I got a 2way Rim Attacker and I'm having fun by affecting the game without relying on a jumpshot like getting my teammates open shots and slowing down pgs on defense. I love that the shooting is so difficult this year. Makes players have to do more than just hunt for 3's!!!!!

People that have been really good for years, but aren’t pro players that can play all day, are the ones getting screwed over this year. The fact that the RNG punishes me for shooting good gives players worse than me a chance to compete. In other words, they made the gameplay more so that not always the best team wins, that way bums have a higher chance to make a couple of shots and keep up against teams that are better than them. That way everyone has a chance to win and “have more fun” in their eyes. They think that way they can get more people to stay playing, but it’s actually the opposite. Only really COMP players will be playing and a few bad casuals. People that’ve played for years are gonna get tired, especially with all the unnecessary changes they keep adding and making you learn. They’re doing a lot of this for money and they’re gonna lose their loyal base of players.
realistically if i’m a professional NBA player that’s supposed to be a shooter i should be making wide open 3’s consistently with the same timing, the only time my shot timing should change is if im doin a off the dribble shot, fading, or low stamina but if i have decent stamina n set shooting why would my shot change?

I been saying this for the longest your height shouldn’t affect your attributes but 2k put a cap on my players since 2k15 so only player who 6’6 and under get the better attributes even though it shouldn’t be like that.
I got banned for "quitting" games(my console turned off 1 too many times mid games) i got 120 mins thats 2hrs i spent those 2hrs in the my court testing out all the difficulty settings and just shooting shots. I dont remember how many shots i took but its was a LOT. Got to a point where i was able to green without even looking at my player im thinking when this ban is done im ready to go out there and start whooping ass.... first game on i went 2/7 then second game 3/11 i shut the game off right there cause this is bs. It genuinely feels like when i shoot im just HOPING it goes in at this point cause CLEARLY i dont fucking know my release 😅😂. Like i can FEEL the change on my shot. Sometimes i might hold the shit a bit later than what my green is suppose to be and im like yeah i missed that i held it a bit late and the shit say "slightly early" excuse tf outta me but are u gon tell me that i DIDNT hold the square button mad long? Or when u think shit i didnt hold it long enough that should be early or sum but nah the shit green. U do realize my court uses ur set difficulty setting and has no lag like any online court. If ur on rookie ur gonna knockdown shots left and right in my court. U need to be going to the outside courts or joining a friend's city while in ur my court. These methods will actually simulate the in-game lag

I was shooting 68% with a 64 3pt in 2k20 65%with a 78 3pt in 2k24 and now shooting 51% in 2k25 with a 76 3pt. Honestly, people need to learn their animations. If people run up on you, it's open, but it gives you a contested release, so it's fast. But when you're open and no one runs at you, it's a regular release, and it is so much slower of a jumpshot. I honestly like it better now. Aint nobody going 14 for 16 from the three👌
Since 20 I stopped playing and got it for free this year its definitely gonna be something wrong every year just came to conclusion especially if they wanna upgrade it every year its gonna be bugs

I think they intentionally make the game worse and worse (or less fun, because people like to say this game is better than previous years) so they can force casual players to get their basketball fix somewhere else...such as GTA 6, a game shared by the same parent company, a game that's planning on coming out with virtual basketball, and a game that a lot of people (such as 2k "casuals") are already getting hyped about. That's why they screwed the dribbling, the shooting, sbmm, lane steals, smoking open lays, etc. They WANT to make the people who cannot dedicate their entire life to the game to become disgruntled and eventually play something else. Give it like 3-4 years, All the 2k "casuals" will be on GTA 6 if they wanna play ball, and 2k will be reserved for only the most dedicated.

@@_XAV_ facts, dawg. Me and my friends ain’t ever been top comp or nothing, but we’re okay on the sticks and we hoop irl together so that’s where a lot of passion for the game comes from. Lately, it’s been impossible for us all to get on and play like we used to cause like you said, the shooting rewarding people who aren’t timing their shot properly, the contest system being practically non-existent, and the passing lanes. We are the ones getting screwed, especially because we don’t try to be meta or anything ( 94 steal, 94+ 3 ball, that sorta thing) just try to make builds we can go out and have fun with. I really hope 2k will one day put out a good game again, or at least some other game developer will release a basketball game again
On the cool I like the shooting on this game, Im not hoping to shoot 60%+ or anything like that so if a few of my shots don't fall, I get some assist or easy dunks & layups off cuts, get that takeover up then look for some jumpers again. I don't feel that I should clip every shot I take just because of my badges or stats, irl you can have perfect conditions and form and miss. I understand it a game so there should be more leeway but just find another way to get involved with the game if your shot isnt falling.

I was shooting 68% with a 64 3pt in 2k20 65%with a 78 3pt in 2k24 and now shooting 51% in 2k25 with a 76 3pt. Honestly, people need to learn their animations. If people run up on you, it's open, but it gives you a contested release, so it's fast. But when you're open and no one runs at you, it's a regular release, and it is so much slower of a jumpshot. I honestly like it better now. Aint nobody going 14 for 16 from the three👌

dawg, I've been talking to my 2's duo abt this. I think they intentionally make the game worse and worse (or less fun, because people like to say this game is better than previous years) so they can force casual players to get their basketball fix somewhere else...such as GTA 6, a game shared by the same parent company, a game that's planning on coming out with virtual basketball, and a game that a lot of people (such as 2k "casuals") are already getting hyped about. That's why they screwed the dribbling, the shooting, sbmm, lane steals, smoking open lays, etc. They WANT to make the people who cannot dedicate their entire life to the game to become disgruntled and eventually play something else. Give it like 3-4 years, All the 2k "casuals" will be on GTA 6 if they wanna play ball, and 2k will be reserved for only the most dedicated.

I kinda agree. I think they divided their audience in two categories: competive sweats and casuals. People that have been really good for years, but aren’t pro players that can play all day, are the ones getting screwed over this year. The fact that the RNG punishes me for shooting good gives players worse than me a chance to compete. In other words, they made the gameplay more so that not always the best team wins, that way bums have a higher chance to make a couple of shots and keep up against teams that are better than them. That way everyone has a chance to win and “have more fun” in their eyes. They think that way they can get more people to stay playing, but it’s actually the opposite. Only really COMP players will be playing and a few bad casuals. People that’ve played for years are gonna get tired, especially with all the unnecessary changes they keep adding and making you learn. They’re doing a lot of this for money and they’re gonna lose their loyal base of players.
@@_XAV_ facts, dawg. Me and my friends ain’t ever been top comp or nothing, but we’re okay on the sticks and we hoop irl together so that’s where a lot of passion for the game comes from. Lately, it’s been impossible for us all to get on and play like we used to cause like you said, the shooting rewarding people who aren’t timing their shot properly, the contest system being practically non-existent, and the passing lanes. We are the ones getting screwed, especially because we don’t try to be meta or anything ( 94 steal, 94+ 3 ball, that sorta thing) just try to make builds we can go out and have fun with.
I really hope 2k will one day put out a good game again, or at least some other game developer will release a basketball game again
On the cool I like the shooting on this game, Im not hoping to shoot 60%+ or anything like that so if a few of my shots don't fall, I get some assist or easy dunks & layups off cuts, get that takeover up then look for some jumpers again. I don't feel that I should clip every shot I take just because of my badges or stats, irl you can have perfect conditions and form and miss. I understand it a game so there should be more leeway but just find another way to get involved with the game if your shot isnt falling.
