that there truly are (so called neighbors) who believe in participating in a Civil War. Sadly, hundreds of them stormed The Capitol on Jan.6th. These folks have been consumed with fury for years now. There's no way to reason with them. They've become toxic and absolutely dangerous. It's a national tragedy

It was Trump and JD Vance and GOPs attacking VP Harris that she is black and that she's just decided she was black but that was far from the truth.

That would be considered a "Bribe"... and that is illegal. Harris being a former DA, AG and prosecuting attorney, I don't think that is something Kamala would do or even ask her team to do.
