Hi Leo, I'm Craig from Australia. I'm 56yo and grew up in the 80's as a gay teen. It was tough back then as no one ever talked about being gay. There was no gay media, there was pretty much no gay representation back then. I felt like I was the only gay in Australia (turns out I wasn't!) Fast-forwarding to today, I love that you've been so upfront and honest in such a public way about you are and the fact that you're proud to be you. So you should be! You speak so eloquently. It sounds like you have a great family & friends who support you too. That being said I know that even these days while things are better than they used to be, they're not perfect. Secondary school was probably quite brutal at times for you. There are still some troglodytes around even today who through ignorance or fear (or just being a dick) seem to take pleasure in bringing others down or bullying. Don't let anyone ever tell you you're less than amazing, and that you can't do something. Keep being strong and proudly being you! This I what I wish I could go back and tell my 16yo self back in 1984. Today I've had a partner for 25 years in a few months, I have a great job as a radio announcer and a really happy life. All stuff I thought was impossible back when I was 16yo as I was so terrified someone would find out I was gay. You come across as being kind, articulate, and smart. I hope your parents are very proud of you. They should be! Not being afraid to be yourself in such a public way will help and inspire countless others around the world to maybe find the courage or take the first step to being who they really are. You will make people you'll never meet feel less alone, less like they're the only person in the world who feels like they do. You'll never know how many people you help, maybe even lives you'll save, by making videos like this. Take care Leo, and I wish you all the best for 2025 from all the way in Australia 😀Craig
I've been watching both of your videos and I must say that you're so brave for telling your story, it's deeply emotional and amazingly structured. You are very wise for your age and you have a big heart Leo! I admire you! I wish the world had more people with values like yours!❤
Hello pal, I’m a 06 trans guy! Life is definitely something being trans. The lack of support feeling alone, dysphoria. I’m glad your happy because we deserve happiness just like anyone else. I didn’t come out as early so your brace dude. Still haven’t come out yet
Hi Leo! I just wanted to say, first of all, your video moved me so much. I'm a 16-year-old trans guy too, and hearing your words was something I didn't know I needed today. You seem like a really cool and caring person, and I'm really looking forward to watching your next videos. I wish the best for you Leo, have a good day:)
You are such an inspiration with all that strength and bravery of yours! Not only for trans people but all people struggling with themselves. I admire your insights, you seem like a brilliant person amazing!❤
I love watching trans creators because they talk about things that would otherwise just live in my own head, since I don't really have anyone to talk to about them. You're close in age to me and I think it's really cool that you're starting this, I think that every youtube creator who makes it big starts really small and just keeps going, so hopefully that will happen for you.
@@Noah-the_trans_guy Thank you so much dude! It can be hard, but as long as you’re safe and happy that’s all that matters, my few videos have short mentions of coming out and dealing with family ❤️
I've always thought it was a stupid phase and I'd get over it, 3 years on, i still feel the same way and it gets worse every day. My family would never accept me if i came out as trans (ftm) but i dont know what i should do, whether i just keep it hidden or something
@Kyougen03 I really hope you’re doing okay, in my next video I will be talking about the state of the UK and puberty blockers, and will include something about dealing with family that might not accept you. Always here if you need me x
The name Leo suits u so well I don't have supporting parents . And I struggle to find the correct name that connects with me Am giving it time To figure myself out . @@Pretoruismatt I actually found names that started with the letter of my old name, picked out my favourites with my family and put them into a hat to pull out! I’m so sorry to hear about your family, that must be so hard. Sometimes it’s just about looking through names and seeing one that jumps out at you! x
