Intel Arc doesn't make money and they can't even compete in the mid range or high end. They need almost twice as much silicon as AMD or Nvidia for the same performance And even with the budget B580 you run into CPU issues due to bad drivers. With a B780 even the 7800X3D would have issues.
@Violet-ui yep, even the B580 can't be maxed out with something less than latest X3D chips from AMD. But we can't afford losing another competitor in the GPU scene lest we allow NVIDIA to charge multiple organs worth of money for their offerings
I'm rooting for them the way I was rooting for AMD before the Ryzen 1 launch. I love that they're being so matter of fact about it all. Doesn't mean they're speaking the truth, but it makes me excited for the laptop reviews to come out. Desktop stuff will probably still get eaten alive by AMD. The dGPU comment probably means we're not gonna get much more than a 'killer value' gpu in the gaming segment each generation until they maybe go into a chiplet design.
Im sorry for my language, but Screw both Intel and AMD for their naming scheme. As a huge enthusiast I have to spend a HUGE amount of time just to see whats what, can't imagine being just a regular dude that dosen't know better. Its just not consumer friendly.
As a regular dude that's new to PCs. It's SO hard to figure out wtf is what. Other than Nvidia gpus which I can gauge performance by the name. I need to look up what the hell am I actually buying when I get ryzen 7 5700x3d.

@UFDTech Ah, I had guessed that but for whatever reason it didn't seem to be marked as a Members Only video by RUclips at all, must be an issue on their end. Thanks for the news, though!
Intel, I do love your products but please quadruple check everything, we can't have more shenanigans like 13th & 14th and the last generation where you got more performance by disabling some cores 😭 Also Intel is crushing it with Battlemage, I hope to see more of their gpus soon.
Well, hybrid architecture are meant for high efficiency computers. Also the fact that they still prioritizing e cores than P cores on high performance products is meant that the problem might still lingering in there.....
My B580 OC runs like a charm on 1440p. Yes i had to manually install all the drivers but after that i got framerates and upscaling of older games up to 180 fps. My benchmarks show a comparable performence to the 4070 in all high end last year titles.
@@Lovelandmarkmost overhead issues were related to drivers not CPU have seen many with 8th gen i5 and 2st gen ryzen 7 with good performance after rebar enabled
You know the more I think about, the more I realize the fact that whomever came up with these codename deserves a raise, first they are fantastical, the illustrate progress: Alchemist, they are in intense R&D to merge material and magical arts to forge a mystical product the likes of which they have never produced before. Battlemage, have achieved enough progress with the help of the alchemy to truly wage war against a portion of the competition's offerings. Celestial, they make their intentions clear that they are aiming for the top with their understanding of the mystical arts with this generation or otherwise we can expect a HALO product and attempt at Nvidia's crown. Also A, B, and C.
The streaming implementation it something to think of for the future. Like companies will want data centralized and protected access from remote. What best then a PC that is just remoting in with login, hardware and 2FA it would make harder for bad activist to get in.
if only the nameing was rememberable. I do like what Intel is doing with its software support for AI training and inference. the NPU lib in python is really easy to use.
I truly hope for intel to get their shit together. I'm an AMD user myself with a 5700x but i just might get myself a CU 7 265F when it comes out (please intel give us the 265F)
as much as i love amd, intel stepping up their game is a very good thing, especially because of how lackluster zen 5 was and how expensive their stuff is getting.
I wish Intel would make Resizable Bar available for 7th, 8th and 9th generations of CPUs. This way we could better take advantage of the old Small Form Factor business computers with the A380s! Is there going to be a B380?
The thing could beat AMD by 30% while using only 30 watts but until we see whether these chips 💩 the bed and die in a year and a half I'll pass. Remember Raptor Lake looked really good at launch with insane clocks and ST performance, so good many server companies bought them for gaming servers....it was only at the year and a half mark that the chips all started pining for the fjords 💐
Intel I’m rooting for you! However, back burner fix the cpu before nvidia stomps you out. Make a priority to better the gpu and do it fast before you loose momentum.
Ces 2025 really lacked this year in terms of gaming. No ultrawide 4k oled, everybody talked about AI in the most useless places, amd didn't even talk about their gpus and fsr 4 and nvidia on pure copium that their 5070 will match 4090. Other than that, I hope that Intel will fix and improve their gpu drivers and go into higher end market
I like how NVidia shows performance metrics and everybody grabs their pitchforks, but when intel does it everyone is supportive... Did I miss the memo?
Intel needs to announce the B780 :3
Yes!
and probably the B980 beast too
They might not do it on this batch, but might on the next one as one of the guy said in an interview that there is on scue of GPU.

What you are talking about is frame insertion.
Every frame is generated, including true and fake frames.

One odd omission, it's good to compare with older Intel chip, but these were trash. Why not compare it with competition?!? Things aren't that rosey...
