  • This excerpt is from the "Jesus Is Lord" program entitled "Faith Made Perfect by Works" recorded "LIVE" March 30, 1993 where Apostle Joseph Holloway preaches against those that say "Just Believe" and it's nothing else you have to do to be saved. He refers to this so-called faith as "Casper the Ghost Faith" because nobody sees it but the person who says they believe. That type of faith IS NOT the Faith of Jesus Christ. The Faith of Christ has Works of Righteousness that everyone can see and proves the Faith the believer claims to have.

Amen brother. A lot of these young people today want to bring there lazy ways from the world into the gospel. Free isn't free. Freedom takes sacrifice on everybody's part. God proved his love towards us, now we have to prove our love to God.
1 John 3:16 (KJV) Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

To those who have the belief that you "JUST BELIEVE" with NO WORKS (Casper The Ghost Faith) and that JESUS DEATH on the CROSS was his "FINISHED WORK", therefore there is nothing more for you to do, this question is for you.
If CHRIST DEATH ON THE CROSS was his "FINISHED WORK", as you say, then WHY did JESUS COMMAND in LUKE 9:23 (KJV) "And he said to them all, IF ANY MAN WILL COME AFTER ME, let him deny himself, and TAKE UP HIS CROSS DAILY, and FOLLOW ME.", when JESUS himself HAD NOT YET DIED ON THE CROSS?
Please answer according to the scriptures and not your opinions or concepts. We already know the answers are found in multiple scriptures. Let's see if you can find them.
