What if the suffering I've gone through as a child as well as the suffering I'll have for the rest of my life has caused me to feel eternity itself is a hellish idea and I'd rather just not have any eternity at the end? The suffering as a child has left me unable to even want eternity with a god that wanted me to be abused with the underside of a hotwheels track.
I feel intense and completely sorry for your sufferings, I really do, and I hope I can help you with what I'm about to write: there's a difference between design and responsibility. God sovereignly designed/had a purpose on allowing evil and suffering in this world, but he is not the moral responsible for it, since the effective authors of evil are human beings. For those who abused you, God promises powerful vengeance and holy justice. But his design was not merely for you to suffer, but for you to find grace. He heals the sick and strengthens the weak. His grace is designed not to free you from tribulations, but to help you through it. Sin made it impossible to have a world without pain, but God helps us through it, and promises a brighter future in which he'll wipe all our tears off our faces. God is so deeply concerned with our sufferings that He himself shared sufferings with us, dying on a cross. The solution for the problem of evil is not running away from God, but running towards God, who's the only one (again: the only one) with such good news as: there's a better tomorrow. Trusting God is the only way to endure these hard lives we live. May God help you and meet you with grace, my friend.
@@bielmark99 you're wrong, I got through those times and many others without trusting in any god. I only trusted in myself and I made it through. Have I made mistakes? Sure I have, but I learned how to be a better person from making them. Also, god actually did decree parents should beat their children as a form of discipline, Proverbs 23: 13-15, so as far as I'm concerned of the bible is the word of god than what I went through is what he wanted to be done in the name of discipline. Being a product of that it leads me to the position that god is untrustworthy. Im not running away from god, I simply have no reason to care about it if it exists. Edit: I didn't need gods help growing up after that and I don't need it now, thanks though. If god helps me he'll be doing it against my free will.
@@inquisitorbacon8170 well, it doesn't seem like you have really made it through, since you're here wasting your time attacking God and Christian faith. Not much of an "I don't care if it exists", right? And I absolutely guarantee you: God has never intended for parents to abuse their children. Physical discipline is ordained, for sure, but it is not the same as brutal violence. Parents are also commanded not to disrespect the human worth of children. And God's purpose is not for you to be "a better person", but to trust Jesus Christ as your only hope, because that's what He is. No matter what you've been through, God is better.
@@bielmark99 if god is so weak that simply asking questions is an attack and it doesn't want me to be a better person but instead would rather I trust in something that isn't trustworthy to me than it's simply not worth my time. Thank you for helping me find that clarity and have a good one.
@@inquisitorbacon8170 Just because and attack can't hurt it doesn't mean it's not an attack. If that's the same logic you use to interpret Christians faith, than it's helpless. I hope God open your eyes to see the real untrustworthy one is yourself in all your sins and weaknesses.
If there's any roots of bitterness or wickedness, you will be defiled and you will fail or miss the grace of God because of your sexual immorality and unholines with the lord
