I really want this game to get popular. Both as a fan of dragonball and of card games in general. It may be new but it’s definitely my favorite game in a while. The card arts are amazing, gameplay is fairly smooth, and it’s just enjoyable!
Pretty informative. I get it, so good video. This game is simple, and that's good, because I like Force of Will and there's like 2 people that play in my city and DB has been around for awhile. I play MTG, mostly draft.
Not sure if this is good but thanks to you guys I just bought a Trunks deck and a box of the second booster. Also can't wait until Piccolo becomes a leader (He's my favorite character)
This is actually a common error because the wording is weird, but the 0+10k draw boost cards do not grant the extra 10k to the card you combo on. What happens is you are giving the Piccolo (in this case) 10k combo power for the turn, not say Zamasu. However, once the combo is over, the Piccolo goes to the drop area and loses the boost. This is denoted by it saying "this card" which is referring to itself, not the battle card which it would state. It is a common error, but completely changes the dynamic of the game. Thanks for the great video!
Great, after watching this video I ended up buying all the leader cards for this game. Lucky it was only around 2 bucks for all the normal leader cards, but the special promo Son Goku// SSGSS Son Goku was 2.80. So overall for under $5 I got them all and that is a pretty good deal in my book.
I got all of then from Tcg player the newer ones from the draft boxes will be more plus the promo ssj blue goku. But overall they are at most .15 when I got them
This is a good guide. Just today Dec 26 2018 I brought my first cards and I really want to know how to play and now I have an idea on what to do thank you guys.
Get dragon shield sleeves, they last forever. A little pricy for a box, it’s like 12 dollars but it comes with 100 sleeves. Just make sure u get the right size sleeve to fit the cards
This was honestly one of the best tutorials I've seen so far. It was hard for me to keep watching with all the random mouth noises and constant card smacking, I think that's crazy annoying, but that's just me.
Oh no you're good man, I do that during games too. Y'all do a great job explaining the game. I just got into the game and hopefully will start playing meta-cooler soon. Keep posting videos of game play please!
Just got a beginner King Vageta deck today. My friend taught me how to play. But you guys make it simpler. I sucked at it but I won. He has a Broly deck
My buddy just grabbed us each a starter deck, and told me we were going to start playing this game. Just what I need, another card game to spend money on. 😂 But man does it look like fun. Plus I've been s Dragon ball fan since I could walk. 🤷♂️
My friend I play Pokemon with told me that I should get into the DBS card game, funnily enough, you guys are some of my all time favorite poketubers so when I found this, I knew it would be the best chance I'd have to learn how to play since I know I pay attention when you're talking. You two bounce off each other so well, it keeps me interested so I was able to stay focused through the whole thing & I do have a better understanding of it now. It's kinda strange, I thought my background in playing Pokemon would help me learn easier but actually, this game is more similar to the My Little Pony card game believe it or not. In the MLP card game, you have a main character which is like a leader card. There are six colors & the different colors have different advantages such as blue being more speedy, orange has more power, purple is very controlling, & so on. It's been years since I played, I did a combo blue/orange deck which was not advised since I started when the game first came out & there were no cards to support those two being together at the time but I found a trick around it, using blue's speed to move around my big weight orange cards. The main character has a flipping condition but it varies depending on who is your main, Fluttershy, she's a yellow main character, you need to have a certain amount of critters on the play field to flip her. Funnily enough, I used Rainbow Dash as my main & I completely forget her flip condition, I actually only used her as my main since I went to the very first prerelease event for this game & that's the deck I was stuck with, a blue/white deck that I made big modifications to down the road but Rainbow Dash was super OP at the time so it made sense to stick with her as a main. At the beginning of the turn, you get two points that you use to pay the price of the cards but some cards allow you to get extra, mostly that's purple that had you rolling in the dough & I did experiment a lot with purple when I was playing because I like being able to pay for whatever cards I wanted to play & the manipulation you get is so nice. The cards also have color requirement costs but you don't tap cards out in the field in order to play them like if you're playing a purple deck, you want to play down a card that requires at least two purple, if your main isn't flipped yet & you have another one point purple out, you could play it if you can afford the regular cost. The point of the game is to have enough power to confront friendship problems. Each player has a deck of 10 problems & you try to have more power than the other person in order to confront the problems. If you do have more power at a confrontation, you get points on your score card varying on how much the problems give. You have to be the first to get all the points on your score card to win. This is a rough description of the MLP card game, it's a cute fun game for beginners who want to learn how to play card games, assuming they've cleaned things up by now. When it first came out, it was a huge mess. I regularly played with a big group so when I entered a tournament at a convention, I quashed the competition. It's been a long time since I've played, I'm rusty but I know the basic rules. I didn't explain the other stuff such as the troublemakers which makes confronting problems more difficult & stuff but these are the basics. I feel like my knowledge with both that game & Pokemon can really help me out here. You guys making the Pokemon comparisons was very helpful, so glad I'm following you here. My friend tried to encourage me to build a deck using Pilaf as my leader since he's one of my favorite characters from DB & I'm watching Super thinking that there's absolutely no way they could make Pilaf a viable leader, he's still one of my favorites but I don't think he could accomplish much, I mean Oolong was the one that stopped him from ruling the world, that's how bad he is & seeing how overpowered everyone is now, yeah.... no. My friend assured me that he's not that bad but his deck is a bit of a joke. I don't know if my friend is trying to play around with me or what. I told him that I should learn how to play the game first, a mutual friend of ours from our Pokemon league told me that he can build me a good starter deck to practice with so that he can train me so I'm excited that I can get some first hand experience playing against someone who knows what they're doing & actually wants me to learn & get stronger. Once I was able to understand things better, your match became more exciting to watch so I am definitely looking forward to learning more about it when I go to league this Thursday. I might even get a little experience tomorrow since my friend that told me I should play will be going to a different Pokemon league tomorrow. He typically starts off playing Pokemon but then him & the gym leader's daughter end up playing the DBS card game so I look forward to watching them play if I can tomorrow. It's also my parents' anniversary that day so if they invite me to dinner, I'm not going to say no.

you can play online

Same here, I just saw them today at a comic store and I was like omg I need this right now!!!!!!! BUT!!!!!!! I don't know anyone that plays.
@Daniel Martinez nobody plays this!! I have one other friend who likes dragon ball. My other friends dont wanna like it because its anime.

Huh, this is pretty similar to Magic.
It is!
Also Duel masters.
And vangaurd
reminds me sorta like commander
this could be a great replacement for Duelmasters. But with an interesting vanguard style battle system
I just got the game and I didn't know how play but after watching this you guys help play this game
I just have to say you guys did an outstanding job explaining this, I am learning so much because I have these cards and don’t know how to play 😂😂
