    Welcome to All Things Ireland!
    1 - Lahinch
Lahinch is located on the northwest coast of Ireland, close to the famous cliffs of Moher. Lahinch is a coastal town with some great things to see and do. Lahinch has golf, surfing, swimming and coastal walks to check out. The town itself has some great pubs and really nice hotels. Surfers flock to Lahinch all year round to catch a few large waves, it’s a great area for surfing.
2 - The Cliffs of Moher
The Cliffs of Moher is one of those places that just takes your breath away, the beautiful view from the 300 million-year-old cliffs is unreal. The Cliffs of Moher cover a distance of 8 kilometres and the highest section of the cliffs is 702 feet which is 214 metres.
The Cliffs of Moher are located in Clare in the West of Ireland, this area is about 3 hours and 15 minutes from Dublin. Getting to the Cliffs of Moher is fairly simple with many tour buses travelling to the cliffs from various cities around Ireland.
    3 - The Burren Region
The Burren region is one of Ireland’s National Parks and a wonderful place to visit, it’s one of the best places in Ireland in my opinion. The Burren region is full of interesting things to see and do, there’s walking, hiking, surfing, swimming, exploring caves, tourist attractions and the list goes on. The word Burren means “rocky place” and comes from the word “Boireann” in the Irish language. The Burren was formed between 359 and 299 million years back, during the Carboniferous period. The whole area of the Burren region is roughly 250 square kilometres.
The landscape is grey karst like landscape, some people say it is the closest thing you will get to be on the moon because it’s a type of karst landscape unique looking landscape.
The Burren covers around 0.5 per cent of the whole of Ireland. The region is one of six beautiful national parks in Ireland, and it is the smallest of the national parks. The limestone in some parts is 780 metres thick, that’s a lot of stone! Twenty per cent of the national herd of Feral goats live in the Burren region.
    4 - Spanish Point
Spanish Point has a wonderful beach, a golf course and some great accommodation options. The area is named after the Spanish Armada ships that were wrecked off the coast of Clare way back in 1588, a thousand men lost their lives. Spanish Point is a busy seaside resort, and large numbers of Irish people visit Spanish Point, especially in the summer months.
Spanish Point is located in a very scenic part of Clare and central to a number of attractions like the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren region and the Cliffs of Kilkee and Loop Head peninsula. A range of top-class restaurants is within a short walking distance and the town of Miltown Malbay with its amazing traditional music heritage and lively traditional Irish pubs less than 5 minutes away.
Spanish Point has some greats seafood on offer, the Armada Hotel is a great spot to stop to get some good food and recharge the batteries.
5 - The Wild Atlantic Way Clare
The Wild Atlantic Way Clare has some great places to visit and interesting things to see and do, it’s full of history, cool landscapes and great attractions. The Wild Atlantic Way is a route that covers 2,500 kilometres around a coastal route in Ireland. The Wild Atlantic Way route Clare is included in the Wild Atlantic Way route, it has some of the best scenery you will see, some unreal coastal areas and you will be taken lots of photos of these magical coastal areas!!!
The Wild Atlantic Way Clare has it all, beautiful coastal areas, nice beaches, cool retro Irish pubs and some of the best scenery in all of Ireland.
If you have some spare time while visiting County Clare, try this driving route you won’t be disappointed. You can drive this route whichever way you want to. It’s full of old sites, churches and lots of old Irish castles to check out.
