Can we use UCS C220 M3S server for call manager 12.5 version ? Currently this UCS C220 M3S is running the call manager version 9.1.2, we are wondering if this could support 12.5 after upgrade using PCD so we need your inputs to understand. Also any document to upgrade 9.1.2 to 12.5 using PCD Do you have any document elaborating the process to upgrade using PCD. pre requisites and all
Have you though about raising a case with Cisco TAC? From what I can see you may need to upgrade version 9.1.2 or another version that is upgradeable to version 12.5. www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/upgrade/12_5_1/cucm_b_upgrade-migration-guide-125x/cucm_b_upgrade-guide-1251su2_chapter_00.html

+Karen Felix I don't know your company policy, but the TFTP service will be down for about 5 minutes, if that. No body should notice unless your rolling out handsets so I think you should be fine.
How can I upgrade the firmware to just 1 phone, without doing this, which uprades the firmware on all the phones? I would like to test the firmware on 1 phone first before doing a mass deployment.
You can upgrade the firmware and restart ONLY that phone, but remember to put the old firmware back on to your Call Manager. When you reboot the phone it will pull back down the old firmware. 👍
WARNING: If you are still running on Cisco 3550 PoE switches DON'T upgrade the firmware on your IP phone, it will no longer be compatible with the switch and you will need to upgrade to a newer switch model.
+Euan Phipps Interesting, thank you. I will see what switch we are running. I'm actually going to be upgrading firmware on a Cisco 8831. I'm hoping it will resolve an issue with the speed dial. It can speed dial a # just fine, but if I add a pin code, it's not sending those digits through. Users want to program speed dials with pins so they can just jump into a conference calls with a push of a button. Thanks for your response!
Hello, is it possible to upgrade Many visioconférence devices of différent models ( dx80, mx700, mx800 , room kit ...) on the Same Time ?do You have procedure ? Thanks in advance
@@CiscoPhipse yes , installed the New firmware in cucm, i put the version or fimware in the phone load name in all devices then i created a job schedul to upgrade devices by model and device pool
+Ali Khurram This will upgrade the firmware for the IP phone model you specify. The firmware will install/upgrade once the phone is rebooted. So if you have Cisco CP-6921 IP phones ONLY these will receive the new software.
I have CUCM 8.6 and I'm trying to update the firmware on 1000+ 7945's. The firmware is uploaded on CUCM and has been for quite some time. It's listed as the default phone load but won't push to the phones unless we do a hard reset (# at startup and then 1-# on keypad) on each phone manually. Any idea how to get this to go to all phones without touching each one? Great video otherwise! Thanks.
Hi +Steve Price Thank you for your msg. Which version of firmware are you upgrading from and going to? Have you tried doing an incremental upgrade? Have you checked the release notes for that version of firmware?
Excellent video!
Thank you - I made this because I had this issue myself.

Can I reset the Tftp service during business hours? Is the process the same for new firmware load for new models (not upgrade)?

What version of Call Manager CUCM do you use ?
Hi, I used CUCM 7.0.1, but I think it should be v.similar for other versions.
Thanks :)
